٨۔ كِتَابُ المناسك ص ٢
"O Messenger of Allah, what clothes should we wear when we enter Ihram?" He said: "Do not wear a shirt (or shirts), or 'Imamahs, or pants, or Khuffs unless someone Cannot find sandals, in which case he should cut them (the Khuffs) so that they come beneath the ankles or any garment that has been touched by (dyed with ) wars or saffron. (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2670)
يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ مَا نَلْبَسُ مِنَ الثِّيَابِ إِذَا أَحْرَمْنَا؟ قَالَ «لَا تَلْبَسُوا الْقُمُصَ» وَقَالَ عَمْرٌو مَرَّةً أُخْرَى «الْقَمِيصَ وَلَا الْعَمَائِمَ وَلَا السَّرَاوِيلَاتِ وَلَا الْخُفَّيْنِ إِلَّا أَنْ لَا يَكُونَ لِأَحَدِكُمْ نَعْلَانِ فَلْيَقْطَعْهُمَا أَسْفَلَ مِنَ الْكَعْبَيْنِ وَلَا ثَوْبًا مَسَّهُ وَرْسٌ وَلَا زَعْفَرَانٌ»
8.33 [Machine] The license for wearing trousers during the ihram for those who cannot find a loincloth.
٨۔٣٣ الرُّخْصَةُ فِي لُبْسِ السَّرَاوِيلِ فِي الْإِحْرَامِ لِمَنْ لَا يَجِدُ الْإِزَارَ
'Pants (are allowed) for one who cannot find an Izar, and Khuffs for one who cannot find sandals to wear in Ihram.;; (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2671)
سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَخْطُبُ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ «السَّرَاوِيلُ لِمَنْ لَا يَجِدُ الْإِزَارَ وَالْخُفَّانِ لِمَنْ لَمْ يَجِدِ النَّعْلَيْنِ لِلْمُحْرِمِ»
'Whoever cannot find an Izar, let him wear pants, and whoever cannot find sandals, let him wear khuffs." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2672)
سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَنْ لَمْ يَجِدْ إِزَارًا فَلْيَلْبَسْ سَرَاوِيلَ وَمَنْ لَمْ يَجِدْ نَعْلَيْنِ فَلْيَلْبَسْ خُفَّيْنِ»
8.34 [Machine] The prohibition of a woman wearing the Haram veil.
٨۔٣٤ النَّهْيُ عَنْ أَنْ تَنْتَقِبَ الْمَرْأَةُ الْحَرَامُ
A person stood up and asked, "O Allah's: Apostle! What clothes may be worn in the state of Ihram?" The Prophet ﷺ replied, "Do not wear a shirt or trousers, or any headgear (e.g. a turban), or a hooded cloak; but if somebody has no shoes he can wear leather stockings provided they are cut short off the ankles, and also, do not wear anything perfumed with Wars or saffron, and the Muhrima (a woman in the state of Ihram) should not cover her face, or wear gloves." يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ مَاذَا تَأْمُرُنَا أَنْ نَلْبَسَ مِنَ الثِّيَابِ فِي الْإِحْرَامِ؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَا تَلْبَسُوا الْقُمُصَ وَلَا السَّرَاوِيلَاتِ وَلَا الْعَمَائِمَ وَلَا الْبَرَانِسَ وَلَا الْخِفَافَ إِلَّا أَنْ يَكُونَ أَحَدٌ لَيْسَتْ لَهُ نَعْلَانِ فَلْيَلْبَسِ الْخُفَّيْنِ مَا أَسْفَلَ مِنَ الْكَعْبَيْنِ وَلَا تَلْبَسُوا شَيْئًا مِنَ الثِّيَابِ مَسَّهُ الزَّعْفَرَانُ وَلَا الْوَرْسُ وَلَا تَنْتَقِبِ الْمَرْأَةُ الْحَرَامُ وَلَا تَلْبَسِ الْقُفَّازَيْنِ»
8.35 [Machine] Prohibition of wearing clothes made of Branes in Ihram.
٨۔٣٥ النَّهْيُ عَنْ لُبْسِ الْبَرَانِسِ فِي الْإِحْرَامِ
A man said, "O Messenger of Allah ﷺ. What type of clothes should a Muhrim wear Messenger of Allah ﷺ replied, 'Do not wear shirts, turbans trousers hooded cloaks or Khuffs (socks made from thick fabric or leather); but if someone cannot get sandals, then he can wear Khuffs after cutting them short below the ankles. Do not wear clothes touched by saffon or wars (two kinds of perfumes). (Using translation from Bukhārī 5803)
أَنَّ رَجُلًا سَأَلَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ مَا يَلْبَسُ الْمُحْرِمُ مِنَ الثِّيَابِ؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَا تَلْبَسُوا الْقَمِيصَ وَلَا الْعَمَائِمَ وَلَا السَّرَاوِيلَاتِ وَلَا الْبَرَانِسَ وَلَا الْخِفَافَ إِلَّا أَحَدٌ لَا يَجِدُ نَعْلَيْنِ فَلْيَلْبَسْ خُفَّيْنِ وَلْيَقْطَعْهُمَا أَسْفَلَ مِنَ الْكَعْبَيْنِ وَلَا تَلْبَسُوا شَيْئًا مَسَّهُ الزَّعْفَرَانُ وَلَا الْوَرْسُ»
[Machine] A man asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , "What clothing should we wear when we enter the state of ihram?" He said, "Do not wear shirts, trousers, turbans, brocade garments, or leather socks, unless someone does not have regular footwear, then they may wear the khuffain (leather socks) below the ankles. And do not wear any garment that has been touched by musk or saffron." Abu Abdur-Rahman Umar bin Nafi', Abu Bakr bin Nafi', and Abdullah bin Nafi' were three brothers, and Abdullah bin Nafi' is not reliable. Nafi' was the freed slave of Abdullah bin Umar and he is trustworthy and a memorizer.
أَنَّ رَجُلًا سَأَلَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ مَا نَلْبَسُ مِنَ الثِّيَابِ إِذَا أَحْرَمْنَا؟ قَالَ «لَا تَلْبَسُوا الْقَمِيصَ وَلَا السَّرَاوِيلَاتِ وَلَا الْعَمَائِمَ وَلَا الْبَرَانِسَ وَلَا الْخِفَافَ إِلَّا أَنْ يَكُونَ أَحَدٌ لَيْسَتْ لَهُ نَعْلَانِ فَلْيَلْبَسِ الْخُفَّيْنِ أَسْفَلَ مِنَ الْكَعْبَيْنِ وَلَا تَلْبَسُوا مِنَ الثِّيَابِ شَيْئًا مَسَّهُ وَرْسٌ وَلَا زَعْفَرَانٌ» قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عُمَرُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ وَأَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ نَافِعٍ وَعَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ نَافِعٍ إِخْوَةٌ ثَلَاثَةٌ وَعَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ نَافِعٍ لَيْسَ بِثِقَةٍ وَنَافِعٌ مَوْلَى عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ثِقَةٌ حَافِظٌ
8.36 [Machine] The prohibition of wearing the turban during the pilgrimage.
٨۔٣٦ النَّهْيُ عَنْ لُبْسِ الْعِمَامَةِ فِي الْإِحْرَامِ
'What should we wear when we enter Ihram?' He said: 'Do not wear a shirt, or an 'Imamah, or pants, or a burnouts, or Khuffs unless you cannot find any sandals. If you cannot find any sandals, then wear something that comes beneath the ankles. (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2676)
نَادَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ مَا نَلْبَسُ إِذَا أَحْرَمْنَا؟ فَقَالَ «لَا تَلْبَسِ الْقَمِيصَ وَلَا الْعِمَامَةَ وَلَا السَّرَاوِيلَ وَلَا الْبُرْنُسَ وَلَا الْخُفَّيْنِ إِلَّا أَنْ لَا تَجِدَ نَعْلَيْنِ فَإِنْ لَمْ تَجِدِ النَّعْلَيْنِ فَمَا دُونَ الْكَعْبَيْنِ»
"A man came to the Prophet and said: 'What should we wear when we enter Ihram?' He said: 'Do not wear shirts, or 'Imamahs, or burnouses, or pants, or Khuffs unless there are no sandals; if there are no sandals, then wear Khuffs that come beneath the ankles. And (do not wear) any garment that has been dyed with Wars or saffron, or has been touched by Wars or saffron. (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2677)
نَادَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ مَا نَلْبَسُ إِذَا أَحْرَمْنَا؟ قَالَ لَا تَلْبَسُوا الْقُمُصَ وَلَا السَّرَاوِيلَاتِ وَلَا الْخِفَافَ إِلَّا أَنْ لَا يَكُونَ نِعَالًا فَإِنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ نِعَالٌ فَخُفَّيْنِ دُونَ الْكَعْبَيْنِ وَلَا ثَوْبًا مَصْبُوغًا بِوَرْسٍ أَوْ زَعْفَرَانٍ أَوْ مَسَّهُ وَرْسٌ أَوْ زَعْفَرَانٌ
8.37 [Machine] Prohibition on wearing socks in Ihram
٨۔٣٧ النَّهْيُ عَنْ لُبْسِ الْخُفَّيْنِ فِي الْإِحْرَامِ
"I heard the Prophet say; 'do not wear shirts, or pants, or 'Imamahs, or burnouses, or Khuffs while in Ihram.'''(sahih) (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2678)
سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «لَا تَلْبَسُوا فِي الْإِحْرَامِ الْقُمُصَ وَلَا السَّرَاوِيلَاتِ وَلَا الْعَمَائِمَ وَلَا الْبَرَانِسَ وَلَا الْخِفَافَ»
8.38 [Machine] The license to wear flip-flops during ihram for those who cannot find sandals.
٨۔٣٨ الرُّخْصَةُ فِي لُبْسِ الْخُفَّيْنِ فِي الْإِحْرَامِ لِمَنْ لَمْ يَجِدْ نَعْلَيْنِ
He who does not find shoes to wear may wear socks, and he who does not find lower garment to wear may put on trousers. (Using translation from Muslim 1179)
سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «إِذَا لَمْ يَجِدْ إِزَارًا فَلْيَلْبَسِ السَّرَاوِيلَ وَإِذَا لَمْ يَجِدِ النَّعْلَيْنِ فَلْيَلْبَسِ الْخُفَّيْنِ»
8.39 [Machine] Their pieces underneath the heels.
٨۔٣٩ قَطْعُهُمَا أَسْفَلَ مِنَ الْكَعْبَيْنِ
That the Prophet said "If a Muhrim cannot find sandals then let him wear Khuffs, and cut them, so that they come lower than the ankles.'' (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2680)
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «إِذَا لَمْ يَجِدِ الْمُحْرِمُ النَّعْلَيْنِ فَلْيَلْبَسِ الْخُفَّيْنِ وَلْيَقْطَعْهُمَا أَسْفَلَ مِنَ الْكَعْبَيْنِ»
8.40 [Machine] The prohibition of a woman wearing gloves.
٨۔٤٠ النَّهْيُ أَنْ تَلْبَسَ الْمُحْرِمَةُ الْقُفَّازَيْنِ
"O Messenger of Allah! What garments do you command us to wear in Ihram?" The Messenger of Allah said; "Do not wear shirts, or pants, or Khuffs unless a man does not have any sandals, in which case he may wear Khuffs that come lower than the ankles. And do not wear any garment that has been touched by (dyed with) saffron or Wars. And a woman in Ihram should not cover her face or wear gloves." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2681)
يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ مَاذَا تَأْمُرُنَا أَنْ نَلْبَسَ مِنَ الثِّيَابِ فِي الْإِحْرَامِ؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَا تَلْبَسُوا الْقُمُصَ وَلَا السَّرَاوِيلَاتِ وَلَا الْخِفَافَ إِلَّا أَنْ يَكُونَ رَجُلًا لَيْسَ لَهُ نَعْلَانِ فَلْيَلْبَسِ الْخُفَّيْنِ أَسْفَلَ مِنَ الْكَعْبَيْنِ وَلَا يَلْبَسْ شَيْئًا مِنَ الثِّيَابِ مَسَّهُ الزَّعْفَرَانُ وَالْوَرْسُ وَلَا تَنْتَقِبُ الْمَرْأَةُ الْحَرَامُ وَلَا تَلْبَسُ الْقُفَّازَيْنِ»
8.41 [Machine] Talbidu 'inda al-ihrām
٨۔٤١ التَّلْبِيدُ عِنْدَ الْإِحْرَامِ
[Machine] "I have shaved my head and put on my Ihram (pilgrim's garb); therefore, I am not permissible (to engage in certain activities) until I am permissible (after completing the Hajj pilgrimage)."
«إِنِّي لَبَّدْتُ رَأْسِي وَقَلَّدْتُ هَدْيِي فَلَا أُحِلُّ حَتَّى أُحِلَّ مِنْ الْحَجِّ»
"I saw the Messenger of Allah entering Ihram with his hair matted. (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2683)
رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ «يُهِلُّ مُلَبِّدًا»
8.42 [Machine] The permission of using perfume during Ihram.
٨۔٤٢ إِبَاحَةُ الطِّيبِ عِنْدَ الْإِحْرَامِ
"I put perfume on the Messenger of Allah when he decided to enter Ihram, and when he exited Ihram, before he exited Ihram, with my own hand. '' (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2684)
عَنْ عَائِشَةَ «طَيَّبْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ عِنْدَ إِحْرَامِهِ حِينَ أَرَادَ أَنْ يُحْرِمَ وَعِنْدَ إِحْلَالِهِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُحِلَّ بِيَدِي»
"I put perfume on the Messenger of Allah for his Ihram when he entered Ihram, and for his exiting Ihram when he had stoned Jamrat Al-Aqabah, before he circumambulated the House.'' (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2685)
«طَيَّبْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ لِإِحْرَامِهِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُحْرِمَ وَلِحِلِّهِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَطُوفَ بِالْبَيْتِ»
"I put perfume on the Messenger of Allah for his Ihram before he entered Ihram, and for his exiting Ihram when he exited Ihram.'' (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2686)
«طَيَّبْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ لِإِحْرَامِهِ حِينَ أَحْرَمَ وَلِحِلِّهِ حِينَ حَلَّ»
"I put perfume on the Messenger of Allah for his Ihram when he entered Ihram, and for his exiting Ihram when he had stoned Jamrat Al-Aqabah, before he circumambulated the House.'' (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2687)
«طَيَّبْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ لِحَرَمِهِ حِينَ أَحْرَمَ وَلِحِلِّهِ بَعْدَمَا رَمَى الْعَقَبَةَ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَطُوفَ بِالْبَيْتِ»
"I put perfume on the Messenger of Allah for his exiting Ihram, and I put perfume on him for his Ihram, perfume which was not like this perfume of yours" she meant that it does not last.(Shah) (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2688)
«طَيَّبْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ لِإِحْلَالِهِ وَطَيَّبْتُهُ لِإِحْرَامِهِ طِيبًا لَا يُشْبِهُ طِيبَكُمْ هَذَا» تَعْنِي لَيْسَ لَهُ بَقَاءٌ
"I said to 'Aishah: 'What kind of perfume did you put on the Messenger of Allah?' she said: 'The best kind of perfume, when he entered Ihram and when he exited Ihram. (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2689)
قُلْتُ لِعَائِشَةَ بِأَيِّ شَيْءٍ طَيَّبْتِ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ؟ قَالَتْ «بِأَطْيَبِ الطِّيبِ عِنْدَ حَرَمِهِ وَحِلِّهِ»
used to perfume the Prophet ﷺ before his assuming the state of with the best scent available. (Using translation from Bukhārī 5928)
«لَقَدْ كُنْتُ أُطَيِّبُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ عِنْدَ إِحْرَامِهِ بِأَطْيَبِ مَا أَجِدُ»
"I used to put perfume on the Messenger of Allah using the best I could find, when he entered Ihram and when he exited Ihram, and when he wanted to visit the House. (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2691)
«كُنْتُ أُطَيِّبُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ بِأَطْيَبِ مَا أَجِدُ لِحُرْمِهِ وَلِحِلِّهِ وَحِينَ يُرِيدُ أَنْ يَزُورَ الْبَيْتَ»
"'Aishah said: 'I put perfume on the Messenger of Allah ﷺ before he entered Ihram and on the Day of Sacrifice before he circumambulated the House, using perfume containing musk."' (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2692)
عَائِشَةُ «طَيَّبْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُحْرِمَ وَيَوْمَ النَّحْرِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَطُوفَ بِالْبَيْتِ بِطِيبٍ فِيهِ مِسْكٌ»
8.43 [Machine] The Place of Good-
٨۔٤٣ مَوْضِعُ الطِّيبِ
"It is as if I can see the glistening of the perfume on the head of the Messenger of Allah when he is in Ihram." Ahmad bin Nasr (one of the narrators) said in his narration: "The glistening of the perfume of musk in the parting (of the hair) of the Messenger of Allah" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2693)
«كَأَنِّي أَنْظُرُ إِلَى وَبِيصِ الْمِسْكِ فِي رَأْسِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَهُوَ مُحْرِمٌ» وَقَالَ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ وَبِيصُ طِيبِ الْمِسْكِ فِي مَفْرِقِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ
"The glistening of the perfume could be seen in the parting (of the hair) of the Messenger of Allah while he was in Ihram.'' (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2694)
«لَقَدْ كَانَ يُرَى وَبِيصُ الطِّيبِ فِي مَفَارِقِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَهُوَ مُحْرِمٌ»
"It is as if I can see the glistening of the perfume on the head of the Messenger of Allah while he is in Ihram. (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2695)
«كَأَنِّي أَنْظُرُ إِلَى وَبِيصِ الطِّيبِ فِي رَأْسِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَهُوَ مُحْرِمٌ»
" I used to see the glistening of the perfume at the roots of the hair of the Messenger of Allah when he was in Ihram.(sahih) (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2696)
كُنْتُ أَنْظُرُ إِلَى وَبِيصِ الطِّيبِ فِي أُصُولِ شَعْرِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَهُوَ مُحْرِمٌ
It is as if I am just looking at the glitter of scent in the parting of the Prophet's head hair while he was a Muhrim. (Using translation from Bukhārī 271)
«كَأَنِّي أَنْظُرُ إِلَى وَبِيصِ الطِّيبِ فِي مَفْرِقِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَهُوَ مُحْرِمٌ»
"I saw the glistening of the perfume on the head of the Messenger of Allah while he was initiating Ihram. (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2698)
«لَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ وَبِيصَ الطِّيبِ فِي رَأْسِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَهُوَ مُحْرِمٌ»
“It is as if I can see the races of perfume in the parting (of hair) of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, while he is reciting the Talbiyah.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 2927)
«كَأَنِّي أَنْظُرُ إِلَى وَبِيصِ الطِّيبِ فِي مَفَارِقِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَهُوَ يُهِلُّ»
"When the Prophet and (in his narration) Hannad said: "The Messenger of Allah "wanted to enter Ihram, he would daub the best perfume that he could find, until I saw it glistening on his head and in his beard. (sahih) (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2700)
كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يُحْرِمَ ادَّهَنَ بِأَطْيَبِ دُهْنٍ يَجِدُهُ حَتَّى أَرَى وَبِيصَهُ فِي رَأْسِهِ وَلِحْيَتِهِ» تَابَعَهُ إِسْرَائِيلُ عَلَى هَذَا الْكَلَامِ وَقَالَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْأَسْوَدِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ
"I used to put perfume on the Messenger of Allah using the best perfume I could find, until I saw the perfume glistening on his head and in his beard, before he entered Ihram (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2701)
«كُنْتُ أُطَيِّبُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ بِأَطْيَبِ مَا كُنْتُ أَجِدُ مِنَ الطِّيبِ حَتَّى أَرَى وَبِيصَ الطِّيبِ فِي رَأْسِهِ وَلِحْيَتِهِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُحْرِمَ»
'I saw the glistening of the perfume in the parting of the Messenger of Allah after three (days). (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2702)
«لَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ وَبِيصَ الطِّيبِ فِي مَفَارِقِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ بَعْدَ ثَلَاثٍ»
“It is as if I can see the traces of perfume in the parting (of hair) of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ after three days, and he was a Muhrim.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 2928)
«كُنْتُ أَرَى وَبِيصَ الطِّيبِ فِي مَفْرِقِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ بَعْدَ ثَلَاثٍ وَهُوَ مُحْرِمٌ»
on the authority of his father that he had asked ʿAisha (about the Hadith of Ibn ʿUmar). She said, "May Allah be Merciful to Abu ʿAbdur-Rahman. I used to put scent on Messenger of Allah ﷺ and he used to go round his wives, and in the morning he assumed the Ihram, and the fragrance of scent was still coming out from his body." يَرْحَمُ اللهُ أَبَا عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ قَدْ «كُنْتُ أُطَيِّبُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَيَطُوفُ فِي نِسَائِهِ ثُمَّ يُصْبِحُ يَنْضَخُ طِيبًا»
I heard from Ibn 'Umar having said this:" It is dearer to me to rub tar (on my body) than to enter upon the state of Ihram (in a state) of shaking off the perfume." He (the narrator) said: I went to 'A'isha and told her about this statement of his (of Ibn 'Umar). Thereupon she said: I applied perfume to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and he then went round his wives and then entered upon the state of Ihram in the morning. (Using translation from Muslim 1192c)
أَنْ أُصْبِحَ مُحْرِمًا أَنْضَخُ طِيبًا فَدَخَلْتُ عَلَى عَائِشَةَ فَأَخْبَرْتُهَا بِقَوْلِهِ فَقَالَتْ «طَيَّبْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَطَافَ فِي نِسَائِهِ ثُمَّ أَصْبَحَ مُحْرِمًا»
8.44 [Machine] Saffron for the forbidden
٨۔٤٤ الزَّعْفَرَانُ لِلْمُحْرِمِ
The Prophet ﷺ forbade men to use saffron. (Using translation from Bukhārī 5846)
«نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَنْ يَتَزَعْفَرَ الرَّجُلُ»
"The Messenger of Allah forbade perfuming oneself with saffron. (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2707)
«نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنِ التَّزَعْفُرِ»
the Messenger of Allah forbade perfuming oneself with saffron". Hammad said: "Meaning, for men." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2708)
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ «نَهَى عَنِ التَّزَعْفُرِ» قَالَ حَمَّادٌ يَعْنِي لِلرِّجَالِ
8.45 [Machine] In the ethics of the forbidden
٨۔٤٥ فِي الْخَلُوقِ لِلْمُحْرِمِ
a man came to the Prophet who had initiated Ihram for 'Umrah, wearing sewn garments and having put on Khaluq. He said: "I have initiated Ihram for 'Umrah, so what should I do?" The Prophet said: "What would you do if you were doing Hajj?" He said: "I would avoid this and wash it off." He said: "Whatever you would do for Hajj, do it, for 'Umrah," (sahih) (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2709)
أَنَّ رَجُلًا أَتَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ وَقَدْ أَهَلَّ بِعُمْرَةٍ وَعَلَيْهِ مُقَطَّعَاتٌ وَهُوَ مُتَضَمِّخٌ بِخَلُوقٍ فَقَالَ أَهْلَلْتُ بِعُمْرَةٍ فَمَا أَصْنَعُ؟ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «مَا كُنْتَ صَانِعًا فِي حَجَّتِكَ؟» قَالَ كُنْتُ أُلْقِيَ هَذَا وَأَغْسِلُهُ فَقَالَ «مَا كُنْتَ صَانِعًا فِي حَجِّكَ فَاصْنَعْهُ فِي عُمْرَتِكَ»
"A man came to the Messenger of Allah when he was in Al-Jirranah wearing a Jubnah, and having applied Khauq to his beard and head. He said: 'O Messenger of Allah! I have entered Ihram for 'Umrah and I am as you see.' He said: 'Take off the Jubbah and wash off the perfume, and whatever you would do for Hajj, do it for 'Umrah.''' أَتَى رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ رَجُلٌ وَهُوَ بِالْجِعِرَّانَةِ وَعَلَيْهِ جُبَّةٌ وَهُوَ مُصَفِّرٌ لِحْيَتَهَ وَرَأْسَهُ قَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنِّي أَحْرَمْتُ بِعُمْرَةٍ وَأَنَا كَمَا تَرَى قَالَ «انْزِعْ عَنْكَ الْجُبَّةَ وَاغْسِلْ عَنْكَ الصُّفْرَةَ وَمَا كُنْتَ صَانِعًا فِي حَجِّكَ فَاصْنَعْهُ فِي عُمْرَتِكَ»
8.46 [Machine] In the kohl for the pilgrim
٨۔٤٦ فِي الْكُحْلِ لِلْمُحْرِمِ
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said: "In the month of Muharram, if his eyes are sore, let him bandage them with patience."
قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فِي «الْمُحْرِمِ إِذَا اشْتَكَى عَيْنَيْهِ أَنْ يُضَمِّدَهُمَا بِصَبِرٍ»
8.47 [Machine] Disapproval of Dyed Clothing for the Forbidden Circumstances
٨۔٤٧ الْكَرَاهِيَةُ فِي الثِّيَابِ الْمُصَبَّغَةِ لِلْمُحْرِمِ
'We came to Jabir and asked him about the Hajj of the Prophet. He told us that the Messenger of Allah said: "Had I known when I set out what I know now, I would have brought the Jadi (sacrificial animal ) with me and I would not have made it 'Umrah. Whoever does not have a Jadi with him, let him exit Ihram and make it 'Umrah," 'Ali may Allah be ;eased with him, came from Yemen with a Hadi, and the Messenger of Allah brought a Hadi from Al-Madinah, Fatimah had put on a dyed garment and applied kohl to her eyes, and he ('Ali) said: "I went to the Prophet to complain about that and find out whether she could do that, I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, Fatima had put on a dyed garment and applied kohl to her eyes, and she said, the Messenger of Allah told me to do that. 'He said: 'She is telling the truth, she is telling the truth, I told her to do that (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2712)
عَنْ حَجَّةِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَحَدَّثَنَا أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «لَوِ اسْتَقْبَلْتُ مِنْ أَمْرِي مَا اسْتَدْبَرْتُ لَمْ أَسُقِ الْهَدْيَ وَجَعَلْتُهَا عَمْرَةً فَمَنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ مَعَهُ هَدْيٌ فَلْيُحْلِلْ وَلْيَجْعَلْهَا عُمْرَةً» وَقَدِمَ عَلِيٌّ مِنَ الْيَمَنِ بِهَدْيٍ وَسَاقَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مِنَ الْمَدِينَةِ هَدْيًا وَإِذَا فَاطِمَةُ قَدْ حَلَّتْ وَلَبِسَتْ ثِيَابًا صَبِيغًا وَاكْتَحَلَتْ قَالَ عَلِيٌّ فَانْطَلَقْتُ مُحَرِّشًا أَسْتَفْتِي رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّ فَاطِمَةَ لَبِسَتْ ثِيَابًا صَبِيغًا وَاكْتَحَلَتْ وَقَالَتْ أَمَرَنِي بِهِ أَبِي قَالَ «صَدَقَتْ صَدَقَتْ صَدَقَتْ أَنَا أَمَرْتُهَا»

٨۔٤٨ تَخْمِيرُ الْمُحْرِمِ وَجْهَهُ وَرَأْسَهُ
a man fell from his mount and it trampled him. The Messenger of Allah said: "Wash him with water and lotus leaves, and he should be shrouded in two clothes, leaving his head and face bare, for he will be raised on the Day of Resurrection reciting the Talbiyah."(sahih) (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2713)
رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «اغْسِلُوهُ بِمَاءٍ وَسِدْرٍ وَيُكَفَّنُ فِي ثَوْبَيْنِ خَارِجٌ رَأْسُهُ وَوَجْهُهُ فَإِنَّهُ يُبْعَثُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مُلَبِّدًا»

8.49 [Machine] The Individual Hajj
٨۔٤٩ إِفْرَادُ الْحَجِّ
The Messenger of Allah (SWAS) performed Hajj exclusively (without performing ʿUmrah in the beginning). (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1777)
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ «أَفْرَدَ الْحَجَّ»
"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered Ihram for Hajj (only)." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2716)
«أَهَلَّ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بِالْحَجِّ»
"We went out with the Messenger of Allah around the time of the new moon of Dhul-Hijjah, and the Messenger of Allah said: 'Whoever wishes to enter Ihram for Hajj, let him do so , and whoever wishes to enter Ihram for 'Umrah, let him do so'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2717)
خَرَجْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ مُوَافِينَ لِهِلَالِ ذِي الْحِجَّةِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مَنْ شَاءَ أَنْ يُهِلَّ بِحَجٍّ فَلْيُهلِلْ وَمَنْ شَاءَ أَنْ يُهِلَّ بِعُمْرَةٍ فَلْيُهلِلْ بِعُمْرَةٍ»
"We set out with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ thinking that it was for nothing other than Hajj." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2718)
«خَرَجْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ لَا نَرَى إِلَّا أَنَّهُ الْحَجُّ»
8.50 [Machine] The Quran
٨۔٥٠ الْقِرَانُ
[Machine] 'Omar was guided by the Sunnah of your Prophet ﷺ . Isḥāq ibn Ibrāhīm informed us, Moṣ’ab ibn al-Miqdām informed us, from Zāʾida, from Manṣūr, from Shaqīq who said: As-Ṣubayy informed me that he narrated a similar story and he said: So I went to ʿUmar and I narrated the story to him except for his statement: "O sorrow!"
