'" 'Abdullah bin 'Umar came to visit Ibn 'Amir when he was sick and he said: 'Won't you supplicate to Allah for me, O Ibn 'Umar ?' He said: 'I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: "No Salat is accepted without Wudu' (purification), and no charity (is accepted) that comes from Ghulul [1] " and you were the governor of Al-Basrah.' " [1] Goods pilfered from the spoils of war prior to their authorized distribution.

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ لاَ تُقْبَلُ صَلاَةٌ بِغَيْرِ طُهُورٍ وَلاَ صَدَقَةٌ مِنْ غُلُولٍ وَكُنْتَ عَلَى الْبَصْرَةِ

O Possessor of Glory and Honour.

وَقَالَ يَا ذَا الْجَلاَلِ وَالإِكْرَامِ

Do not sit on the graves and do not pray facing towards them.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لاَ تَجْلِسُوا عَلَى الْقُبُورِ وَلاَ تُصَلُّوا إِلَيْهَا

Do not pray facing towards the graves, and do not sit on them.

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ لاَ تُصَلُّوا إِلَى الْقُبُورِ وَلاَ تَجْلِسُوا عَلَيْهَا

The Prophet ﷺ said: Allah does not accept charity from goods acquired by embezzlement as He does not accept prayer without purification. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 59)

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «لَا يَقْبَلُ اللَّهُ صَلَاةً بِغَيْرِ طُهُورٍ وَلَا صَدَقَةً مِنْ غُلُولٍ»

"I heard the Messenger of Allah say: 'The hand is not to be cut off for (stealing) produce or the spadix of palm trees."' (Using translation from Nasāʾī 4960)

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «لَا قَطْعَ فِي ثَمَرٍ وَلَا كَثَرٍ»

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "Only a wrongdoer hoards." (It was said) twice.

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «لَا يَحْتَكِرُ إِلَّا خَاطِئٌ» مَرَّتَيْنِ

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "A good deed is rewarded ten times its like."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «الْحَسَنَةُ بِعَشْرِ أَمْثَالِهَا»

“Do not sit with the people who deny al-­qadar, or initiate any discussion with them.ʿ 'AbdurRahman said on one occasion: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say.....

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ لَا تُجَالِسُوا أَهْلَ الْقَدَرِ وَلا تُفَاتِحُوهُمْ وَقَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ مَرَّةً سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ

"I heard the Messenger of Allah say: 'Allah does not accept any prayer without purification, and He does not accept any charity from Ghulul.'" (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 273)

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ إِنَّ اللهَ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى لَا يَقْبَلُ صَدَقَةً مِنْ غُلُولٍ وَلَا صَلَاةً بِغَيْرِ طُهُورٍ

"The Messenger of Allah said: 'Allah does not accept any prayer without purification, and He does not accept any charity from ghulul.'" (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 272)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا تُقْبَلُ صَدَقَةٌ مِنْ غُلُولٍ وَلَا صَلَاةٌ بِغَيْرِ طُهُورٍ

[AI] Indeed, I do not deceive you, but the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Verily, Allah does not accept prayer without purity, nor does He accept charity from illicit sources."

أَمَا إِنِّي لَسْتُ بِأَغَشِّهِمْ لَكَ وَلَكِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِنَّ اللهَ لَا يَقْبَلُ صَلَاةً بِغَيْرِ طُهُورٍ وَلَا صَدَقَةً مِنْ غُلُولٍ

"The Messenger of Allah said: 'Allah does not accept any Salat (prayer) without purification, and He does not accept any charity from Ghulul.'" (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 274)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا يَقْبَلُ اللهُ تَعَالَى صَدَقَةً مِنْ غُلُولٍ وَلَا صَلَاةً بِغَيْرِ طُهُورٍ

"I heard the Messenger of Allah say: 'Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, does not accept prayer without purification or charity from Ghulul." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2524)

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ إِنَّ اللهَ ﷻ لَا يَقْبَلُ صَلَاةً بِغَيْرِ طُهُورٍ وَلَا صَدَقَةً مِنْ غُلُولٍ وَقَدْ كُنْتَ عَلَى الْبَصْرَةِ يَعْنِي عَامِلًا

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "A person is with the one they love."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ الْعَبْدُ مَعَ مَنْ أَحَبَّ

"I heard the Messenger of Allah say: 'Woe to the Achilles' tendon because of Hell-fire." (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 454)

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ وَيْلٌ لِلْعَرَاقِيبِ مِنَ النَّارِ

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "Allah said: 'Do not take My servants as idols.'"

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ قَالَ اللهُ لَا تُمَثِّلُوا بِعِبَادِي

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "Glorify the One with ultimate Majesty and Honor."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ أَلِظُّوا بِيَا ذَا الْجَلَالِ وَالْإِكْرَامِ

[AI] Amr ibn al-As gave gifts to some people, and he showed preference to Ammar ibn Yasir. It was said to him (asked why he did so), and he replied, 'I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, “The rebellious group will kill him.”'

أَنَّ عَمْرَو بْنَ الْعَاصِ أَهْدَى إِلَى نَاسٍ هَدَايَا فَفَضَّلَ عَمَّارَ بْنَ يَاسِرٍ فَقِيلَ لَهُ فَقَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ تَقْتُلُهُ الْفِئَةُ الْبَاغِيَةُ

There is (at times) some sort of shade upon my heart, and I seek forgiveness from Allah a hundred times a day. (Using translation from Muslim 2702a)

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ إِنَّهُ لَيُغَانُ عَلَى قَلْبِي حَتَّى أَسْتَغْفِرَ اللهَ مِائَةَ مَرَّةٍ

I heard the Prophet, saying, "I am your predecessor at the Lake-Fount. (Al-Kauthar) . (Using translation from Bukhārī 6589)

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ أَنَا فَرَطُكُمْ عَلَى الْحَوْضِ

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: "The Khawarij are the dogs of the Hellfire."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ الْخَوَارِجُ هُمْ كِلَابُ النَّارِ

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "O Allah, to You be abundant, pure, and blessed praise."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺيَقُولُ اللهُمَّ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ كَثِيرًا طَيِّبًا مُبَارَكًا فِيهِ

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "Indeed, Allah does not show mercy to those who do not show mercy to people."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ إِنَّ اللهَ ﷻ لَا يَرْحَمُ مَنْ لَا يَرْحَمُ النَّاسَ

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "Only a stray person will shelter another stray."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ لَا يُؤْوِي الضَّالَّةَ إِلَّا ضَالٌّ

" That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: He who shows no mercy to the people, Allah, the Exalted and Glorious, does not show mercy to him." (Using translation from Muslim 2319a)

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَنْ لَا يَرْحَمِ النَّاسَ لَا يَرْحَمْهُ اللهُ ﷻ

" That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: He who shows no mercy to the people, Allah, the Exalted and Glorious, does not show mercy to him." (Using translation from Muslim 2319a)

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَنْ لَا يَرْحَمِ النَّاسَ لَا يَرْحَمْهُ اللهُ ﷻ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Woe to him who tells things, speaking falsely, to make people laugh thereby. Woe to him! Woe to him!. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4990)

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ وَيْلٌ لِلَّذِي يُحَدِّثُ الْقَوْمَ ثُمَّ يَكْذِبُ لِيُضْحِكَهُمْ وَيْلٌ لَهُ وَوَيْلٌ لَهُ

[AI] He heard the Prophet say in a house that Allah does not accept a prayer without purification or charity made from unlawful means.

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فِي بَيْتٍ يَقُولُ إِنَّ اللهَ لَا يَقْبَلُ صَلَاةً بِغَيْرِ طُهُورٍ وَلَا صَدَقَةً مِنْ غُلُولٍ

The Prophet ﷺ said: Allah does not accept charity from goods acquired by embezzlement as He does not accept prayer without purification. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 59)

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ تَوَضَّئُوا مِمَّا مَسَّتِ النَّارُ

the Messenger of Allah said: “Charity is not permissible for a rich person, or for one who is strong and healthy. ” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 1839)

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ لَا تَحِلُّ الصَّدَقَةُ لِغَنِيٍّ وَلَا لِذِي مِرَّةٍ سَوِيٍّ

I heard Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying: The tale-bearer shall not enter Paradise. (Using translation from Muslim 105a)

َقَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ لَا يَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ نَمَّامٌ

I heard Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying: The tale-bearer shall not enter Paradise. (Using translation from Muslim 105a)

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ لَا يَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ نَمَّامٌ

I heard the Prophet ﷺ saying, "A tale-bearer will not enter Jannah." (Using translation from Bukhārī 6056)

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ لَا يَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ قَتَّاتٌ

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ لَا يَحْتَكِرُ إِلَّا خَاطِئٌ

I heard Allah's Apostle ﷺ as saying. Every servant would be raised (in the same very state) in which he dies. (Using translation from Muslim 2878a)

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «يُبْعَثُ كُلُّ عَبْدٍ عَلَى مَا مَاتَ»

[AI] I heard the Prophet ﷺ saying, "Glorify and exalt the Lord of Majesty and Honor."

سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَقُولُ «أَلِظُّوا بِيَا ذَا الْجَلَالِ وَالْإِكْرَامِ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Glorify and honor with me, O Possessor of Glory and Generosity."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «أَلِظُّوا بِيَا ذَا الْجَلَالِ وَالْإِكْرَامِ»

“May Allah have mercy on the one who keeps watch over the troops.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 2769)

"I heard the Messenger of Allah say: 'Allah does not accept any prayer without purification, and He does not accept any charity from Ghulul.'" (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 273)
