I asked Jabir about the price of a dog and a cat; he said: Messenger of Allah ﷺ disapproved of that. (Using translation from Muslim 1569)  

ابن حبّان:٤٩٤٠ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَرُوبَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سَلَمَةُ بْنُ شَبِيبٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَعْيَنَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مَعْقِلُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ جَابِرًا عَنْ ثَمَنِ الْكَلْبِ وَالسِّنَّوْرِ فَقَالَ

«زَجَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَنْ ذَلِكَ»

أحمد:١٧٣٥٢ – وقَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ حَدَّثَنِي عَاصِمُ بْنُ حَكِيمٍ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي عَمْرٍو السَّيْبَانِيِّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ بِذَلِكَ
