I heard Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "If Allah wants to do good to a person, He makes him comprehend the religion. I am just a distributor, but the grant is from Allah. (And remember) that this nation (true Muslims) will keep on following Allah's teachings strictly and they will not be harmed by any one going on a different path till Allah's order (Day of Judgment) is established." (Using translation from Bukhārī 71)

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَنْ يُرِدِ اللَّهُ بِهِ خَيْرًا يُفَقِّهْهُ فِي الدِّينِ»

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَنْ يُرِدِ اللَّهُ بِهِ خَيْرًا يُفَقِّهْهُ فِي الدِّينِ»

My nephew, leave him for he defended Messenger of Allah ﷺ. (Using translation from Muslim 2487a)

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ»

[AI] Did you hear from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ? He said, "And I am preparing for."

سَمِعْتَ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ؟» فَقَالَ وَأَتَحَلَّلُ

This hadith has been narrated oif the authority of 'Adi b. Hatim through another chain of transmitters. (Using translation from Muslim 1929i)

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ مِثْلَ ذلكَ

Kurayb the freed slave of Ibn Abbas reported: Abdullah ibn Abbas saw Abdullah ibn al-Harith praying having the back knot of the hair. He stood behind him and began to untie it. He remained standing unmoved (stationary). When he finished his prayer he came to Ibn Abbas and said to him: What were you doing with my head? He said: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: A man who prays with the black knot of hair tied is the one praying pinioned. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 647)

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «إِنَّمَا مَثَلُ هَذَا كَمَثَلِ الَّذِي يُصَلِّي وَهُوَ مَكْتُوفٌ»

"I saw Sa'eed bin Jubari in Jam'.[1] He stood and prayed Maghrib, three Rak'ahs, then he stood and prayed 'Isha', two Rak'ahs. Then he mentioned that Ibn 'Umar had done the same thing in that place, and he mentioned that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ has done the same thing in that place. [1] Meaning Al-Muzdalifah. (Using translation from Nasāʾī 481)

«أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ صَنَعَ فِي ذَلِكَ الْمَكَانِ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ»

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "Indeed, in your wealth there is a right besides the obligatory charity (zakat)."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «إِنَّ فِي أَمْوَالِكُمْ حَقًّا سِوَى الزَّكَاةِ»

"I came to the Messenger of Allah" and he mentioned something similar. (Using translation from Nasāʾī 4176)

أَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ

"There is no fara' and no' Atirah." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 4222)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «لَا فَرَعَ وَلَا عَتِيرَةَ»

[AI] I asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about hunting with throwing arrows, so he mentioned something similar to it.

سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَنْ صَيْدِ الْمِعْرَاضِ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ

Why do you put on the lower garment in this way? He replied: It is how I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ do it. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4096)

«رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَأْكُلُهُ»

[AI] "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbidding blowing into drinks?" He said, "Yes."

سَمِعْتَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَنْهَى عَنِ النَّفْخِ فِي الشَّرَابِ؟ قَالَ «نَعَمْ»

“I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: ‘Prophecy is gone, but good dreams remain.’” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3896)

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «ذَهَبَتِ النُّبُوَّةُ وَبَقِيَتِ الْمُبَشِّرَاتُ»

[AI] The translation of the given Arabic phrase "نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَنِ التَّبَتُّلِ" into English is: "The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) forbade self-mutilation."

«نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَنِ التَّبَتُّلِ»

(Another chain) from Abu Sa'eed Al-Khudri, from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ with a similar report. (Using translation from Nasāʾī 568)

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ بِنَحْوِهِ

"I heard the Messenger of Allah say: 'The hand is not to be cut off for (stealing) produce or the spadix of palm trees."' (Using translation from Nasāʾī 4960)

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «لَا قَطْعَ فِي ثَمَرٍ وَلَا كَثَرٍ»

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "Only a wrongdoer hoards." (It was said) twice.

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «لَا يَحْتَكِرُ إِلَّا خَاطِئٌ» مَرَّتَيْنِ

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "A good deed is rewarded ten times its like."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «الْحَسَنَةُ بِعَشْرِ أَمْثَالِهَا»

[AI] He was asked about a child born out of wedlock who dies. He said, "If he is the son of an Arab woman, his mother inherits one-third, and the remainder of his wealth is placed in the public treasury. If he is the son of a freedwoman, his mother inherits one-third, and those who freed her inherit the rest." Marwan said, "And I heard Malik say that."

سُئِلَ عَنْ وَلَدِ زِنَا يَمُوتُ قَالَ «إِنْ كَانَ ابْنَ عَرَبِيَّةٍ وَرِثَتْ أُمُّهُ الثُّلُثَ وَجُعِلَ بَقِيَّةُ مَالِهِ فِي بَيْتِ الْمَالِ وَإِنْ كَانَ ابْنَ مَوْلَاةٍ وَرِثَتْ أُمُّهُ الثُّلُثَ وَوَرِثَ مَوَالِيهَا الَّذِينَ أَعْتَقُوهَا مَا بَقِيَ» قَالَ مَرْوَانُ وَسَمِعْتُ مَالِكًا «يَقُولُ ذَلِكَ»

[AI] She heard the Prophet ﷺ saying, "Breaking the bone of a dead person is like breaking the bone of a living one."

أَنَّهَا سَمِعَتِ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَقُولُ إِنَّ كَسْرَ عَظْمِ الْمَيِّتِ مَيْتًا كَمِثْلِ كَسْرِهِ حَيًّا

Hafsa (Allah be pleased with her) reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ kissed (his wives) while fasting. (Using translation from Muslim 1107a)

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُقَبِّلُ وَهُوَ صَائِمٌ

[AI] The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ kissed her while he was fasting.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَبَّلَهَا وَهُوَ صَائِمٌ

"Geckos are vermin." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2886)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ الْوَزَغُ فُوَيْسِقٌ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to kiss while he was fasting.

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُقَبِّلُ وَهُوَ صَائِمٌ

[AI] "While the Messenger of Allah ﷺ mentioned its meaning with us."

بَيْنَمَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

"Perform Wudu' from that which has been heated with fire." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 178)

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ تَوَضَّئُوا مِمَّا مَسَّتِ النَّارُ

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ mention something similar.

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ

[AI] She heard the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , saying while he was on the pulpit: "There is nothing more capricious than Allah."

أَنَّهَا سَمِعَتْ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ وَهُوَ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ مَا شَيْءٌ أَغْيَرَ مِنَ اللهِ ﷻ

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , saying while he was on the pulpit: "There is nothing more constant than Allah."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ وَهُوَ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ إِنَّهُ لَا شَيْءَ أَغْيَرُ مِنَ اللهِ ﷻ

[AI] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ addressed us and mentioned something similar."

خَطَبَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said in my house, so he mentioned its meaning.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فِي بَيْتِي فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

(From the daughter of Khalid bin Sa id bin Al-ʿAsi) who said that she had heard the Prophet ﷺ seeking refuge with Allah from the punishment in the grave. (Using translation from Bukhārī 1376)

أَنَّهَا سَمِعَتْ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَتَعَوَّذُ مِنْ عَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ

[AI] I heard the Prophet ﷺ saying something similar to that.

سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَقُولُ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ

“I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: ‘Prophecy is gone, but good dreams remain.’” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3896)

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ وَقَالَ سُفْيَانُ مَرَّةً إِنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ ذَهَبَتِ النُّبُوَّةُ وَبَقِيَتِ الْمُبَشِّرَاتُ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed for us and mentioned us.

صَلَّى بِنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَهُ

"No one hoards but a sinner."' (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 2154)

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ لَا يَحْتَكِرُ إِلَّا خَاطِئٌ

[AI] His mother came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "So he mentioned its meaning with us."

أَنَّ أُمَّهُ أَتَتْ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

Abdullah ibn AbuBakr reported that he heard Urwah say: I entered upon Marwan ibn al-Hakam. We mentioned things that render the ablution void. Marwan said: Does it become void by touching the penis? Urwah replied: This I do not know. Marwan said: Busrah daughter of Safwan reported to me that she heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: He who touches his penis should perform ablution. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 181)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ مَسَّ ذَكَرَهُ فَلَا يُصَلِّ حَتَّى يَتَوَضَّأَ

[AI] "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, 'Indeed, the punishment of this Ummah (nation) has been placed in its worldly life.'"

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «إِنَّ عَذَابَ هَذِهِ الْأُمَّةِ جُعِلَ فِي دُنْيَاهَا»

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "The punishment of my ummah (nation) is in this world."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «عَذَابُ أُمَّتِي فِي دُنْيَاهَا»

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Witr (the nightly odd numbered prayer) is a right (that it should be performed)." Then the narrated something similar.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «الْوِتْرُ حَقٌّ» فَذَكَرَهُ بِنَحْوِهِ

I heard Allah's Apostle ﷺ as saying. Every servant would be raised (in the same very state) in which he dies. (Using translation from Muslim 2878a)

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «يُبْعَثُ كُلُّ عَبْدٍ عَلَى مَا مَاتَ»

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "The morning prayer at its prescribed time expiates for sins committed between it and the previous evening prayer."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «وَصَبُ الْمُؤْمِنِ كَفَّارَةٌ لِخَطَايَاهُ»

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "The thankful eater is like the patient fasting person."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «الطَّاعِمُ الشَّاكِرُ مِثْلُ الصَّائِمِ الصَّابِرِ»

[AI] The translation of the given Arabic sentence is: "That the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, fasted and then broke his fast."

«أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَاءَ فَأَفْطَرَ»

“I asked Jabir bin ‘Abdullah about hyenas: ‘Are they game (that can be hunted)?’ He said: ‘Yes.’ I said: ‘Can I eat them?’ He said: ‘Yes.’ I said: ‘Is this something that you heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ?’ He said: ‘Yes.’” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3236)

قُلْتُ أَيُؤْكَلُ الضَّبُعُ؟ قَالَ «نَعَمْ» قُلْتُ أَصَيْدٌ هِيَ؟ قَالَ أَسَمِعْتَهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ؟ قَالَ «نَعَمْ»

The same as No. 290. from the Prophet. (Using translation from Bukhārī 1199b)

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَحْوَهُ

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbidding the sale of water, on the condition of being a Muslim.

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ «يَنْهَى عَنْ بَيْعِ الْمَاءِ» على شرط مسلم

The same as No. 290. from the Prophet. (Using translation from Bukhārī 1199b)

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَحْوَهُ

"Aishah told me that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'There is no divorce and no manumission at the time of coercion.' " (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 2046)

أَنَّهَا سَمِعَتْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «لَا طَلَاقَ وَلَا عَتَاقَ فِي إِغْلَاقٍ»
