5. Fasting
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ went out one day during Ramadan and his head was dripping with semen, but he continued his fast that day.
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ used to go out for Fajr prayer and his head would be dripping with water, then he would remain fasting. Abu Abdur-Rahman said: "This narration is more accurate than the narration of Ka'b and Ka'b ibn Abdullah, as we do not know them and their narrations have errors and additions. The narration of Abu Asim and An-Nadr is more reliable, and the narration of An-Nadr is the most accurate, followed by the narration of Mughirah ibn Miqsam."
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ used to get up from the dark to perform the Fajr prayer, then he would wash himself and observe fasting. It was narrated by Abu Ishaq from Al-Aswad, from Aisha.
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ used to go out for the Fajr prayer, and his head would be dripping from the ritual bath of sexual impurity (janaba), then he would fast that day. Abu Abdullah said, and Abu Yunus narrated this from Aisha without mentioning this wording.
Messenger of Allah, (the time) of prayer overtakes me as I am in a state of junub; should I observe fast (in this state)? Upon this the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: (At times the time) of prayer overtakes me while I am in a state of junub, and I observe fast (in that very state), whereupon he said: Messenger of Allah, you are not like us Allah has pardoned all your sins, the previous ones and the later ones. Upon this he (the Holy Prophet) said: By Allah, I hope I am the most God-fearirg of you, and possess the best knowledge among you of those (things) against which I should guard. (Using translation from Muslim 1110)
