[Machine] I heard Ibn Abbas say, "Allegiance cannot be bought nor given as a gift, rather allegiance is for the one who frees others."
سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ يَقُولُ «لَا يُبَاعُ الْوَلَاءُ وَلَا يُوهَبُ وَالْوَلَاءُ لِمَنْ أَعْتَقَ»

The Prophet ﷺ sent me (to Mina) with the luggage from Jam' (i.e. Al-Muzdalifa) at night.
سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ ؓ يَقُولُ بَعَثَنِي أَوْ قَدَّمَنِي النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فِي الثَّقَلِ مِنْ جَمْعٍ بِلَيْلٍ
[Machine] I heard Ibn Abbas saying, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent me on a mission at night."
سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ يَقُولُ «بَعَثَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ مِنْ جَمْعٍ بِلَيْلٍ»
[Machine] Loyalty cannot be bought nor can loyalty be given to someone who has been set free.
لَا يُبَاعُ الْوَلَاءُ وَلَا يُوهَبُ الْوَلَاءُ لِمَنْ أَعْتَقَ
"عَن ابْنِ عباسٍ قَالَ: الْوَلَاءُ لِمَنْ أَعْتَقَ، لَا يَجُوزُ بَيْعُهُ، وَلَا هِبَتُهُ".
