زَجَرَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ عَنْ ذَلِكَ

muslim:1130b – Ibn Bashhār And ʾAbū Bakr b. Nāfiʿ > Muḥammad b. Jaʿfar > Shuʿbah > Abū Bishr Bihadhā al-Isnād > Fasaʾalahum

This hadith has been narrated by Ibn Bishr with the same chain of transmitters (but with a slight variation) that he (the Holy Prophet) inquired of them (Jews) about it (fasting on the day of 'Ashura).

مسلم:١١٣٠b – وَحَدَّثَنَاهُ ابْنُ بَشَّارٍ وَأَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ نَافِعٍ جَمِيعًا عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ عَنْ أَبِي بِشْرٍ بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ وَقَالَ فَسَأَلَهُمْ

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ زَجَرَ عَنْ ذَلِكَ

ahmad:14753 – Mūsá > Ibn Lahīʿah > Abū al-Zubayr > Saʾalt Jābir > al-a man Yubāshir al-a man

[Machine] Jaabir restrained the Prophet ﷺ from doing so.
