[Machine] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ , he said, "Every newborn is born upon the natural disposition, and then his parents make him Jewish, Christian or Magian."

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Every newborn is born on the Fitrah (pure natural disposition), but his parents make him Jewish, Christian or Magian."
There is none born but is created to his true nature (Islam). It is his parents who make him a Jew or a Christian or a Magian quite as beasts produce their young with their limbs perfect. Do you see anything deficient in them? Then he quoted the Qur'an., The nature made by Allah in which He has created men there is no altering of Allah's creation; that is the right religion" (Rūm 30) (Using translation from Muslim 2658b)
عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «كُلُّ مَوْلُودٍ يُولَدُ عَلَى الْفِطْرَةِ فَأَبَوَاهُ يُهَوِّدَانِهِ وَيُنَصِّرَانِهِ وَيُمَجِّسَانِهِ كَمَا تَنْتِجُونَ إِبِلَكُمْ هَذِهِ هَلْ تُحِسُّونَ فِيهَا مِنْ جَدْعَاءَ؟ » ثُمَّ يَقُولُ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ فَاقْرَؤُوا إِنْ شِئْتُمْ {فِطْرَةَ اللَّهِ الَّتِي فَطَرَ النَّاسَ عَلَيْهَا لَا تَبْدِيلَ لِخَلْقِ اللَّهِ}
Messenger of Allah ﷺ was asked about the offspring of the pagans. He said, "Allah knows what they would have done (were they to live)." (Using translation from Bukhārī 6598)
[Machine] When they killed the children, the Prophet ﷺ was informed and he said, "Are not your best among you the children of the polytheists? Every child is born upon the innate nature of Islam, and then his parents make him Jewish, Christian, or Magian."
Every child is born on Islam, but his parents make him a Jew and a Christian, just as a beast is born whole. Do you find some among them (born) maimed? The people asked : Messenger of Allah! What do you think about the one who died while he was young? He replied : Allah knows best what he was going to do. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4714)
[Machine] I heard Abu Al-Qasim ﷺ say, "Our Lord wonders at a group of people who are dragged to Paradise in chains."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw a dead woman in one of his expeditions and expressed disapproval of it, prohibiting the killing of women and children.
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed by me while I was in Al-Abwa or Waddan, so I presented to him the meat of a wild donkey. He returned it to me when he saw dislike in my face, saying, "It is not permissible for us, but it is for them." The Prophet ﷺ was asked about staying overnight in a polytheist's house where their women and children are present, and he said, "They are from them." I also heard him say, "There is no protection except for Allah and His Messenger."
[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "There is no protection except for Allah and His Messenger." I asked him, "Should we kill the children of polytheists alongside them?" He replied, "Yes, as they are from them." Then he forbade killing them on the day of Hunayn.
There is happiness for this child who is a bird from amongst the birds of Paradise. Thereupon Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Don't you know that Allah created the Paradise and He created the Hell and He created the dwellers for this (Paradise) and the denizens for this (Hell)? (Using translation from Muslim 2662b)
4.2 [Machine] The designation
[Machine] When this verse was revealed to the Prophet ﷺ , they came to him and fell on their knees, saying, "We cannot bear it, we cannot endure the burden of the tasks imposed on us, which are beyond our capacity." So, Allah revealed the verse: "The Messenger has believed in what was revealed to him from his Lord, and [so have] the believers. All of them have believed in Allah and His angels and His books and His messengers, [saying], 'We make no distinction between any of His messengers.' And they say, 'We hear and we obey. [We seek] Your forgiveness, our Lord, and to You is the [final] destination.'" The Prophet ﷺ said, "Do not say as the People of the Scripture said before you, 'We hear and we disobey,' but rather say, 'We hear and we obey. [We seek] Your forgiveness, our Lord, and to You is the [final] destination.'" So, Allah revealed the verse: "Allah does not charge a soul except [with that within] its capacity. It will have [the consequence of] what [good] it has gained, and it will bear [the consequence of] what [evil] it has earned. 'Our Lord, do not impose blame upon us if we have forgotten or erred. Our Lord, and lay not upon us a burden like that which You laid upon those before us.'" He said, "Yes." They said, "Our Lord, and burden us not with that which we have no ability to bear. And pardon us; and forgive us; and have mercy upon us. You are our protector, so give us victory over the disbelieving people." He said, "Yes."
ذِكْرُ الْإِخْبَارِ عَنِ الْحَالَةِ الَّتِي مِنْ أَجْلِهَا أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ جَلَّ وَعَلَا: {لَا إِكْرَاهَ فِي الدِّينِ}
[Machine] The woman from the Ansar used to barely have a son to live for. She would vow that if she had a son who survived, she would make him Jewish. But when the Banu Nadir were expelled, among them were some people from the sons of the Ansar. So the Ansar said, "O Messenger of Allah, these are our children." So Allah revealed this verse, "There is no compulsion in religion." Sa'id bin Jubayr said, "So whoever wanted to join them could do so, and whoever wanted to enter Islam could do so."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ went out one night in Ramadan and prayed in the mosque. Some men prayed behind him. The people spoke about it and more of them gathered. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ went out again and they prayed behind him. The people talked about it again. The people of the mosque gathered on the third night. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ went out and they prayed behind him. On the fourth night, the mosque was crowded, but the Messenger of Allah ﷺ did not go out to them except for the Fajr prayer. After the Fajr prayer, he faced the people and made the testimony of faith, then he said, "It was not hidden from me your presence, but I feared that it would be made obligatory upon you, and you would be unable to fulfill it." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ encouraged them to stand in prayer during the month of Ramadan without imposing it on them. He said, "Whoever stands in prayer during Ramadan out of faith and seeking reward, all his previous sins will be forgiven." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ went out, and this practice continued during the caliphates of Abu Bakr, Umar, and thereafter.

Ibn Abbas said: A lunatic woman passed by Ali ibn AbuTalib. He then mentioned the rest of the tradition to the same effect as Uthman mentioned. This version has: Do you not remember that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ has said: There are three whose actions are not recorded: a lunatic whose mind is deranged till he is restored to consciousness, a sleeper till he awakes, and a boy till he reaches puberty? (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4401)

A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: Messenger of Allah! one of us has thoughts of such nature that he would rather be reduced to charcoal than speak about them. He said: Allah is Most Great, Allah is Most Great, Allah is Most Great. Praise be to Allah Who has reduced the guile of the devil to evil prompting. Ibn Qudamah said "reduced his matter" instead of "reduced his guile". Ibn Qudamah said "reduced his matter" instead of "reduced his guile". (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 5112)

“While we were sitting in the mosque, a man entered riding a camel; he made it kneel in the mosque, then he hobbled it and said to them: ‘Which of you is Muhammad?’ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was reclining among them, so they said: ‘This fair- skinned man who is reclining.’ The man said to him: ‘O son of ‘Abdul- Muttalib!’ The Prophet ﷺ said: ‘I am listening to you.’ The man said: O Muhammad! I am asking you and will be stern in asking, so do not bear any ill-feelings towards me.’ He said: ‘Ask whatever you think.’ The man said: ‘I adjure you by your Lord and the Lord of those who came before you, has Allah sent you to all of mankind?’ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: ‘By Allah, yes.; He said: ‘I adjure you by Allah, has Allah commanded you to pray the five prayers each day and night?’ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: ‘By Allah, yes.’ He said: ‘I adjure you by Allah, has Allah commanded you to fast this month of each year?’ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: ‘By Allah, yes.’ He said: ‘I adjure you by Allah, has Allah commanded you to take this charity from our rich and distribute it among our poor?’ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: ‘By Allah, yes.’ The man said: ‘I believe in what you have brought, and I am the envoy of my people who are behind me. [Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was once prominent among the people when a man came to him walking and said, "O Muhammad, what is faith?" He said, "To believe in Allah, His angels, His messengers, and the Day of Judgement, and to believe in the resurrection after death." The man asked, "O Messenger of Allah, what is Islam?" He said, "To worship Allah alone and not associate anything with Him, to establish the obligatory prayers, to pay the obligatory charity, and to fast during the month of Ramadan." The man then asked, "O Muhammad, what is excellence (ihsan)?" He said, "To worship Allah as if you see Him, and if you cannot see Him, then know that He sees you." Finally, the man asked, "O Muhammad, when will the Hour (the Day of Judgement) occur?" He replied, "The one being asked about it knows no more than the questioner, but I will inform you of its signs. When the servant girl gives birth to her master, and you see the barefooted, naked, destitute shepherds competing in the construction of tall buildings, that is among its signs. The knowledge of the Hour belongs only to Allah {Indeed, Allah [alone] has knowledge of the Hour} [Quran 31:34]." Then the man left, and the Prophet ﷺ said, "That was Gabriel who came to teach the people their religion."

[Machine] I had a female servant who used to take care of my sheep in the area of Uhud and Al-Juwwaniyah. One day, I went to visit my sheep and found that a wolf had taken one of them. I felt sorry for the loss, just like any normal human would, so I hit the servant with a strong blow. It deeply affected me, so I went to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "Shouldn't I set her free?" He responded, "Bring her to me." So I brought her to him and he asked, "Where is Allah?" She replied, "In the heavens." He asked, "Who am I?" She said, "You are the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ." He said, "Set her free, for she is a believer."

He said, "If I do all of that, would I be a believer (mu'min)?" He said, "Yes." He said, "You have spoken the truth." He asked, "O Muhammad, what is excellence (ihsan)?" He said, "Excellence is that you worship Allah as if you see Him, and even though you do not see Him, He sees you." He asked, "If I do that, would I be excellent (muhsin)?" He said, "Yes." He said, "You have spoken the truth." He asked, "O Muhammad, when is the Hour (Day of Judgment)?" He said, "Glory be to Allah, the one who is asked about it knows no more than the questioner, but if you wish, I will inform you about its signs." He said, "Yes." He said, "When you see barefoot, naked, destitute shepherds competing in constructing tall buildings and when you see women giving birth to their mistresses, that is among the signs of the Hour." He said, "You have spoken the truth." Then the man left, and the Prophet ﷺ said, "O Umar, do you know who this man was?" We said, "Allah and His Messenger know best." He said, "This was Gabriel who came to teach you your religion."

And they establish prayer and give zakat. If they do that, their lives and wealth are protected from me, except by the rights of Islam, and their final judgment will be with Allah.'"

Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "I have been ordered (by Allah) to fight against the people until they testify that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah and that Muhammad is Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and offer the prayers perfectly and give the obligatory charity, so if they perform that, then they save their lives and property from me except for Islamic laws and then their reckoning (accounts) will be done by Allah." that a man asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, "What is Īmān (faith)?" He said, "If you are happy with your good deeds and are saddened by your bad deeds, then you are a believer." The man said, “O Messenger of Allah, then what is sin?” He said, "If something ˹you do˺ troubles you within, then you should abandon it." (Using translation from Aḥmad 22166)
