"I was with Ibrahm An-Nakha'i and Ibrahim At-taimi, and I said: 'I wanted to combine Hajj and 'Umrah this year,' but Ibrahim said: 'If you father were alive, he would not do that.' And Ibrahim At-Taimi said, (narrating) from his father, that Abu Dharr said: 'Tamattu' was only for us". (Sahib) (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2812)
The people (of the Pre-Islamic Period) used to think that to perform ʿUmra during the months of Hajj was one of the major sins on earth. And also used to consider the month of Safar as a forbidden (i.e. sacred) month and they used to say, "When the wounds of the camel's back heal up (after they return from Hajj) and the signs of those wounds vanish and the month of Safar passes away then (at that time) ʿUmra is permissible for the one who wishes to perform it." In the morning of the 4th of Dhul- Hijja, the Prophet ﷺ and his companions reached Mecca, assuming Ihram for Hajj and he ordered his companions to make their intentions of the Ihram for ʿUmra only (instead of Hajj) so they considered his order as something great and were puzzled, and said, "O Messenger of Allah ﷺ! What kind (of finishing) of Ihram is allowed?" The Prophet ﷺ replied, "Finish the Ihram completely like a non-Muhrim (you are allowed everything)." (Using translation from Bukhārī 1564)
"The Messenger of Allah enter Ihram for 'Umrah and his companions enter Ihrahm for Hajj. He told those who did not have a Hadi with them to exit Ihram. Among those who did not have a Hadi with them was Tallah bin 'Ubaidullah and another man, so they exited Ihram." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2814)
This is 'Umrah that we have benefited from. Whoever does not have a Hadi with him, let him exit Ihram completely. Now 'Umrah is permissible during the months of Hajj." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2815)

Abu Qatadah said that he accompanied the Apostle of Allaah ﷺ and he stayed behind on the way to Makkah with some of his companions who were wearing ihram, although he was not. When he saw a wild ass he mounted his horse and asked them to hand him his whip, but they refused. He then asked them to hand him his lance. When they refused, he took it, chased the while ass and killed it. Some of the Companions of the Apostle of Allaah ﷺ ate it and some refused (to eat). When they met the Apostle of Allaah ﷺ they asked him about it. He said that was the food that Allaah provided you for eating. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1852)

“We were with Talhah bin ‘Ubaidullah ؓ and we were in ihram. We were given a bird as a gift whilst Talhah was sleeping. Some of us ate and some of us refrained and did not eat. When Talhah woke up, he approved of those who had eaten it and said: “We ate it with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.” (Using translation from Aḥmad 1383)

the Messenger of Allah set out for Makkah and was in Ihram. When they were in Ar-Rawha, they saw a wounded onager. Mention of that was made to the messenger of Allah and he said: "Leave it, for soon its owner will come." Then Al-Bahzi, who was its owner, came to the Messenger of Allah, it is up to you what you want to do with this onager." The Messenger of Allah Commanded Abu Bakr to share it out among the company then he moved on, and when he was in Al-Uthayah, between Ar-Ruwaythah and Al-Arj, They was a gazelle sleeping in the Shade with an arrow in it. It was said that the Messenger of Allah told a man to stand by it and not let anyone disturb it until everyone had passed by." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2818)

From As-Sa'b bin Jath-thama Al-Laithi that the latter presented an onager to Messenger of Allah ﷺ while he was at Al-Abwa' or at Waddan, and he refused it. On noticing the signs of some unpleasant feeling of disappointment on his (As-Sab's) face, the Prophet ﷺ said to him, "I have only returned it because I am Muhrim." (Using translation from Bukhārī 1825)
