[Machine] A man came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "O Messenger of Allah, here is a boy who is about to die and they say to him, 'Say there is no god but Allah,' but he is unable to say it." The Prophet ﷺ said, "Was he not saying it during his lifetime?" The man replied, "Yes, he was saying it." The Prophet ﷺ asked, "Then what prevented him from saying it at the time of his death?" Then he mentioned the narration in its entirety.  

أحمد:١٩٤١١قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ وَكَانَ فِي كِتَابِ أَبِي حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ أَخْبَرَنَا فَائِدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ أَبِي أَوْفَى قَالَ

جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّ هَاهُنَا غُلَامًا قَدْ احْتُضِرَ يُقَالُ لَهُ قُلْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ فَلَا يَسْتَطِيعُ أَنْ يَقُولَهَا؟ فَقَالَ أَلَيْسَ كَانَ يَقُولُهَا فِي حَيَاتِهِ؟ قَالَ بَلَى قَالَ فَمَا مَنَعَهُ مِنْهَا عِنْدَ مَوْتِهِ؟ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ بِطُولِهِ
