A man from the Jews said, 'But he will have the need to eat and drink?' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him, 'The need of one of them will be sweat that overflows from his skin, so when his stomach is full, it will become absorbed.'"

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ recited thus. (Using translation from Muslim 957)

[Machine] I remember when we camped with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in a valley called Wadi Khumm. He commanded us to perform the prayer, so we prayed with him using a sand mound as a place of prostration. Then he delivered a sermon to us while being shaded by a garment on a samurah tree from the sun. He asked us, "Do you not know, and do you not bear witness, that I am closer to every believer than his own self?" We replied, "Yes, indeed." He said, "Whoever I am his master, then Ali is his master. O Allah, be a friend to those who befriend him and an enemy to those who oppose him."

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Am I not more worthy of the believers than themselves?" They said, "Indeed, you are." He said, "Whoever I am his Mawla (master), then 'Ali is his Mawla." Ma'mun narrated that some people reported to him from Zaid that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "O Allah, be a supporter to the one who supports him (Ali) and be an enemy to the one who opposes him."
[Machine] Ali was in Yemen, and a woman was brought to him who had been with three different men in one state of ritual purity. He asked two men, "Do you both bear witness to this child being his (result)?" They did not bear witness. He then asked two other men, "Do you both bear witness to this child being his (result)?" They did not bear witness. He continued to ask pairs of men until he exhausted asking twos about ones (child). They did not bear witness. This matter was brought to the Prophet ﷺ , who laughed until his canine teeth were visible.

“I was with my uncle when I heard Abdullah bin Ubayy bin Salul saying to his companions: Do not spend on those who are with the Messenger of Allah until they desert from him. If we return to Al-Madinah then the more honorable will expel the meaner among them. So I mentioned that to my uncle, then my uncle mentioned it to the Prophet. So the Prophet called for me to narrated it to him. Then the Messenger of Allah sent message to Abdullah bin Ubayy and his companions but they took an oath that they had not said it. So he did not believe me and he trusted what they said. I was struck with distress the likes of which I had not suffered before. So I just at in my house, and my uncle said to me: ‘You only wanted the Messenger of Allah to not believe you and hate you.’ Then Allah [Most High] revealed: ‘When the hypocrites come to you’ So the Messenger of Allah sent for me, and he recites it and said: ‘Indeed Allah has verified the truth of what you said.’” (Using translation from Tirmidhī 3312)
[Machine] "We accompanied the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on a journey, and the people faced hardship. Abdullah ibn Ubayy said to his companions, 'Do not spend on those who are with the Messenger of Allah until they disperse from him.' He also said, 'If we return to Medina, the honorable will expel the lowly from it.' So I went to the Prophet ﷺ and informed him about this. He sent for Abdullah ibn Ubayy and questioned him, and Abdullah ibn Ubayy did his best to swear that he did not say such things. They accused Zaid, the Messenger of Allah, of lying. This troubled me to the extent that Allah revealed in confirmation of my statement, 'When the hypocrites come to you...' (Surah Al-Munafiqoon, verse 1). The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then called them and sought forgiveness for them. They hung their heads low, and Allah, the Exalted, says, 'As though they were pieces of timber propped up' (Surah Al-Munafiqoon, verse 4). He said, 'They were the most handsome of men.'"

He then supplicated for them, asking Allah to make their followers from among them. I then conveyed this to Ibn Abi Layla, and he said, "Zaid claimed that, meaning the son of Arqam."
