The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever carries arms against us, is not from us."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ حَمَلَ عَلَيْنَا السِّلاَحَ فَلَيْسَ مِنَّا رَوَاهُ أَبُو مُوسَى عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ

Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever takes up arms against us, is not from us."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ حَمَلَ عَلَيْنَا السِّلاَحَ فَلَيْسَ مِنَّا

The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever takes up arms against us, is not from us."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ حَمَلَ عَلَيْنَا السِّلاَحَ فَلَيْسَ مِنَّا

He who draws the sword against us is not of us.

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ سَلَّ عَلَيْنَا السَّيْفَ فَلَيْسَ مِنَّا

He who took up arms against us is not of us.

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ حَمَلَ عَلَيْنَا السِّلاَحَ فَلَيْسَ مِنَّا

He who took up arms against us is not of us and he who acted dishonestly towards us is not of us.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ حَمَلَ عَلَيْنَا السِّلاَحَ فَلَيْسَ مِنَّا وَمَنْ غَشَّنَا فَلَيْسَ مِنَّا

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, and so and so said?

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَقَالَ فُلَانٌ؟

[AI] I have heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "Whoever builds a mosque for Allah, Allah will build a similar one for him in Paradise."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَنْ بَنَى لِلَّهِ مَسْجِدًا بَنَى اللَّهُ لَهُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ مِثْلَهُ»

[AI] The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said, "Whoever is capable of marriage but does not marry, then he is not from among us."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «مَنْ قَدَرَ عَلَى أَنْ يَنْكِحَ فَلَمْ يَنْكِحْ فَلَيْسَ مِنَّا»

“Whoever bears weapons against us is not one of us.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 2575)

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ سَلَّ عَلَيْنَا السِّلَاحَ فَلَيْسَ مِنَّا»

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade selling or giving away the right to inheritance by a manumitted slave. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 2919)

«نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَنْ بَيْعِ الْوَلَاءِ وَعَنْ هِبَتِهِ»

“Whoever bears weapons against us is not one of us.'” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 2576)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَنْ حَمَلَ عَلَيْنَا السِّلَاحَ فَلَيْسَ مِنَّا

The Prophet ﷺ said: He who swears by Amanah (faithfulness) is not one of us. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 3253)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَنْ رَمَانَا بِاللَّيْلِ فَلَيْسَ مِنَّا

He who took up arms against us is not of us and he who acted dishonestly towards us is not of us. (Using translation from Muslim 101)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ حَمَلَ عَلَيْنَا السِّلَاحَ فَلَيْسَ مِنَّا وَمَنْ غَشَّنَا فَلَيْسَ مِنَّا

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade plundering, and whoever engages in plundering is not from us.

نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنِ النُّهْبَةِ وَمَنْ انْتَهَبَ فَلَيْسَ مِنَّا

“If anyone of you is charged with taking care of his brother (after death), let him shroud him well.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 1474)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَنْ وَلِيَ أَخَاهُ فَلْيُحْسِنْ كَفَنَهُ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The water of Zamzam is for whatever it is drunk for."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَاءُ زَمْزَمَ لِمَا شُرِبَ مِنْهُ

The Prophet ﷺ said: Cutting of hand is not to be inflicted on one who plunders, but he who plunders conspicuously does not belong to us. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4391)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَيْسَ عَلَى الْمُنْتَهِبِ قَطْعٌ وَمَنْ انْتَهَبَ نُهْبَةً مَشْهُورَةً فَلَيْسَ مِنَّا وَقَالَ لَيْسَ عَلَى الْخَائِنِ قَطْعٌ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Whoever robs someone is not one of us." This was narrated to us by Yahya ibn Adam and also by Abu al-Nadr.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَنْ انْتَهَبَ نُهْبَةً فَلَيْسَ مِنَّا حَدَّثَنَاهُ يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ وَأَبُو النَّضْرِ أَيْضًا

“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade eulogies.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 1592)

نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنِ الْمُثْلَةِ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade plunder and mutilation.

نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنِ النُّهْبَةِ وَالْمُثْلَةِ.

نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنِ الْمُثْلَةِ وَالنُّهْبَةِ.

[AI] "On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ, he said, “Whoever does not take from his companion’s drink is not one of us.”

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ لَمْ يَأْخُذْ مِنْ شَارِبِهِ فَلَيْسَ مِنَّا

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever does not take from his mustache is not one of us."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ لَمْ يَأْخُذْ مِنْ شَارِبِهِ فَلَيْسَ مِنَّا

"There is no 'bringing', no 'avoidance' and no Shighar in Islam." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 3591)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ لَا جَلَبَ وَلَا جَنَبَ وَلَا شِغَارَ

"There is no 'bringing', no 'avoidance' and no Shighar in Islam, and whoever robs, he is not one of us." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 3335)

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ لَا جَلَبَ وَلَا جَنَبَ وَلَا شِغَارَ فِي الْإِسْلَامِ وَمَنِ انْتَهَبَ فَلَيْسَ مِنَّا

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ مَنِ انْتَهَبَ نُهْبَةً فَلَيْسَ مِنَّا

“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: ‘Whoever kills, the spoils are his.’” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 2838)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَنْ قَتَلَ فَلَهُ السَّلَبُ

If any one of you performs ablution (on Friday) that is all right; and if any of you takes a bath, that is better. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 354)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَنْ تَوَضَّأَ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ فَبِهَا وَنِعْمَتْ وَمَنْ اغْتَسَلَ فَالْغُسْلُ أَفْضَلُ

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "Whoever takes spoils is not one of us, so return this sheep." They returned it and distributed it equally.

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَنِ انْتَهَبَ نُهْبَةً فَلَيْسَ مِنَّا فَرُدُّوا هَذِهِ الْغَنَمَ فَرَدُّوهَا فَقَسَمَهَا بِالسَّوِيَّةِ

“Whoever plunders is not one of us.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3937)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ مَنِ انْتَهَبَ نُهْبَةً فَلَيْسَ مِنَّا

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "Whoever unlawfully takes something, it does not belong to us, so return it and distribute it among them equally."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَنِ انْتَهَبَ فَلَيْسَ مِنَّا رُدُّوهَا فَرَدُّوهَا فَقَسَمَهَا بَيْنَهُمْ بِالسَّوِيَّةِ

"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade the Muhaqalah and the Muzabanah." (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 2267)

نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنِ الْمُحَاقَلَةِ وَالْمُزَابَنَةِ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade (taking hire for) a stallion's covering. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 3429)

نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنِ النَّعْيِ

[AI] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Whoever does not shave his pubic hair, trim his nails, and clean his moustache, is not one of us."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ لَمْ يَحْلِقْ عَانَتَهُ وَيُقَلِّمْ أَظْفَارَهُ وَيَجُزَّ شَارِبَهُ فَلَيْسَ مِنَّا

"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used not to perform Wudu' after Ghusl." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 252)

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا يَتَوَضَّأُ بَعْدَ الْغُسْلِ

[AI] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Whoever builds a mosque for Allah, then Allah will build for him a house in Paradise broader than it."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ بَنَى لِلَّهِ مَسْجِدًا فَإِنَّ اللهَ يَبْنِي لَهُ بَيْتًا أَوْسَعَ مِنْهُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Witr (odd-numbered prayers) is a right, so whoever does not perform Witr is not among us."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «الْوِتْرُ حَقٌّ فَمَنْ لَمْ يُوتِرْ فَلَيْسَ مِنَّا»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Whoever prays twelve voluntary prostrations, Allah will build a house for him in paradise."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «مَنْ صَلَّى اثْنَتَيْ عَشْرَةَ سَجْدَةً تَطَوُّعًا بَنَى اللَّهُ لَهُ بَيْتًا فِي الْجَنَّةِ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, said, "Whoever takes the first seven verses of the Quran, they are the best."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «مَنْ أَخَذَ السَّبْعَ الْأُوَلَ مِنَ الْقُرْآنِ فَهُوَ خَيْرٌ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "He is not one of us who steals, robs, or signals towards theft." Bukhari cited Abu Kudaynah Yahya ibn al-Muhallab as evidence.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «لَيْسَ مِنَّا مَنِ انْتَهَبَ أَوْ سَلَبَ أَوْ أَشَارَ بِالسَّلَبِ» قَدِ احْتَجَّ الْبُخَارِيُّ بِأَبِي كُدَيْنَةَ يَحْيَى بْنِ الْمُهَلَّبِ «وَ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Whoever deceives us is not one of us, and deception and trickery are in the fire."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «مَنْ غَشَّنَا فَلَيْسَ مِنَّا وَالْمَكْرُ وَالْخِدَاعُ فِي النَّارِ»

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «لَا جَلَبَ وَلَا جَنَبَ وَلَا شِغَارَ وَمَنِ انْتَهَبَ نُهْبَةً فَلَيْسَ مِنَّا»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "The upper hand is better than the lower hand."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «الْيَدُ الْعُلْيَا خَيْرٌ مِنَ الْيَدِ السُّفْلَى»

‘It is not an act of righteousness to fast while traveling.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 1664)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «لَيْسَ مِنَ الْبِرِّ الصِّيَامُ فِي السَّفَرِ»

"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Whoever does not trim his mustache, he is not from one of us.'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 13)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «مَنْ لَمْ يَأْخُذْ شَارِبَهُ فَلَيْسَ مِنَّا»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever deceives us is not one of us, and deceit and trickery are in Hellfire."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «مَنْ غَشَّنَا فَلَيْسَ مِنَّا وَالْمَكْرُ وَالْخِدَاعُ فِي النَّارِ» *

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever takes us as targets with arrows of nobility is not amongst us."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «مَنْ رَمَانَا بِالنَّبْلِ * فَلَيْسَ مِنَّا»
