bayhaqi:10548 – Abū Aḥmad ʿAbdullāh b. Muḥammad b. al-Ḥasan al-ʿAdl > Abū Bakr Muḥammad b. Jaʿfar al-Muzakkī > Muḥammad b. Ibrāhīm al-ʿAbdī > Ibn Bukayr > Mālik > Ḥumayd b. Qays al-Makkī > Mujāhid > Kunt

This hadith has been narrated by Ibn Bishr with the same chain of transmitters (but with a slight variation) that he (the Holy Prophet) inquired of them (Jews) about it (fasting on the day of 'Ashura). (Using translation from Muslim 1130b)   

البيهقي:١٠٥٤٨ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ الْعَدْلُ أنا أَبُو بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الْمُزَكِّي ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْعَبْدِيُّ ثنا ابْنُ بُكَيْرٍ ثنا مَالِكٌ عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ الْمَكِّيِّ عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ أَنَّهُ قَالَ كُنْتُ أَطُوفُ مَعَ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ فَجَاءَهُ صَائِغٌ فَقَالَ يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ إِنِّي أَصُوغُ الذَّهَبَ ثُمَّ أَبِيعُ الشَّيْءَ مِنْ ذَلِكَ بِأَكْثَرَ مِنْ وَزْنِهِ فَأَسْتَفْضِلَ فِي ذَلِكَ قَدْرَ عَمَلِ يَدِي فيه فَنَهَاهُ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ عَنْ ذَلِكَ فَجَعَلَ الصَّائِغُ يُرَدِّدُ عَلَيْهِ الْمَسْأَلَةَ وَعَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ يَنْهَاهُ حَتَّى انْتَهَى إِلَى بَابِ الْمَسْجِدِ أَوْ إِلَى دَابَّتِهِ يُرِيدُ أَنْ يَرْكَبَهَا ثُمَّ قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ الدِّينَارُ بِالدِّينَارِ وَالدِّرْهَمُ بِالدِّرْهَمِ لَا فَضْلَ بَيْنَهُمَا هَذَا عَهْدُ نَبِيِّنَا ﷺ إِلَيْنَا وَعَهْدُنَا إِلَيْكُمْ وَقَدْ مَضَى حَدِيثُ مُعَاوِيَةَ حَيْثُ بَاعَ سِقَايَةً مِنْ ذَهَبٍ أَوْ وَرِقٍ بِأَكْثَرَ مِنْ وَزْنِهَا فَنَهَاهُ أَبُو الدَّرْدَاءَ وَمَا رُوِيَ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ ؓ فِي النَّهْيِ

I asked Jabir about the price of a dog and a cat; he said: Messenger of Allah ﷺ disapproved of that.  

مسلم:١٥٦٩ – حَدَّثَنِي سَلَمَةُ بْنُ شَبِيبٍ حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ أَعْيَنَ حَدَّثَنَا مَعْقِلٌ عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ جَابِرًا عَنْ ثَمَنِ الْكَلْبِ وَالسِّنَّوْرِ قَالَ

زَجَرَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ عَنْ ذَلِكَ  

muslim:2120d – [Chain 1] Muḥammad b. Rāfiʿ And Ḥajjāj b. al-Shāʿir Waʿabd b. Ḥumayd > ʿAbd al-Razzāq > Maʿmar > Ayyūb [Chain 2] Abū Jaʿfar al-Dārimī > Abū al-Nuʿmān > Ḥammād b. Zayd > ʿAbd al-Raḥman al-Sarrāj > Nāfiʿ > Ibn ʿUmar

This hadith has been narrated on the authority of Ibn 'Umar through another chain of transmitters.  

مسلم:٢١٢٠d – وَحَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ وَحَجَّاجُ بْنُ الشَّاعِرِ وَعَبْدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ الدَّارِمِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النُّعْمَانِ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ السَّرَّاجِ كُلُّهُمْ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ بِذَلِكَ  

muslim:2242c – Hārūn b. ʿAbdullāh And ʿAbd Allāh b. Jaʿfar > Maʿn b. ʿĪsá > Mālik > Nāfiʿ > Ibn ʿUmar

This hadith has been transmitted on the authority of Ibn 'Umar also.  

مسلم:٢٢٤٢c – وَحَدَّثَنَاهُ هَارُونُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ وَعَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ عَنْ مَعْنِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ مَالِكٍ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ بِذَلِكَ  

abudawud:2070 – Muḥammad b. Yaḥyá b. Fāris > ʿAbd al-Razzāq > Maʿmar > al-Zuhrī > ʿUrwah > Ayyūb > Ibn Abū Mulaykah Bihadhā al-Khabar > Fasakat ʿAlī

The aforesaid tradition has also been transmitted by Ibn Abi Mulaikah. He said “’Ali (Allaah be pleased with him) then kept silence about the marriage (i.e., marrying Abi Jahl’s daughter)  

أبو داود:٢٠٧٠ – حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ فَارِسٍ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ بِهَذَا الْخَبَرِ قَالَ فَسَكَتَ عَلِيٌّ

عَنْ ذَلِكَ النِّكَاحِ  

tirmidhi:971 – Bidhalik ʿAlī b. Ḥujr > Ismāʿīl b. Ibrāhīm > ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz b. Ṣuhayb > Anas b. Mālik

The Prophet said that (a Hadith similar to no. 970).  

Abū ʿĪsá said that this Ḥadīth is Ḥasan-Ṣaḥīḥ.
الترمذي:٩٧١ – حَدَّثَنَا بِذَلِكَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ صُهَيْبٍ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ بِذَلِكَ  

قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ
ahmad:14754 – Mūsá > Ibn Lahīʿah > Abū al-Zubayr Qālasaʾalt Jābir > al-Marʾah Tubāshir al-Marʾah

I asked Jabir about the price of a dog and a cat; he said: Messenger of Allah ﷺ disapproved of that. (Using translation from Muslim 1569)  

أحمد:١٤٧٥٤ – حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ قَالَسَأَلْتُ جَابِرًا عَنِ الْمَرْأَةِ تُبَاشِرُ الْمَرْأَةَ قَالَ

زَجَرَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ عَنْ ذَلِكَ  

ahmad:17352 – Ibn Wahb > ʿĀṣim b. Ḥakīm > Yaḥyá b. Abū ʿAmr al-Saybānī from his father > ʿUqbah b. ʿĀmir al-Juhanī

My nephew, leave him for he defended Messenger of Allah ﷺ. (Using translation from Muslim 2487a)
