[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was asked, "Which action is the best?" He replied, "Offering the prayer at its earliest time."

أَنَّ رَجُلاً سَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ أَىُّ الأَعْمَالِ أَفْضَلُ قَالَ الصَّلاَةُ لِوَقْتِهَا وَبِرُّ الْوَالِدَيْنِ ثُمَّ الْجِهَادُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ
Prayer at its appointed hour. I (again) said: Then what? He (the Holy Prophet) replied: Kindness to the parents. I (again) said: Then what? He replied: Earnest endeavour (Jihad) in the cause of Allah. And I would have not ceased asking more questions but out of regard (for his feelings).

The best of' the deeds or deed is the (observance of) prayer at its proper time and kindness to the parents.
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ أَفْضَلُ الأَعْمَالِ أَوِ الْعَمَلِ الصَّلاَةُ لِوَقْتِهَا وَبِرُّ الْوَالِدَيْنِ
The most excellent prayer is that in which the duration of standing is longer.

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was asked: Which of the actions is best? He replied: Observing prayer early in its period. Al-Khuza'i narrated in his version from his aunt named Umm Farwah who took the oath of allegiance to the Prophet ﷺ: He was questioned.

«مَا صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ الصَّلَاةَ لِوَقْتِهَا الْآخِرِ حَتَّى قَبَضَهُ اللَّهُ»
