[Machine] The first people to arrive in the city from the companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ were Mus'ab bin Umair and Ibn Umm Maktum, and they used to teach the people. Then Bilal, Saad, and Ammar bin Yasir arrived, followed by Umar bin Al-Khattab, who was the twentieth companion of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ arrived, and I have never seen the people of the city so happy as they were upon the arrival of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . Even the slave women used to say, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ has arrived." He said, "Then when he arrived, I heard him reciting, "Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High" in a voice clear and distinct."
[Machine] Narrated Al-Bara' bin 'Azib: I did not hear anything from Abu Ishaq about Al-Bara'. Abu Ishaq said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed by a group of people sitting in the road. He said, 'If you have to do that, then give the right of way, greet with salam, and help the oppressed.' 'Afan said, 'And support the weak.' Abu Sa'id narrated it to us on the authority of Shu'bah, who narrated it on the authority of Abu Ishaq. He said, 'Help the oppressed.' Aswad narrated it to us on the authority of Isra'il, who narrated it to us on the authority of Abu Ishaq, "And he ﷺ said, 'Help the oppressed.' Husain said, 'Help the oppressed.' And this is what Isra'il said."
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was carrying the earth with us on the Day of Ahzab and the whiteness of his belly had been covered with earth. (While engaged in this toil) he was reciting: By God, if Thou hadst not guided us We would have neither been guided aright nor practised charity, Nor offered prayers. Descend on us peace and tranquillity. Behold I these people (the Meccans) refused to follow us. According to another version, he recited: The chieftains (of the tribes) refused to follow us When they contemplated mischief, we rejected it. And with this (verse) he would raise his voice. (Using translation from Muslim 1803a)
[Machine] "I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on the Day of the Trench while he was carrying the soil and he mentioned something similar."
[Machine] I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on the day of the trench, carrying soil and he mentioned something similar to that.

We found on the Day of Khaibar domestic asses, and the announcer of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ made an announcement that the earthen pots should be turned over. (Using translation from Muslim 1938b)
[Machine] About the Prophet ﷺ , his like, and the son of Ja'far in this narration, he said, "I heard Al-Bara'ah and the son of Abu Awwa..."
[Machine] Narrated by the Prophet ﷺ , he said: "The punishment of the grave is mentioned, and it is said to him, 'Who is your Lord?' He replies, 'Allah is my Lord, and Muhammad is my Prophet.' This is in accordance with Allah's saying, 'Allah will establish in steadfastness those who have believed with the firm word in worldly life.' (Surah Ibrahim, 27). This means the Muslim."
from 'Adi bin Thabit, from Al-Bara bin 'Azib, that he heard the Prophet ﷺ, or - he said: "The Prophet ﷺ said, about the Ansar: 'No one loves them except a believer, and no one hates them except a hypocrite. Whoever loves them, then Allah loves him, and whoever hates them then Allah hates him.'" So we said to him: "Did you hear this from Al-Bara?" He said: "He narrated it to me." (Using translation from Tirmidhī 3900)
I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ with Al-Hasan b. 'Ali placed upon his shoulders and he was saying: O Allah, I love him, and love him Thou. (Using translation from Muslim 2422b)
[Machine] People passed by us in a hurry, so we asked them, "Where are you going?" They replied, "We have been sent by the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to a man who comes to his father's wife, so that we may kill him."
[Machine] My uncle, Al-Harith bin Amr, passed by me with a battalion that the Prophet ﷺ had given to him. So I said to him, "Oh my uncle, where did the Prophet ﷺ send you?" He replied, "He sent me to a man who married his father's wife, and he commanded me to strike his neck."
[Machine] The people of Mecca have stipulated to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ that no one from his companions should enter Mecca with any weapon, except a weapon sheathed in its scabbard.
[Machine] When we used to pray behind the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , we would stand in rows until he prostrated, and then we would follow him.
[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say to the Ansar, "Indeed, you will meet me after me at the pool." They said, "So what do you command us?" He said, "Be patient until you meet me at the pool."
[Machine] "I traveled with the Prophet ﷺ eighteen times and I never saw him omit the two rak'ahs before Zuhr prayer."
[Machine] We were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on a journey, and we came across a small pond with very little water. He descended into it along with six of us, and I brought a bucket of water. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ positioned himself on the edge of the pond, and we filled half or two-thirds of it with water. Then, the bucket was raised to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . Al-Bara' said, "I was about to collapse with the weight of my water vessels. I hoped to find something to place on my throat, but I couldn't find anything. So, the bucket was raised to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , and he dipped his hand into it and said, 'By the will of Allah!' Then, the bucket was returned to us with all its water intact. Al-Bara' said, 'I had seen each one of us being brought out wearing a soaked garment out of fear of drowning.' Then, he said, 'And then my hands moved, indicating the flow of a river.'"

[Machine] We fought alongside the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in fifteen battles, and Abdullah bin Umar and I were present.
the Prophet (saas) said to a man: "When you go to lay down, or go to your bed, say: Allahumma aslamtu wajhi ilayka, wa al-ja'tu zahri ilayka, wa fawwadtu amri ilayka, raghbatan wa rahbatan ilayka, la malja'a wa la manja'a minka illa ilayka, amantu bi kitabikal-ladhi anzalta, wa nabiyyikal arsalta [O Allah, I have submitted my face (i.e., myself) to You, and I am under Your command (i.e., I depend upon You in all my affairs), and I put my trust in You, hoping for Your reward and fearing Your punishment. There is no fleeing from You and no refuge from You except with You. I believe in Your Book that You have revealed and in Your Prophet whom You have sent).' Then if you die that night, you will die in a state of the Fitrah (nature), and if you wake in the morning you will wake with a great deal of good." (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3876)
[Machine] "I repeated it to the Prophet ﷺ , and when I conveyed it, I believed in your book that you have revealed. I said and in your messenger." He replied, "No, and in your Prophet, whom you have sent."
[Machine] A man came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and asked him about "Al-Kalālah." He replied, "The verse of At-Sayf (i.e., the verse of inheritance) is sufficient for you."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed by a gathering of the Ansar and said, "If you refuse anything other than sitting, guide the way, return greetings, and help the oppressed."
[Machine] There was a man reading Surah Al-Kahf in his house, and next to him was his horse tied to two stakes, until a cloud came and approached him. The cloud kept coming closer and closer until his horse became scared of it. The man said, "I was amazed by this." When morning came, he went to the Prophet ﷺ and mentioned this to him, narrating the story. The Prophet ﷺ said, "That was tranquility descending with the recitation of the Quran."
[Machine] "A man came to the Prophet ﷺ wearing a mask made of iron, and he asked, 'Should I fight or should I become a Muslim?' The Prophet ﷺ replied, 'Rather, become a Muslim and then fight.' So, he embraced Islam and then fought. But he was killed in battle. Upon this, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'He did a little, but he will be rewarded greatly.'"
[Machine] On the day of Uhud, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ stationed fifty archers at a certain point and told them, "If you see that the birds are snatching us away, do not leave your positions until I send for you. And if you see us prevailing over the enemy and trampling them, do not leave until I send for you." Abdullah ibn Jubayr said, "Indeed, we saw the women tightening their belts and raising their clothes while standing on the mountains." The companions of Abdullah ibn Jubayr asked, "What about the spoils? O people of the spoils, your companions have prevailed, so why are you waiting?" Abdullah ibn Jubayr replied, "Have you forgotten what the Messenger of Allah ﷺ told you?" They said, "By Allah, we will not give up our shares of the spoils." When they reached the enemy, their faces turned back in defeat and they retreated. This was what the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had warned them about. Only twelve men remained with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and they killed seventy captives and seventy enemies on the day of Badr. Abu Sufyan asked, "Is Muhammad among the people?" He repeated the question three times until the Messenger of Allah ﷺ stopped them from answering. Then he asked, "Is the son of Abu Quhafa among the people?" He repeated the question twice until Abu Bakr and Umar answered. Then he turned to his companions and said, "As for these, they have been killed and you have already avenged them. So, Umar has no right to say that you have told a lie. By the Lord of Allah, all those whom you counted are alive, and you still have what will harm you." He recited, "On the day of Badr, and war is a thing in which you will find great recklessness. And you will surely find there among them a great disturbance." Then he began to recite the verse, "O believers, respond to Allah and to the Messenger when he calls you to that which gives you life." They asked, "O Messenger of Allah, what should we say?" He replied, "Say, 'Allah is our Protector and you have no protector.'"

[Machine] The Prophet of Allah ﷺ said: "When two Muslims meet and shake hands, and one of them praises Allah, then they separate without any sin between them."
[Machine] "A silk garment was presented to the Prophet ﷺ, and we would touch it and marvel at it and say, 'We have never seen a better garment than this, so soft.' The Prophet ﷺ then asked, 'Do you like this?' We said, 'Yes.' He replied, 'The handkerchiefs of Sa'd ibn Mu'adh in Paradise are even better and softer than this.'"
[Machine] Abu Abdur-Rahman wrote to me Qutaybah, and Athar ibn Al-Qasim narrated to us that Buraad, the brother of Yazid ibn Abi Ziyad, narrated from Al-Musayyab ibn Rafee', who said: I heard Al-Baraa' ibn Aazib saying: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Whoever follows a funeral procession until the funeral prayer is offered for it, will have one Qirat of reward, and whoever walks with the funeral procession until burial, and says the prayer once it has been buried, will have two Qirats of reward, and each Qirat is like the size of Uhud."
This tradition has also been narrated on the authority of ‘A’ishah through a different chain. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 99)
I noticed the prayer of Muhammad ﷺ and saw his Qiyam (standing), his bowing, and then going back to the standing posture after bowing, his prostration, his sitting between the two prostrations, and his prostration and sitting between salutation and going away, all these were nearly equal to one another. (Using translation from Muslim 471a)
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said. When you prostrate yourself, place the palms of your hands on the ground and raise your elbows. (Using translation from Muslim 494)
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ appointed fifty archers on the hills. Abdullah bin Jubayr was among them on the day of Uhud. He said, "If you see the enemy and see the birds snatching us, do not leave your positions." When they saw the spoils of war, they said, "The spoils belong to us." Abdullah said, "Did not the Messenger of Allah ﷺ tell us not to leave our positions?" Others said, "Disobedience!" Then the verse was revealed, "And you were disobeying after Allah had shown you that which you love" [3:152]. It means that you disobeyed the Messenger after you saw the spoils of war and the defeat of the enemy.
[Machine] While we were with the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , he noticed a group and asked, "Why have these people gathered?" It was said, "They are digging a grave." Upon hearing this, the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , became alarmed and hurriedly went ahead with his companions until he reached the grave. He sat beside it and I stood in front of him to see what he would do. He wept until the ground became wet with his tears. Then, he turned towards us and said, "O my brothers, why have you prepared yourselves for a day like this?"
[Machine] I saw on Al-Bara' a gold ring, and people were asking him, "Why do you wear a gold ring when the Prophet ﷺ forbade it?" Al-Bara' replied, "While we were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, there was a war booty in front of him, which included camels and sheep. He distributed everything until only this ring remained. He lifted one end of the ring and looked at his companions, then lowered it, then raised it again and looked at them, repeating this action several times. Then he said, 'Oh Bara', I came to him and sat in front of him. He took the ring and reached out his hand towards my finger, and said, 'Wear it, let it be a sign that Allah and His Messenger have clothed you.' Al-Bara' used to say, 'How can you ask me to remove what the Messenger of Allah ﷺ told me to wear, let it be a sign that Allah and His Messenger have clothed you?'"
when the prophet (May peace be upon him) lay down on his bed (at night), he would say: O Allah! In Thy name I die and live. When he awoke, he said: praise be to Allah who has given us life after causing us to die and to whom we shall be resurrected. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 5049)
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to prostrate on the palms of his hands.
[Machine] I accompanied the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in around ten battles, and I never saw him leave two units of prayer (rak'ahs) when the sun is tilting.
Al-Bara' had a she-camel which was accustomed to graze the standing crop belonging to the people. She entered a garden and did damage to it. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was informed about it. So he gave decision that the owners of gardens are responsible for guarding them by day, and the owners of the animals are responsible for guarding them by night. Any damage done by animals during the night is a responsibility lying on their owners. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 3570)
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was asked about al-Kalalah, and he replied, "The sign of summer suffices you."
[Machine] I wander with lost camels that belonged to me during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. I roam in the valleys, and when I am with a group of riders and knights, they surround my courtyard. They fetched a man, but they did not ask him anything or speak to him until they beheaded him. When they left, I asked about him and they said that he married his father's wife.
[Machine] "They came to a dome and took out a man from it and killed him. I said, 'What is this?' They said, 'This is a man who entered upon his neighbor's wife, so the Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent for him and they killed him.'"
[Machine] I met my uncle with a flag, so I asked him, "Where are you going?" He said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent us to a man from the Banu Tamim tribe who married his father's wife after him. So he commanded us to kill him and take his wealth." He said, "He did as commanded." Abu Abdur-Rahman said, "My father did not narrate anything from Abu Maryam Abdul-Ghaffar except for this hadith due to its importance."
"It was the custom among the Companions of Muhammad ﷺ, that if any of them was fasting and the food was presented but he had slept before eating, he would not eat that night, nor the following day until the evening. Qais bin Sirmah Al-Ansari fasted and came to his wife at the time of Iftar, and said to her: 'No, but I will go and bring something for you.' He worked during the day, so his eyes (sleep) overcame him. Then his wife came, and when she saw him she said: 'You shall be disappointed.' About the middle of the next day he fainted. That was mentioned to the Prophet ﷺ, so this Ayah was revealed: 'It is made lawful for you to have sexual relations with your women on the night of the fasts. So they were very happy about that. 'And eat and drink until the white thread (light) of dawn appears distinct to you from the black thread (of night). (2:187)'" (Using translation from Tirmidhī 2968)
[Machine] One of them used to mention a saying from the traditions of the Children of Israel whenever he slept, except that he said it was revealed about Abu Qays ibn Amr.
[Machine] I heard Al-Bara' saying, "I have never seen anyone among the creation of Allah who is better-looking in a red garment than the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Indeed, his cheeks are like roses." Ibn Abi Bukayr said, "They are even closer to his shoulders." I have heard him narrating this many times, and he would never narrate it without laughing.
[Machine] We accompanied the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , to a funeral. The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , sat on the grave and we gathered around him as if birds were perched on top of our heads. He then recited "I seek refuge with Allah from the punishment of the grave" three times. He continued, "Verily, when a believer is in the state of approaching the Hereafter and leaving this worldly life, the angels descend upon them with their faces shining like the sun. Each angel has a shroud and burial cloth in their hands, and they sit around the person as far as the eye can see. When the soul leaves the body, every angel between the heavens and the earth and every angel in the heavens pray for him. The doors of the heavens are opened, and every gatekeeper calls upon Allah to elevate the soul through their gate. When the soul is elevated, they say, 'Oh Lord, this is so-and-so, Your servant.' Allah replies, 'Return him for I have promised him that I have created them from it (the earth), and unto it they shall return, and from it I shall resurrect them once again.' Then, he hears the footsteps of his companions as they depart from him. An angel comes and asks, 'Who is your Lord? What is your religion? Who is your prophet?' He replies, 'My Lord is Allah, my religion is Islam, and my prophet is Muhammad, ﷺ .' The angel then says, 'You have spoken the truth.' Then, a beautiful-faced angel with a pleasant fragrance and splendid clothing comes to him and says, 'Rejoice in a great honor from Allah and an everlasting bliss.' The angel asks him, 'Who are you?' He replies, 'I am your righteous deeds. By Allah, you were hasty in obeying Allah and slow in disobeying Him, so may Allah reward you with good.' Then, a door from Paradise and a door from Hell are opened for him. It is said to him, 'This is your place if you had disobeyed Allah, but Allah has replaced it with this (Paradise).' When he sees what is in Paradise, he says, 'My Lord, establish the Hour so that I may return to my family and possessions.' He is told to rest. As for a disbeliever, when they are in the state of approaching the Hereafter and leaving this worldly life, harsh and severe angels descend upon them and snatch their soul in the same way a wet woolen garment is snatched away. Their soul is pulled out along with their veins, and every angel between the heavens and the earth and every angel in the heavens curse them. The doors of the heavens are closed, and every gatekeeper calls upon Allah not to allow their soul to ascend through their gate. When the soul is elevated, they ask, 'Who is your Lord? What is your religion? Who is your prophet?' The person replies, 'I do not know.' The angel then says, 'You did not know, nor did you recite.' An ugly-faced angel with a foul smell and filthy clothing comes to them and says, 'Rejoice in humiliation from Allah and a perpetual punishment.' The angel asks, 'Who are you?' The person replies, 'I am your evil deeds. By Allah, you were slow in obeying Allah and hasty in disobeying Him, so may Allah reward you with evil.' Then, their eyes, ears, and mouth are sealed shut, and they are given a club made of iron. If a mountain were to be struck with it, it would turn to dust. The person is then hit with this club until they become like dust. Then, Allah restores them to their original state and the person is hit again, which results in a scream that is heard by all beings except for the two heavyweights (the heavens and earth). This is narrated by Al-Bara' bin 'Azib. Then, a door of Hell is opened for them, and bedding is made from the flames of Hell.

[Machine] "About Al-Bara' ibn 'Azib, something similar to him."
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said: "Indeed, Allah and His angels send blessings upon the rows of worshippers. Beautify the Quran with your voices. And whoever gives a container of milk or a container of water or guides a lost person, then it is like freeing a slave."
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "When a man lies on his bed, he should lie down on his right side, then say, 'O Allah, I submit my soul to You, and I entrust my affairs to You, and I seek refuge in You from behind me, and I turn to You with my face in awe and desire for You. There is no refuge or salvation from You except with You. I believe in Your book which You have revealed and in Your Prophet whom You have sent.' By doing so, he will build a house for himself in Paradise or be granted a house in Paradise."
