The Prophet ﷺ was on a journey while he was fasting. He called his companion with his drink who said, "If you reach the evening, O Messenger of Allah." Then he called him and said, "If you reach the evening." thrice. The Prophet ﷺ said, "When the night comes from here, it is time to break the fast" or with another wording.  

أحمد:١٩٤١٣حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ الشَّيْبَانِيِّ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ أَبِي أَوْفَى قَالَ

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فِي سَفَرٍ وَهُوَ صَائِمٌ فَدَعَا صَاحِبَ شَرَابِهِ بِشَرَابٍ فَقَالَ صَاحِبُ شَرَابِهِ لَوْ أَمْسَيْتَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ثُمَّ دَعَاهُ فَقَالَ لَهُ لَوْ أَمْسَيْتَ ثَلَاثًا فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا جَاءَ اللَّيْلُ مِنْ هَاهُنَا فَقَدْ حَلَّ الْإِفْطَارُ أَوْ كَلِمَةً هَذَا مَعْنَاهَا
