from the Prophet ﷺ who said: Do not associate with anyone other than a believer not let anyone other than a God-fearing person eat from the meal ˹you serve.˺
The Prophet ﷺ said: Associate only with a believer, and let only a God-fearing man eat your meals. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4832)
Messenger of Allah! A man loves some people, but he cannot do work like their work. He replied; Yes, Abu Dharr, will be with those whom you love. Abu Dharr then repeated it. The Messenger of Allah (May peace be upon him) also repeated it. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 5126)
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ came and a man said, "O Messenger of Allah, what do you think of a person who loves a group of people but is not able to join them?" He ﷺ replied, "A person will be with those whom he loves."
I was in the company of Allah's Apostle ﷺ as he had been sitting in Ji'rana (a place) between Mecca and Medina and Bilal was also there, that there came to Allah's Apostle ﷺ a desert Arab, and he said: Muhammad, fulfill your promise that you made with me. Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him: Accept glad tidings. Thereupon the desert Arab said: You shower glad tidings upon me very much; then Messenger of Allah ﷺ turned towards Abu Musa and Bilal seemingly in a state of annoyance and said: Verily he has rejected glad tidings but you two should accept them. We said: Messenger of Allah, we have readily accepted them. Then Messenger of Allah ﷺ called for a cup of water and washed his hands in that and face too and put the saliva in it and then said: Drink out of it and pour it over your faces and over your chest and gladden yourselves. They took hold of the cup and did as Messenger of Allah ﷺ had commanded them to do. Thereupon Umm Salama called from behind the veil: Spare some water in your vessel for your mother also, and they also gave some water which had been spared for her. (Using translation from Muslim 2497)

The Prophet ﷺ said, 'The example of a good pious companion and an evil one is that of a person carrying musk and another blowing a pair of bellows. The one who is carrying musk will either give you some perfume as a present, or you will buy some from him, or you will get a good smell from him, but the one who is blowing a pair of bellows will either burn your clothes or you will get a bad smell from him." (Using translation from Bukhārī 5534)

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Indeed, among the servants of Allah there are people who are not prophets, yet the prophets and the martyrs envy them." It was asked, "Who are they? Perhaps we may love them." He replied, "They are a people who love one another for the sake of Allah, without any blood relation or financial ties. Their faces are radiant with light upon pulpits made of light, and they are not afraid when people are afraid, nor do they grieve when people grieve." Then he recited, "No doubt, the friends of Allah shall have no fear, nor shall they grieve."

Verily. Allah would say on the Day of Resurrection: Where are those who have mutual love for My Glory's sake? Today I shall shelter them in My shadow when there is no other shadow but the shadow of Mine. (Using translation from Muslim 2566)

[Machine] He said, "I entered the mosque of Damascus and there was a young man named Burrāq al-Thanayā with a group of people. Whenever they disagreed on something, they would seek his opinion and follow his advice. I asked about him, and I was told that this was Mu'adh ibn Jabal. The next day, I migrated, and I found him already there, praying. I waited for him until he finished his prayer and then approached him from the front and greeted him. I said, 'By Allah, I love you for the sake of Allah.' He asked, 'For Allah?' I replied, 'For Allah.' So, he took hold of my collar and brought me closer to him and said, 'Rejoice, for I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "Allah, the Exalted, says: My love is obligatory for those who love each other for My sake, those who sit together for My sake, and those who visit each other for My sake."'"

He said: No, excepting this that I love Mm for the sake of Allah, the Exalted and Glorious. Thereupon he said: I am a meesenger to you from, Allah: (to inform you) that Allah loves you as you love him (for His sake). (Using translation from Muslim 2567a)

He said, "Then He would draw my shoulder [closer to him] and say, 'Rejoice! If you are truthful, then I have heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'Those who love one another for the sake of Allah will be in the shade of the Throne on the Day when there will be no shade except His shade. The prophets and martyrs will envy them for their position.'" Then he said, "So I went out and came to 'Ubada bin As-Samit and told him about the hadith of Mu'adh. 'Ubada bin As-Samit said, 'I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'My love is guaranteed for those who love one another for my sake, for those who advise one another for my sake, for those who visit one another for my sake, and for those who spend on one another for my sake, while they are upon pulpits of light. The prophets and the truthful ones will envy them for their position.'"

There are some expressions which a man utters three times when he gets up from an assembly he will be forgiven for what happened in the assembly; and no one utters them in an assembly held for a noble cause or for remembrance of Allah but that is stamped with them just as a document is stamped with a signet-ring. These expressions are: Glory be to Thee, O Allah, and I begin with praise of Thee, there is no god but thou; I ask Thy pardon, and return to Thee in repentance. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4857)
[Machine] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ that he said, "Whoever sits in a gathering where there is excessive vain talk, then says before getting up, 'Glory be to You, O Allah, our Lord, and praise be to You. There is no god but You. I seek Your forgiveness and repent to You,' except that he will be forgiven for what was in that gathering."
