I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: Straighten your rows, or Allah would create dissension amongst you. (Using translation from Muslim 436a)
"Indeed the person among the inhabitants of the Fire punished least [on the Day of Judgment] is a man who has two coals beneath his feet, which cause his brain to boil." Other chains report similar narrations. (Using translation from Tirmidhī 2604)
the Messenger of Allah (saas) said: "Indeed the supplication is the worship." Then he recited: "And your Lord said: Invoke Me, I will respond to you." (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3828)
[Machine] That the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , performed prayer at the time of the solar eclipse and he would bow and prostrate.
Nu'man b. Bashir reported that Muslims are like one body of a person; if the eye is sore, the whole body aches, and if the head aches, the whole body aches. (Using translation from Muslim 2586d)
[Machine] Abu Bakr sought permission from the Prophet ﷺ. Aisha, who had her voice raised at the Prophet ﷺ, heard him and gave him permission to enter. He entered and said, "O daughter of Umm Roman, do you raise your voice at the Messenger of Allah ﷺ?" The Prophet ﷺ settled the matter between them. When Abu Bakr left, the Prophet ﷺ said to her, "Are you pleased? Can't you see that I have settled between the man and you?" Abu Bakr came back and sought permission from him, but found the Prophet ﷺ making her laugh. He gave him permission and he entered. Abu Bakr said to him, "O Messenger of Allah, you make me a partner in your peace as you made me a partner in your war."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Everything has a fault except the sword, and every mistake has a whip."
[Machine] "I know better than anyone else about the timing of the Prophet's ﷺ Isha prayer. He used to pray it for the duration of how long the moon disappears on the third or fourth night."
"A man was brought to An-Nu'man bin Bashir who had relations with the slave girl of his wife. He said: 'I give you judgement about her case according to the judgement of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ: If she made her lawful for him, then I will lash him one hundred times, and if she did not make her lawful, then I will stone him." (Using translation from Tirmidhī 1451)
[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ delivering a sermon saying, "I have warned you about the Hellfire, I have warned you about the Hellfire, to the extent that even if a man was at the market, he would hear me from this pulpit." He ﷺ said, "Even a shirt that was on his shoulders will fall when it reached his feet."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I have warned you about the Fire. I have warned you about the Fire until even if a man was in the furthest corner of the market, he would hear it, and the people of the market would hear his voice while he is on the pulpit."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to align us in rows until it was as if he was walking with us, touching our chests. When he wanted to make the takbir (proclamation for prayer), he saw a man whose chest was protruding, so he said, "Line up your rows or Allah will cause divisions among your faces."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "The example of the Mujahid in the cause of Allah is like the example of the one who fasts during the day and stands in prayer at night until he returns home."
[Machine] He heard Nu'man ibn Bashir saying on the pulpit of Hims, "We stood with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on the twenty-third night of Ramadan until the first third of the night, then we stood with him on the twenty-fifth night until midnight, then he stood with us on the twenty-seventh night until we thought we would not be able to reach the pre-dawn meal. He said, 'We used to call the pre-dawn meal the meal of halaqah (cutting off)'. As for us, we would say, 'The seventh night, the twenty-seventh night', and you would say, 'The twenty-third night, the seventh night'. So which of us is correct, us or you?"
[Machine] "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'Whoever gifts a small fragrance, gold, or gives milk to drink, or guides someone on a right path, then it is like setting a slave free in the eyes of Allah.'"
[Machine] We accompanied the Prophet ﷺ and heard him say, "Indeed, prior to the Hour, there will be trials like segments of a dark night. In one part of it, a man will be a believer in the morning and a disbeliever in the evening, and in another part, he will be a disbeliever in the morning and a believer in the evening. People will sell their religion for a small worldly gain or a price as insignificant as the price of a goat." Al-Hasan said, "By Allah, we have seen those people as images without intellects, bodies, or dreams – like a fire and a greedy fly. They would wake up with two dirhams and spend them by the evening. One of them would sell his religion for the price of a goat."
[Machine] "I will decide that according to the ruling of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . If you have permitted it for him, I will strike him with a hundred lashes, and if you have not permitted it for him, I will stone him."
Return of the Khilafah upon the Prophetic methodology
We were sitting in the mosque with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and Bashir was a man who rarely spoke. Abu Thalabah al-Khushani came and said, "O Bashir bin Sād, do you preserve the hadith of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ regarding the rulers?" Huzayfah replied, "I preserve his sermon." Abu Thalabah sat down and Huzayfah said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Prophethood will remain among you as long as Allah wills. Then, Allah will raise it up when He wills. Then, there will be Khilafah on the Prophetic method, and it will remain as long as Allah wills. Then, Allah will raise it up when He wills. Then, there will be a biting monarchy, and it will remain as long as Allah wills. Then, Allah will raise it up when He wills. Then, there will be a tyrannical rule, and it will remain as long as Allah wills. Then, Allah will raise it up when He wills. Then, there will be Khilafah on the Prophetic method. Then, he remained silent.'"
“From wheat comes wine, from barley comes wine, from raisins comes wine, from dates comes wine and from honey comes wine.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3379)
[Machine] Narrated by the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, he said: "A man traveled through a barren land, and Hasan mentioned in his narration that it means a desert. The man sat under a tree with his riding animal, along with his baggage and food. He fell asleep and did not notice them. He woke up and did not see them. He climbed a hill, but did not see them. Then he turned around and suddenly found them being pulled by its reins. He was so overjoyed by Allah's forgiveness of His servant's repentance, that he said: 'This is greater joy than that of a man who finds his lost camel.'"
Note: The passage is a narration from the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ , and it describes an incident involving a man who thought he lost his belongings in the desert but then found them, leading him to express his happiness and gratitude for Allah's forgiveness.
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to recite at the two 'Ids (festivals) and on Friday, "Glorify the name of your most high Lord." (87) and "Has the story of the overwhelming reached you?" (88) He said: When a festival ('Id) and a Friday coincided, he recited them both (at the two prayers). (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1122)
[Machine] I heard Nu'man ibn Bashir, who was the governor of Kufa, say: "My father assigned me a servant, so I went to the Prophet ﷺ to bear witness. He asked me, 'Did you provide for your son?' I replied, 'No.' He then said, 'I will not bear witness to an injustice.'"
[Machine] I heard the Prophet ﷺ saying: "The example of the person abiding by Allah's limits and the one who exceeds them is like the example of people who drew lots for their seats in a boat. Some of them got seats in the upper part, and the others in the lower part. When the latter needed water, they had to go up to bring water (and that troubled the others), so they said, 'Let us make a hole in our part of the ship (and get water) saving those who are above us from troubling them.' So, if the people in the upper part left the others do what they had suggested, all the people of the ship would be destroyed, but if they prevented them, both parties would be saved."
[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "Whenever I heard him say, 'I have heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say,' I would think that I would not hear anyone else on the pulpit say, 'I have heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say.' Verily, in the body there is a piece of flesh; if it is healthy, the whole body is healthy, and if it is corrupt, the whole body is corrupt. Behold, it is the heart."
I heard the Prophet ﷺ saying, "The person who will have the least punishment from amongst the Hell Fire people on the Day of Resurrection, will be a man under whose arch of the feet a smoldering ember will be placed so that his brain will boil because of it." (Using translation from Bukhārī 6561)
that the Prophet ﷺ said: "Indeed Allah wrote in a book two thousand years before He created the heavens and the earth, and He sent down two Ayat from it to end Surat Al-Baqarah with. If they are recited for three nights in a home, no Shaitan shall come near it." (Using translation from Tirmidhī 2882)
I am the one who is best informed of the time of this prayer, i.e. the night prayer. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to offer it at the hour when the moon went down on its third night. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 419)
[Machine] "That Prophet said, may ﷺ , and Surayj said in his narration: I heard the Prophet, may ﷺ , saying: "The example of the believer is like that of a body; when one part of it suffers, the rest of it feels the pain."
[Machine] He heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ mentioning about Al-Raquim and said, "Verily, there were three persons in a cave, and the mouth of the cave was closed by a big stone. They said to each other, 'Invoke Allah using the righteous deeds you have performed for His sake only, and ask Him to remove this rock from us.' So, one of them said, 'O Allah! I had old parents and I used to offer them milk before any of my children or slaves. One day, I went far away in search of grazing and could not come back until late at night and found that they had slept. I milked the animals for them (to drink in the morning) and took the milk to them. I found them both asleep. I disliked to wake them up and also disliked to give the milk to my children before them (for fear of displeasing them). So, I waited for them (to wake up), and the children cried out of hunger at my feet till the day dawned. O Allah! If I did that for Your sake only, give us an exit through it.' So, the rock was moved a bit but still they could not exit. The second said, 'O Allah! I had a cousin whom I loved more than any body else (in another version he said, 'we had been looking forward to that journey voraciously') but she refused to yield herself to me. I asked her to surrender herself to me but she refused saying that she would not surrender herself to me unless I gave her one-hundred Dinars (gold pieces). So, I struggled hard to collect that amount. And when I sat between her legs (to have sexual intercourse with her), she said, 'O Allah's slave! Be afraid of Allah and do not break the seal unlawfully' (i.e., do not have sexual intercourse without being legally married to her). So, I got up (rejected the idea of unlawfully having sexual intercourse with her and) left her. O Allah! If I did that for Your sake only, please remove the distress in which we are.' So, that rock was moved a bit more but still they could not get out. The third said, 'O Allah! I employed a laborer for wages equal to a Faraq (a certain measure of grain). After finishing his job, he demanded his wages but when I presented his due to him, he gave it up and went away refusing to take it. So, I sowed those wages and these seeds grew up and then these grew up and multiplied till I got much property. He came and said, 'O Allah's slave! Pay me my wage.' I said to him, 'These are the cows, and this is the cowherd and this is the place where the cows are kept.' He said, 'What is this?' I said, 'These are for you.' He said, 'You are joking with me.' I said, 'No, by Allah, I am not joking with you.' So, he took all the cows and the cowherd and asked for a cow and a she-camel to be given to him separately. (The narrator added, 'The Prophet ﷺ said, 'That laborer was Usama bin Zaid.') The third said, 'O Allah! If I did that for Your sake only, please relieve us from our distress.' So, Allah released them (from their distress)."
