3. Book of Purification (1/12)
[Machine] "About Al-Maqburi and it is authentic according to the condition of the Muslims, on their condition."
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said to Ka'b bin 'Ujrah, "When you perform ablution and enter the mosque, do not intertwine your fingers." This was narrated by Shurayk bin 'Abdullah from Muhammad bin 'Ajlan in its chain of narration. Shurayk narrated it from Ibn 'Ajlan, who heard it from his father, who heard it from Abu Hurairah.
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When you are in the mosque, do not hold your fingers like this," meaning intertwined.
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "When one of you enters the mosque, let him send blessings upon the Prophet ﷺ and say: ‘O Allah, grant me protection from the accursed Satan.’"
[Machine] A man came to pray and the Prophet ﷺ was leading the prayer. When he finished his prayer, he said, "O Allah, give me the best of what You give to your righteous servants." When the Prophet ﷺ finished the prayer, he said, "Who was the one speaking earlier?" The man said, "It was me, O Messenger of Allah." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Then your camel will stumble and you will be martyred in the cause of Allah."
“Allahumma inni a’udhu bika minash-Shaitanir-rajim, wa hamzihi wa nafkhihi wa nafthihi (O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the accursed Satan, from his madness, his pride, and his poetry).” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 808)
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to recite aloud "Bismillah-ir-Rahman-ir-Rahim". Al-Bukhari reported it with a sound chain of narrators including Salim, who was the son of Ajlan al-Aftas, and Muslim also reported it with a chain that includes Sharik. Both of these chains are authentic and have no flaws, and they have not been rejected.
[Machine] Abu Ja'far Mohammad ibn Ali ibn Duhaime Al Shybayani informed us.
The Prophet ﷺ said: The further one is from the mosque , the greater will be one's reward. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 556)
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Praying in congregation is rewarded as twenty-five times greater than praying alone. And if one perfects the bowing and the prostration in the prayer, it reaches the reward of fifty prayers."
[Machine] Abdullah bin Muslima al-Qa'nabi narrated from Abd al-Aziz bin Muhammad, from Muhammad bin Tahala, from Muhsin bin Ali, from Awf bin al-Harith who said:
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever performs ablution and perfects it, then goes and finds the people already praying, Allah Almighty will grant him the same reward as those who prayed without reducing their rewards in any way."
Ibn ‘Umar reported the Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying; Do not prevent your women from visiting the mosque; but their houses are better for them (for praying). (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 567)
[Machine] From Umm Salamah, the wife of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ , that the Prophet ﷺ said: "The best mosques for women are the innermost parts of their houses." Al-Dhahabi did not comment on this in his summary.
‘Abd Allah (b. Mas’ud) reported the prophet ﷺ as saying; it is more excellent for a woman to pray in her house than in her courtyard, and more excellent for her to pray in her private chamber than in her house. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 570)
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw a person praying alone. He said: Is there any man who may do good with this (man) and pray along with him. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 574)
I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: He who leads the people in prayer, and he does so at the right time, will receive, as well as those who are led (in prayer) will get (the reward). He who delays (prayer) from the appointed time will be responsible (for this delay) and not those who are led in prayer. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 580)
Hudhaifah led the people in prayer in al-Mada’in standing on the shop(or a bench). Abu Mas’ud took him by his shirt, and brought him down. When he( Abu Mas’ud) finished his prayer, he said: Do you not know that they(the people) were prohibited to do so. He said: Yes, I remembered when you pulled me down. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 597)
[Machine] Hudhaifah prayed with the people in the cities, then he went ahead and climbed over a shop. Abu Mas'ood grabbed him by his clothes' collars and pulled him down. When they finished the prayer, Abu Mas'ood said to him, "Didn't you know that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade the Imam to step ahead while the people remain behind him?" Hudhaifah said, "So why didn't you say so when you pulled me?"
"We prayed behind one of the Amirs, the people compelled us such that we prayed between two columns. When we had prayed, Anas bin Malik said: 'We would be prevented from this during the time of Messenger of Allah.'" (Using translation from Tirmidhī 229)
[Machine] About the Prophet, peace be upon him, in his saying, "Indeed, the recitation of the Quran during Fajr is witnessed" [al-Isra' 78], he said, "The angels of the night and the angels of the day gather in it."
[Machine] Abdullah bin Umar used to say, "When we lost someone during the prayers of Al-Isha and Al-Fajr, we would suspect them as being the cause."
I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: If there are three men in a village or in the desert among whom prayer is not offered (in congregation), the devil has got the mastery over them. So observe (prayer) in congregation), for the wolf eats only the straggling animal. Sa'ib said: By the word Jama'ah he meant saying prayer in company or in congregation. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 547)
[Machine] "On the authority of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , he said, 'When a person performs ablution and then goes to the mosque to observe prayer, for every step he takes towards the mosque, a good deed will be written for him by his recorder or recorders. And whoever remains seated, observing the prayer of someone, will receive the same reward as the one offering the prayer, and this reward will be written for him from the moment he leaves his house until he returns.'"
[Machine] He, Abdullah, what is your concern, O Abu Abdurrahman? He said, "Why would I want the enemy of Allah to distract me from something I heard from the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him?" He said, "Do not exert yourself excessively, oh Adam! Do not go out to the mosque to talk. And I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, say, 'Whoever strives in the cause of Allah is guaranteed by Allah, and whoever sits in his house and refrains from speaking ill of anyone is guaranteed by Allah, and whoever visits a sick person is guaranteed by Allah, and whoever goes to the mosque or returns is guaranteed by Allah, and whoever goes to an Imam seeking counsel is guaranteed by Allah.' But the enemy of Allah wants to drive me out of my house to the gathering."
"The Messenger of Allah said: 'Give glad tidings to those who walk to the mosques in the dark, of perfect light on the Day of Resurrection.'" (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 781)
The Prophet ﷺ said: Give good tidings to those who walk to the mosques in darkness for having a perfect light on the Day of Judgment. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 561)
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When you see a man frequenting the mosque, bear witness to his faith." Allah, the Exalted, said: "Verily, those who attend to the mosques of Allah are those who believe in Allah and the Last Day." [Surah At-Tawbah: 18] This is a translation for the Egyptians. They did not differ in its accuracy and the truthfulness of its narrators, except that the two authentic scholars did not mention it. However, I have mentioned the statement regarding its authenticity in the previous explanation.
[Machine] From the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, he said: "No one of you should enter the mosque for prayer except that Allah will mush and shake him from where he comes out of his home, just as the people of absentees become mush and shake when they receive news about them."
[Machine] The Prophet's muezzin would call for prayer, then wait. And when he saw the Prophet approaching, he would start reciting the adhan.
"Whoever completes a row, may Allah be generous to him, and whoever cuts a row, may Allah cut him off." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 819)
“I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: ‘Allah and the angels send blessings upon the first row.’” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 997)
It was narrated from ‘Irbad bin Sariyah that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to ask for forgiveness for the first row three times and for the second row twice. (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 996)
[Machine] "While I was in the city, in the mosque, standing in the front row, ready to pray, a man behind me pushed me forcefully, making me lose my balance. He took my place and said, 'By Allah, I did not understand my prayer.' When he finished, I realized it was Ubay ibn Ka'b. He said, 'O young man, may Allah not cause you harm. This was a command from the Prophet ﷺ to us to give him our place, then he faced the qibla.' He said, 'Woe to the people who break their covenants three times, and by the Lord of the Kaaba, it is not upon them any anguish, but it is upon me for what they have misled.' I asked, 'Who do you mean by this?' He said, 'The rulers.'"
"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'The Imam is appointed to be followed, so when he says the takbir, say the takbir, and when he recites, be silent, and when he says: "Sami' Allahu liman hamidah (Allah hears those who praise Him)," say: "Allahumma rabbana lakal-hamd (Our Lord, to You be praise)." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 921)
[Machine] From the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, two moments of silence: a moment of silence when he finished reciting the Takbir, and a moment of silence when he finished reciting during his bowing.
[Machine] Abu Hurairah came to us in the mosque of Bani Zurayq and said three times, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to do these three things and people have abandoned them: He would raise his hands until they passed his ears, then he would remain silent for a moment after reciting, and then he would ask Allah for His blessings."
[Machine] The translation of the given Arabic sentence is: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to start his day by saying, 'Praise be to Allah, the Lord of all worlds,' and he would not remain silent (after that)."
Abu Hurairah reported the Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying; when you come to pray while we are prostrating ourselves, you must prostrate yourselves, and do not reckon it anything (rak’ah) he has been present at the prayer. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 893)
[Machine] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to perform the prayer in complete secrecy." He said, "I prayed with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and he used to say the Tasleem (salutation) after standing for a while. Then, I also prayed with Abu Bakr and when he said the Tasleem, he would immediately rise from his place as if he was standing on hot coals."
[Machine] I saw him leading boys from his people and they prayed behind him. So I said, "You are the companion of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , and you have more virtue and precedence. Why don't you lead these boys in prayer? Will you not take the initiative and pray for your people?" He said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'The Imam (leader in prayer) is a guarantor. If he completes (the prayer) correctly, he gets the reward and the people get the reward, and if he makes a mistake, he bears the burden while the people are not held responsible for it. I do not want to take on that responsibility.'"
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Line up in the rows, and do not let the offspring of Al-Hadaf pass through you." I asked, "O Messenger of Allah, what are the offspring of Al-Hadaf?" He said, "They are black, stripped sheep that are found in the land of Yemen."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Among the beauty of prayer is maintaining the rows."
It was narrated from ‘Irbad bin Sariyah that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to ask for forgiveness for the first row three times and for the second row twice. (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 996)
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "From the time one of you leaves his home to go to his mosque, a foot writes a good deed and another erases a bad deed."
[Machine] It was narrated that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "When one of you performs ablution and completes it perfectly, then goes out to perform prayer, the foot of his left side continues to be wiped away from sins and written for him is a good deed until he enters the masjid (mosque)." "Kathir ibn Zaid and Abu Abdullah Al-Qarrazi are two people from Madinah whom we do not know except that they are truthful."
[Machine] "He used to say, 'It is from the sunnah that when you enter the mosque, you start with your right foot, and when you leave, you start with your left foot.'"
The prophet ﷺ persuaded them to say prayer in congregation and prohibited them to leave before he goes away from the prayer. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 624)
I offered the Friday prayer along with Anas ibn Malik. We were pushed to the pillars (due to the crowd of people). We, therefore, stopped forward and backward. Anas then said: We used to avoid it (setting a row between the pillars) during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 673)
