[Machine] A boy stole some young palm trees belonging to Nu'man al-Ansari, and they were taken to Marwan. He wanted to cut them, but Rafa' bin Khadeejah said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said that the fruit and dense tree foliage should not be cut." I asked Yahya, "What does dense foliage mean?" He said, "It means the branches."  

أحمد:١٥٨١٤حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ حَبَّانَ قَالَ

سَرَقَ غُلَامٌ لِنُعْمَانَ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ نَخْلًا صِغَارًا فَرُفِعَ إِلَى مَرْوَانَ فَأَرَادَ أَنْ يَقْطَعَهُ فَقَالَ رَافِعُ بْنُ خَدِيجٍ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا يُقْطَعُ فِي الثَّمَرِ وَلَا فِي الْكَثَرِ قَالَ قُلْتُ لِيَحْيَى مَا الْكَثَرُ؟ قَالَ الْجُمَّارُ
