21. Book of Inheritance
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade selling or giving away the right to inheritance by a manumitted slave. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 2919)
All the persons depend upon Abdullah b. Dinar in regard to this hadith. (Using translation from Muslim 1506a)
[Machine] I heard Ibn Abbas say, "Allegiance cannot be bought nor given as a gift, rather allegiance is for the one who frees others."
[Machine] "Abdullah, loyalty is like flesh, it cannot be bought or gifted."
[Machine] "From Al-Hasan and Sa'id ibn Al-Musayyib, they despised selling loyalty."
[Machine] Ibn Abbas, loyalty cannot be sold, meaning it cannot be consumed by the enslavement of a person twice.
