[Machine] "That is not permissible for you in your religion," he said. I humbled myself, so he mentioned the narration.
I asked Messenger of Allah ﷺ about hunting the game with the help of Mi'rad, whereupon he said: If it strikes (the game) with its point, then eat it, but if it strikes flat, that is (the game is) beaten (into death), (then do not eat that) 'Adi further said: I asked him about hunting with the help of a dog, whereupon he said: If that (the dog) catches it (the game) for you and does not eat out of that, then you eat (the game) for Dhakat (slaughtering) of that is its being caught by it (by the dog). But if you find another dog besides it, and you fear that that dog (the second one) had caught it (the game) along with that (your dog) and killed it. then don't eat; for you recited the name of Allah on your dog and did not recite that on the other one (which joined your dog incidentally). (Using translation from Muslim 1929f)
If it strikes (the game) with its point, then eat, but if it strikes flatly and it dies, that is Waqidh (beaten into death), do not eat that. I asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about (hunting with the help of) dogs, whereupon he said. When you send your dog (for hunting) reciting the name of Allah, then eat (the game), but if some part of it is eaten (by the dogs, then do not eat that, for it (your dog) has caught that (the-game) for itself. I (again) said: If I find along with my dog another dog, and do not know which of (the dogs) has caught (the game). then (what should I do)? Thereupon he ('Messenger of Allah) said: Then don't eat that, for you recited the name of Allah on your dog and not on the other one. (Using translation from Muslim 1929c)
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "When you send your dog and name it to mix with other dogs, and they all chase it, do not eat it because you do not know which one caught it. And when you throw and name it and it hunts, then eat it. If it does not catch anything, do not eat it. Do not eat from the prey unless you have mentioned Allah's name over it. And do not eat from the almond unless you have mentioned Allah's name over it."
[Machine] I asked, "O Messenger of Allah, should I send my trained dog?" He said, "If you send your trained dog and mention the name of Allah, then it will be a means of holding you back, so you may eat from its lawful catch." I asked, "And what if it kills?" He said, "If it kills except for a dog similar to it, then it is permissible (to eat)." I asked, "O Messenger of Allah, should I throw it from its hunting position?" He said, "As long as it does not tear the animal apart, then eat from it. But if it tears it apart, then do not eat it."
[Machine] I said, "O Messenger of Allah, then he mentioned its meaning."

[Machine] "We were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on a journey during the month of Ramadan. When the sun set, he said, 'Get down, O so-and-so, and prepare some food for us.' The person replied, 'O Messenger of Allah, it is still daytime.' He repeated, 'Get down and prepare some food.' So the person got down and prepared food and the Prophet drank. After drinking, he pointed with his hand towards the west and said, 'When the sun sets here, the night starts from here, and the fasting person breaks his fast.'"
[Machine] Ibn Shaddad and Abu Burdah sent me and said, "Go to Ibn Abi Awfa and convey to him that Abdullah ibn Shaddad and Abu Burdah send their greetings to him, and they ask if you used to lend in the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ regarding wheat, barley, and oil." He replied, "Yes, we used to distribute the spoils of war in the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , and we used to lend them in wheat, barley, date palm, and oil. I asked those who had crops and those who did not. They said, 'We were not questioned about that.' They told me to go to Abdur Rahman ibn Abza and ask him, so I went and asked him, and he said the same as Ibn Abi Awfa had said. Abu Muawiya narrated it from Zaidah, from Ash-Shaybani who said, 'And oil..."

"I heard Ibn Abi Awfa say: 'The Messenger of Allah [SAW] forbade Nabidh made in green earthenware jars.' I said: 'And white ones?' He said: 'I do not know.'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 5621)
"I asked 'Abdullah bin Abu Awfa about killing locusts and he said: I went on six campaigns with the Messenger of Allah hand we ate locusts." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 4357)
[Machine] We were with the Prophet ﷺ on a journey, and he said to a man, "Descend and prepare food for us." Sufyan said once, "Prepare food for me." He said, "O Messenger of Allah! The sun is still high." He said, "Descend and prepare food for us." Sufyan said once again, "Prepare food for me." He said, "O Messenger of Allah! The sun." He said, "Descend and prepare food." So he prepared food and we drank. When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ drank, he pointed with his hand towards the night and said, "When you see the night coming from this direction, the fasting person breaks his fast."
[Machine] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Make use of the pots with what it contains.' I mentioned this to Sa'id ibn Jubayr, and he said, 'Indeed, the prohibition was only regarding consuming the scorched remains.'"
“When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ raised his head from Ruku’, he said: ‘Sami’ Allahu liman hamidah, Allahumma, Rabbana lakal-hamd, mil’ as-samawati wa mil’ al- ard wa mil’ ma shi’ta min shay’in ba’d (Allah hears those who praise Him. O Allah! O our Lord, to You is the praise as much as fills the heavens, as much as fills the earth and as much as You will after that).’” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 878)
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to make supplication saying, "O Allah, purify me with snow, cold, and cold water. O Allah, purify my heart from sins as You have purified the white garment from filth. And distance me from my sins as You have distanced between the East and the West. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from a heart that does not feel humility, from a soul that is never satisfied, from a supplication that is not answered, and from knowledge that is of no benefit. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from these four things. O Allah, I ask You for a pious life, a noble death, and a return that does not bring disgrace."
[Machine] Sham saw the Christians prostrating to their bishops and their priests, so he thought to himself that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ is more deserving to be honored. When he arrived, he said, "O Messenger of Allah, I saw the Christians prostrating to their bishops and priests, so I thought to myself that you are more deserving to be honored." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ replied, "If I were to command anyone to prostrate to another, I would have commanded women to prostrate to their husbands. And no woman fulfills her duty to Allah (SWT) completely until she fulfills her duty to her husband completely. Even if he asks for herself while she is on the back of a camel, she should give it to him."

[Machine] "He came to Sham (Syria) and saw the Christians, so he mentioned their meaning except that he said, 'Why do you do this?' They said, 'This was the greeting of the Prophets before us.' So I said, 'We have more right to do this with our Prophet.' The Prophet of Allah ﷺ said, 'They have lied about their Prophets and distorted their scriptures. Indeed, Allah has replaced something better than that - the greeting of the people of Jannah (Paradise): Peace.'"
Whenever a person came to the Prophet ﷺ with his alms, the Prophet ﷺ would say, "O Allah! Send your Blessings upon so and so." My father went to the Prophet ﷺ with his alms and the Prophet ﷺ said, "O Allah! Send your blessings upon the offspring of Abu Aufa." (Using translation from Bukhārī 1497)
I said to 'Abdullah b. Abi Aufa: Did Messenger of Allah ﷺ give glad tidings of Paradise to Khadija? He said: Yes. He did give glad tidings to her of a palace of jewels in Paradise wherein there would be no noise and no toil. (Using translation from Muslim 2433a)
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed the Umrah and circled the House (the Kaaba). Then, he went out and made another circuit between Safa and Marwa. We made sure to shield him from the people of Mecca, so that no one would throw something at him or harm him. I heard him supplicating against the tribes, saying: "O Allah, the One who revealed the book swiftly bringing to account. Defeat the confederates, O Allah, and shake them."
[Machine] I asked Abdullah bin Abi Awfa, did the Prophet ﷺ recommend anything? He replied, no. So I asked, then how did the Prophet ﷺ instruct the Muslims regarding wills? He said, he instructed through the Book of Allah.
[Machine] A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "O Messenger of Allah, I am unable to read the Quran, so teach me something that will suffice me." The Prophet ﷺ said to him, "Say Alhamdulillah (praise be to Allah), Subhanallah (glory be to Allah), La ilaha illallah (there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah), Allahu Akbar (Allah is the greatest), and La hawla wa la quwwata illa billah (there is no power or might except with Allah)." The man said these words, raised his hand, and counted five with his fingers. He then said, "O Messenger of Allah, what about me?" The Prophet ﷺ said to him, "Say Allahumma ghfirli (O Allah, forgive me), wa arhamni (and have mercy on me), wa 'afini (and grant me safety), wa ahdi ni (and guide me), wa rzuqni (and provide for me)." The man said these words, raised his other hand, and also counted five with his fingers. The man then left, and he had closed both of his hands, so the Prophet ﷺ said, "Indeed, he has filled his hands with goodness."
[Machine] I was with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when a young boy came to him and said, "O Messenger of Allah, here is an orphan boy whose mother has passed away and he has a sister who is also an orphan. We are in need of food, so please give us some of the food that Allah has provided for you so that you may be satisfied." Then the boy mentioned the entire story in detail.
[Machine] A man came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "O Messenger of Allah, here is a boy who is about to die and they say to him, 'Say there is no god but Allah,' but he is unable to say it." The Prophet ﷺ said, "Was he not saying it during his lifetime?" The man replied, "Yes, he was saying it." The Prophet ﷺ asked, "Then what prevented him from saying it at the time of his death?" Then he mentioned the narration in its entirety.

He said, "Rather, all of the Khawarij are among them." I said, "If the ruler oppresses the people and harms them?" He grabbed my hand and squished it hard with his hand, then he said, "Woe to you, O son of Jumhān! Woe to you with the greatest calamity! Woe to you with the greatest calamity! If the ruler listens to you, go to him in his house and inform him of what you know. If he accepts from you, then good. If not, then leave him, for you are not more knowledgeable than him."

He did that once or twice, then he said, "Did it not tire you to bring me forward before the funeral?" He said, "I heard a woman mourning and saying a eulogy." He said, "Why did you not prevent her from doing so? Verily, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to forbid eulogies, so that one of you could let out her grief as she wished." When the funeral was set down, he came forward and made four takbirs (saying, "Allahu Akbar"). Then he stood for a moment, then praised Allah. Some people started to supplicate, and he brushed his beard with his hand and said, "Did you think that I was going to make a fifth takbir?" They said, "Yes." He said, "Verily, when the Prophet ﷺ made the fourth takbir, he would pause for a moment. When the funeral was set down, he would sit, and we would sit around him. He was asked about the meat of the domesticated donkeys. He said, "We came across a group of domesticated donkeys on the day of Khaibar. They had strayed away from the village, so the people slaughtered them. Indeed, the pots were boiling when a caller from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ called out, 'Pour them out!' So we poured them out. And I saw Abdullah ibn Abu Awfa rubbing green matter from the pots."

[Machine] I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while he was at 'Ukaz, and I asked him, "Who is following you in this matter?" He replied, "A free man and a slave, Abu Bakr and Bilal." He asked me to return until Allah makes it easy for His Messenger, so I came to him afterwards and said, "O Messenger of Allah, may Allah make me a ransom for you! There is something that I know and you do not, it does not harm you, and Allah benefits me with it. Is there any hour that is better than another hour? And is there any hour in which one should be cautious?" He said, "You have asked me about something which no one before you has asked me. Allah descends to the lowest heaven in the last third of the night and forgives all sins except for shirk and acts of disobedience. The prayer is witnessed and prohibited. Pray until the sun rises, then refrain from prayers, for it rises between the horns of Satan, and this is the prayer of the disbelievers. When the sun has risen, pray, for the prayer is witnessed and prohibited until the day becomes equal to the night. When the day becomes equal to the night, shorten your prayers, for they are hours when Hellfire is kindled. When the sun declines, pray, for the prayer is witnessed and prohibited until the sun sets. When the sun sets, shorten your prayers, for it sets between the horns of Satan, and this is the prayer of the disbelievers."

[Machine] I came to the Prophet ﷺ and asked, "Who follows you in your commands?" He replied, "Free people and slaves," meaning Abu Bakr and Bilal. And Umar used to say after that, "Indeed, I have seen myself as the fourth pillar of Islam."

[Machine] I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "O Messenger of Allah, who is with you in this matter?" He said, "Free men and slaves." I said, "What is Islam?" He said, "Good words and feeding others." I said, "What is faith?" He said, "Patience and tolerance." I said, "Which aspect of Islam is best?" He said, "One who Muslims are safe from his tongue and hand." I said, "Which aspect of faith is best?" He said, "Good character." I said, "Which prayer is best?" He said, "Long standing in prayer." I said, "Which migration is best?" He said, "To abandon what your Lord dislikes." I said, "Which jihad is best?" He said, "To fight in the way of Allah with your wealth and your life." I said, "Which hours of the day are best?" He said, "The last part of the night, then the witnessed prayer until the dawn rises. When the dawn comes, there is no prayer except two units until you pray the Fajr prayer. When you have prayed the Fajr prayer, refrain from praying until the sun has risen. When the sun rises, it rises between the two horns of Satan, and the disbelievers prostrate to it. Refrain from praying until it has risen high. When it becomes high, pray, for the prayer is witnessed until the shadow of a spear's length has passed. When the shadow has passed, refrain from praying, for the prayer is witnessed until the sun has set. When it has set, refrain from praying, for it sets or disappears between the two horns of Satan, and the disbelievers prostrate to it."

[Machine] There was a covenant between Muawiyah and a group of people from the Romans. Muawiyah went out and started walking in their land until they violated the covenant, so he changed his attitude towards them. Then a man called out among the people, saying, "Verily, it is fidelity, not treachery!" It was Amr ibn Abasa, who said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , saying, 'Whoever has a covenant with a people, should not tighten its knot, nor undo it until its appointed time is concluded or he breaks it equally with them.'"

[Machine] Narrated a hadith that I heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ that contains no sarcasm or misconception. He said, "Whoever has three children born to him in Islam and they die before reaching the age of puberty, Allah will admit him to Paradise by His mercy. And whoever grows gray hair in the path of Allah, it will be a light for him on the Day of Resurrection. And whoever throws an arrow in the path of Allah, whether it hits or misses, it will be for him as if he had set free a neck from slavery. And whoever sets free a believing slave, Allah will set free for every limb of the slave a limb from the Fire. And whoever spends on two spouses in the path of Allah, then for Paradise there are eight gates for him to enter from any gate he wishes."
