A bedouin came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "O Messenger of Allah ﷺ! When will The Hour be established?" The Prophet ﷺ said, "Wailaka (Woe to you), What have you prepared for it?" The bedouin said, "I have not prepared anything for it, except that I love Allah and H is Apostle." The Prophet ﷺ said, "You will be with those whom you love." We (the companions of the Prophet ﷺ ) said, "And will we too be so? The Prophet ﷺ said, "Yes." So we became very glad on that day. In the meantime, a slave of Al-Mughira passed by, and he was of the same age as I was. The Prophet ﷺ said. "If this (slave) should live long, he will not reach the geriatric old age, but the Hour will be established."  

أَنَّ رَجُلاً مِنْ أَهْلِ الْبَادِيَةِ أَتَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَتَى السَّاعَةُ قَائِمَةٌ قَالَ وَيْلَكَ وَمَا أَعْدَدْتَ لَهَا قَالَ مَا أَعْدَدْتُ لَهَا إِلاَّ أَنِّي أُحِبُّ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ قَالَ إِنَّكَ مَعَ مَنْ أَحْبَبْتَ فَقُلْنَا وَنَحْنُ كَذَلِكَ قَالَ نَعَمْ فَفَرِحْنَا يَوْمَئِذٍ فَرَحًا شَدِيدًا فَمَرَّ غُلاَمٌ لِلْمُغِيرَةِ وَكَانَ مِنْ أَقْرَانِي فَقَالَ إِنْ أُخِّرَ هَذَا فَلَنْ يُدْرِكَهُ الْهَرَمُ حَتَّى تَقُومَ السَّاعَةُ وَاخْتَصَرَهُ شُعْبَةُ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ سَمِعْتُ أَنَسًا عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ  

" O Messenger of Allah! When will the Hour be established?" So the Propher ﷺ stood to perform Salat and when he was finished his Salat he said: "Where is the one who asked when the hour will be established?" The man said: "It was I, O Mesenger of Allah!" He said: "What have you prepared for it?" He said: "O Messenger of allah! I have not prepared very much of salat nor fasting for it, but I love Allah and His Messenger." So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "A man shall be with whom ever he loves, and you shall be with whomever you love." So after the advent of Islam, I did not see that anything brought the Muslims more happiness than that.  

أَنَّهُ قَالَ جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَتَى قِيَامُ السَّاعَةِ فَقَامَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ إِلَى الصَّلاَةِ فَلَمَّا قَضَى صَلاَتَهُ قَالَ أَيْنَ السَّائِلُ عَنْ قِيَامِ السَّاعَةِ فَقَالَ الرَّجُلُ أَنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ مَا أَعْدَدْتَ لَهَا قَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَا أَعْدَدْتُ لَهَا كَبِيرَ صَلاَةٍ وَلاَ صَوْمٍ إِلاَّ أَنِّي أُحِبُّ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ الْمَرْءُ مَعَ مَنْ أَحَبَّ وَأَنْتَ مَعَ مَنْ أَحْبَبْتَ فَمَا رَأَيْتُ فَرِحَ الْمُسْلِمُونَ بَعْدَ الإِسْلاَمِ فَرَحَهُمْ بِهَذَا  

" O Messenger of Allah! When will the Hour be established?" [Machine] I was with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in his house when a man came to him and said, "O Messenger of Allah, when is the Hour (i.e., the Day of Judgment)?" He said, "Indeed, the Hour is coming, but what have you prepared for it?" The man said, "By Allah, O Messenger of Allah, I have not prepared much for it except that I love Allah and His Messenger." The Prophet ﷺ said, "Indeed, you will be with whom you love and you will have what you anticipate." Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood up to pray. After he finished his prayer, he asked, "Where is the one who asked about the Hour?" So the man approached, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ looked towards the house and saw a boy in the company of a group from the tribe of Abu Hurairah, called Sa'ad ibn Malik. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "This boy, if he lives long enough, he will not grow old until the Hour comes." Al-Hasan said, and Anas informed me, "That boy was one of my peers at that time."  

كُنْتُ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فِي بَيْتِهِ فَجَاءَه رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ مَتَى السَّاعَةُ؟ قَالَ أَمَا إِنَّهَا قَائِمَةٌ فَمَا أَعْدَدْتَ لَهَا؟ قَالَ وَاللهِ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ مَا أَعْدَدْتُ لَهَا مِنْ كَثِيرِ عَمَلٍ غَيْرَ أَنِّي أُحِبُّ اللهَ وَرَسُولَهُ قَالَ فَإِنَّكَ مَعَ مَنْ أَحْبَبْتَ وَلَكَ مَا احْتَسَبْتَ قَالَ ثُمَّ قَامَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُصَلِّي فَلَمَّا قَضَى صَلَاتَهُ قَالَ أَيْنَ السَّائِلُ عَنِ السَّاعَةِ؟ فَأَتَى الرَّجُلُ فَنَظَرَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِلَىالْبَيْتِ فَإِذَا غُلَامٌ مِنْ دَوْسٍ مِنْ رَهْطِ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ يُقَالُ لَهُ سَعْدُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ هَذَا الْغُلَامُ إِنْ طَالَ بِهِ عُمُرٌ لَمْ يَبْلُغْ بِهِ الْهَرَمُ حَتَّى تَقُومَ السَّاعَةُ قَالَ الْحَسَنُ وَأَخْبَرَنِي أَنَسٌ أَنَّ الْغُلَامَ كَانَ يَوْمَئِذٍ مِنْ أَقْرَانِي  

[Machine] A Bedouin asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about the Day of Judgment. The Prophet ﷺ asked him, "What have you prepared for it?" The Bedouin replied, "Nothing, except that I love Allah and His Messenger." The Prophet ﷺ said, "A person will be with those whom he loves." Then he asked, "Where is the person asking about the Hour?" The Bedouin said, "Here is a young boy." So the Prophet ﷺ said, "If this boy lives, he will not reach old age until the Hour comes."  

أَنَّ أَعْرَابِيًّا سَأَلَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ قِيَامِ السَّاعَةِ؟ فَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ مَا أَعْدَدْتَ لَهَا؟ قَالَ لَا إِلَّا أَنِّي أُحِبُّ اللهَ وَرَسُولَهُ قَالَ الْمَرْءُ مَعَ مَنْ أَحَبَّ ثُمَّ قَالَ أَيْنَ السَّائِلُ عَنِ السَّاعَةِ؟ قَالَ وَثَمَّ غُلَامٌ فَقَالَ إِنْ يَعِشْ هَذَا فَلَنْ يَبْلُغَ الْهَرَمَ حَتَّى تَقُومَ السَّاعَةُ
