[Machine] We went out with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in the year of Khaybar until we reached As-Sahba. He prayed Asr (afternoon prayer) and called for food, but only Sawiq (a type of food made from toasted flour) was presented to him. So they ate and drank from it. Then he got up for Maghrib (evening prayer) and rinsed his mouth, and we also rinsed our mouths with him without touching water.

[Machine] "To a man from the people, O Fulan, how did you hear the Messenger of Allah ﷺ describe Islam?" He said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, 'Verily, Islam started as a shoot, then it became a sapling, then it grew into a young tree, then it became a fully grown tree, then it started to decline.'" Umar ibn al-Khattab said, "So what comes after decline, except loss?"

"I heard the Messenger of Allah say: 'The hand is not to be cut off for (stealing) produce or the spadix of palm trees."' (Using translation from Nasāʾī 4960)
[Machine] I passed by a mosque in the city and the prayer was being held. Then, an old man raised his voice, and said, "Don't you know that my father informed me that the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , used to delay this prayer?" I asked, "Who is this old man?" They said, "This is Abdullah bin Rafi bin Khadijah."
Messenger of Allah, we are going to encounter the enemy tomorrow, but we have no knives with us. Thereupon Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Make haste or be careful (in making arrangements for procuring knives) which would let the blood flow (and along with it) the name of Allah is also to be recited. Then eat, but not the tooth or nail. And I am going to tell you why it is not permissible to slaughter the animal with the help of tooth and bone; and as for the nail. it is a bone, and the bone is the knife of Abyssinians. He (the narrator) said: There fell to our lot as spoils of war camels and goats, and one of the camels among them became wild. A person (amongst usl struck It with an arrow which brought it under control. whereupon Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: This camel became wild like wild animals, so if you find any animal getting wild, you do the same with that (Using translation from Muslim 1968a)
[Machine] Rafi' ibn Khadeej narrated to them that they went out with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on a journey. When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ stopped for lunch, he said that every man should tie the reins of his camel, then we sent them to graze in the tree area. Then we sat with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He said, "Our provision is on our shoulders." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ raised his head and saw bags with red threads. He said, "Don't you see that these bags have become a burden for you?" So, we quickly followed the words of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ until some of our camels scattered, and then we took the bags and removed the threads from them.

"Rafi' bin Khadij said: 'The Messenger of Allah has forbidden something for you that used to be beneficial for us, but obedience to the Messenger of Allah is more beneficial for us. He said: "Whoever has land let him cultivate it, and if he is unable to do so, let him give it to his brother to cultivate."'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 3866)

[Machine] "People used to rent farms during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and they would water them with irrigation canals and a little bit of straw. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ disliked the practice of renting farms in this manner and prohibited it. Rafi' said: There is no harm in renting them for dirhams and dinars."

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited from dividing land into thirds and quarters. When Ibrahim heard this, he disliked dividing land into thirds and quarters and did not see any harm in acquiring white land with money.

[Machine] He said, "O Messenger of Allah, we will meet the enemy tomorrow and we do not have a spear." He said, "What is forbidding from drinking its blood and mentioning the name of Allah over it? So eat, for its teeth and nails are not it. And I will tell you about its teeth, they are bones, and about its nails, they are like the hooves of a horse." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ acquired spoils, and a camel from it was taken away, so they pursued it but could not catch it. Then a man from the people shot an arrow at it and hit it, so he restrained it. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Indeed, for these camels or sheep there are offspring like the offspring of wild animals. So when something defeats you from it, do this." He said, "The Prophet ﷺ used to allocate ten from the spoils to the she-camel." Shu'bah said, "And my most knowledgeable opinion is that I have heard this wording from Sa'id and he used to allocate ten from the spoils to the she-camel. And Sufyan narrated from him, and Muhammad and I have heard this wording from Sufyan."

No more than ten lashes are to be given, except in the case of one of the punishment prescribed by Allah, the Exalted. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4491)
[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "No one is to be whipped more than ten lashes except in the case of a punishment prescribed by Allah's boundaries." Layth informed us in Baghdad, quoting Yazid ibn Abi Habib, who heard it from Bukair who heard it from Sulaiman. When we were in Egypt, Bukair ibn Abdullah ibn al-Ashajj informed him.

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ was asked about the best form of earnings, to which he replied, "A well-earned sale and a person's work with their own hands."
[Machine] Zaid bin Hassan and I approached Ibn Rummana, the servant of Abdul Aziz bin Marwan. We extended our hands to him and he leaned on them inside the mosque, the mosque of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , with Ibn Niyar, a man from the companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . He sent for Abu Bakr, who came to him and said, "I saw Ibn Rummana between the two of you, relying on you and Zaid bin Hassan. I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, 'The world will not end until there is a Luka' bin Luka'.'"

“When Allah assembles the first and the last on the Day of Resurrection, a day concerning which there is no doubt, a caller will cry out: ‘Whoever used to associate anyone else in an action that he did for Allah, let him seek his reward from someone other than Allah, for Allah is so self-sufficient that He has no need of any associate.’” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 4203)

[Machine] He said that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ called out one night while I was next to him: "O Suhail ibn Bayda’a, raise your voice." He repeated this several times until those behind and in front of us could hear. They gathered and realized that he wanted to speak about something. He said: "Whoever says 'There is no god but Allah' will be obliged by Allah to enter Paradise and be protected from the Fire."

6.151 [Machine] Salama bin Salama bin Waqsh, from the Prophet ﷺ
[Machine] We had a Jewish neighbor among the Bani Abdi Al-Ashhal tribe. One day, before the Prophet's ﷺ mission began, he came out of his house and stood on the gathering of Bani Abdi Al-Ashhal. Salama said, "I, on that day, was the youngest of those present and was lying on a bedspread underneath my family's porch. He mentioned the Day of Resurrection, the reckoning, the scales, Paradise, and Hell. He said all this to people who were polytheists and worshipped idols, and who did not believe in the occurrence of Resurrection after death. They said to him, 'Oh Fulan (his name), do you think this will happen?' They said, 'People will be resurrected after their death and will be judged in a place where there will be Paradise and Hell, and they will be rewarded according to their deeds.' He replied, 'Indeed, I swear by the One I am supplicating to, that if he has the largest share of that Fire among them, he will be protected from it and will be admitted instead. Then, it will be applied against him and he will be saved from that Fire tomorrow.' They said to him, 'What is the sign of that?' He said, 'A Prophet will come who will be sent from around these lands,' and he pointed with his hand towards Makkah and Yemen. They asked, 'When will you see him?' He said, 'If this boy reaches the end of his life, he will meet him.' Salama said, 'By Allah, night and day did not pass until Allah, the Most High, sent His Messenger ﷺ while he was living among us. We believed in him while he fought against him out of transgression and envy. We said, 'Woe to you, oh so-and-so, are you not the one who told us what you said about him?' He replied, 'Yes, but I do not believe in him.'

[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "Whoever sells a piece of land, it is forbidden for blessings to be upon him unless he makes it equal or better than it."
6.153 [Machine] The friend of the Prophet ﷺ
[Machine] That a boy among them died, and his parents were very sad. Hoshab, a companion of the Prophet (PBUH), said to them, "Shall I tell you what I heard from the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) about a similar situation with his son?" He said, "A man from his companions had a son who had been disciplined or raised, and he used to come with his father to the Prophet (PBUH). Then, his son died, and his father was very sad, to the point that he did not come to the Prophet (PBUH) for about six days. So the Prophet (PBUH) said, "I do not see so-and-so, "They said, "O Messenger of Allah, his son died and he is grieving." So the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said to him, "O so-and-so, do you like if your son were with you now, he would be as energetic as the most active boys? Do you like that your son would be with you as a youth, like the best of adults? Or shall it be said to you, 'Enter Paradise as a reward for what has been taken from you'?"

6.154 [Machine] Jundub ibn Maktith, from the Prophet ﷺ
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent Ghālib ibn ‘Abdullah al-Kalbi with Kalb, the Lion, to the tribe of Banī Mulawwah in al-Kudayd. He commanded him to change their position, so we went with him until we reached Qudayd. There, we met al-Harith ibn Mālik, who was from the tribe of Lays, so we captured him. He said, "I have only come to embrace Islam." Ghālib ibn ‘Abdullah said, "If you have come as a Muslim, then no harm will come to you for one day and one night. However, if you have come for something else, we will take precautions with you." He said, "I give you my word and security." So Ghālib ibn ‘Abdullah gave him a bond of safety, and then he left someone dark-skinned with him, who was with us. He said to him, "Stay with him until we pass by you. If he confronts you, grab his head." He said, "Then we continued until we reached the belly of al-Kudayd. We camped there after ‘Asr prayer. My companions sent me to a hilltop to observe the enemy. I lay on top of it until it was Maghrib time. A man among them came out and looked. He saw me lying on the hilltop and said to his wife, 'By Allah, I see someone lying on this hilltop. I did not see him in the morning. Be careful, lest the dogs have eaten some of our provisions.' She looked and said, 'No, by Allah, I have not lost anything.' He said, 'Then give me my bow and two arrows from my quiver.' She gave them to him, and he shot me with an arrow, which I placed by my side. I took it and did not move. Then he shot me with another arrow, which I placed on top of my right shoulder. I took it and did not move. He said to his wife, 'By Allah, these arrows have touched me. If they were enchanted, they would have moved. When it is morning, seek for my arrows and take them. However, do not bite them, for the dogs might be affected by them.' We waited there until their scent had dissipated, and they settled down or went to sleep. In the darkness of the night, we launched a surprise attack on them and killed those we killed from among them, and we took their flocks. We headed off swiftly until we passed by al-Harith ibn al-Barssā’, his friend. We took him with us. The people shouted aloud to their people in a state of shock, and we advanced swiftly. When there was nothing left between us and them except the belly of the valley, a flood came down between us and them, which Allah sent wherever He pleased. We had never seen anything like it before, neither rain nor hail. It came with something that no one can withstand. We saw them standing, looking at us, but none of them could advance, while we crossed it swiftly until it settled. Then we attacked them from a hidden position until we defeated them with what we had in our hands.
