عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ

وَقَالَ هَكَذَا رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ تَوَضَّأَ

[AI] Regarding Al-Hasan and Ata' similar to that.

عَنِ الْحَسَنِ وَعَطَاءٍ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ

[AI] "About someone like that, who is intoxicated."

عَنْ مَكْحُولٍ مِثْلُ ذَلِكَ

عَنْ عَائِشَةَ مِثْلُ ذَلِكَ

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "Indeed, in your wealth there is a right besides the obligatory charity (zakat)."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «إِنَّ فِي أَمْوَالِكُمْ حَقًّا سِوَى الزَّكَاةِ»

“I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: ‘Prophecy is gone, but good dreams remain.’” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3896)

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «ذَهَبَتِ النُّبُوَّةُ وَبَقِيَتِ الْمُبَشِّرَاتُ»

A similar tradition has also been narrated by Anas from the Prophet ﷺ through a different chain of narrators. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 390)

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ بِمِثْلِ هَذَا

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "A good deed is rewarded ten times its like."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «الْحَسَنَةُ بِعَشْرِ أَمْثَالِهَا»

[AI] He was asked about a child born out of wedlock who dies. He said, "If he is the son of an Arab woman, his mother inherits one-third, and the remainder of his wealth is placed in the public treasury. If he is the son of a freedwoman, his mother inherits one-third, and those who freed her inherit the rest." Marwan said, "And I heard Malik say that."

سُئِلَ عَنْ وَلَدِ زِنَا يَمُوتُ قَالَ «إِنْ كَانَ ابْنَ عَرَبِيَّةٍ وَرِثَتْ أُمُّهُ الثُّلُثَ وَجُعِلَ بَقِيَّةُ مَالِهِ فِي بَيْتِ الْمَالِ وَإِنْ كَانَ ابْنَ مَوْلَاةٍ وَرِثَتْ أُمُّهُ الثُّلُثَ وَوَرِثَ مَوَالِيهَا الَّذِينَ أَعْتَقُوهَا مَا بَقِيَ» قَالَ مَرْوَانُ وَسَمِعْتُ مَالِكًا «يَقُولُ ذَلِكَ»

[AI] I entered the mosque in Damascus and saw people gathered and a sheikh speaking to them. I asked, "Who is this?" They said, "He is Sahl ibn al-Hanzaliyyah." I heard him saying, "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, 'Whoever eats meat, let him perform ablution.'"

دَخَلْتُ مَسْجِدَ دِمَشْقَ فَرَأَيْتُ أُنَاسًا مُجْتَمِعِينَ وَشَيْخًا يُحَدِّثُهُمْ قُلْتُ مَنْ هَذَا؟ قَالُوا سَهْلُ ابْنُ الْحَنْظَلِيَّةِ فَسَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَنْ أَكَلَ لَحْمًا فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ

[AI] "From the Prophet, ﷺ , a similar example."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ مِثْلَهُ

[AI] "About the Prophet ﷺ , something similar to him."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ مِثْلَهُ

[AI] This passage is already in Arabic and it translates to: "About the Prophet, ﷺ , with the like of him."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ بِمِثْلِهِ

[AI] "Regarding the Prophet ﷺ, his likeness..."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ مِثْلَهُ

[AI] "From the Prophet, ﷺ , something like him."

[AI] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said the likes of it."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ مِثْلَهُ

[AI] "About the Prophet ﷺ , something similar to him."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ مِثْلَهُ

[AI] About Salman, like that.

عَنْ سَلْمَانَ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ

I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say. . . He then mentioned the tradition to the same effect. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4492)

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] From the Prophet ﷺ , a similar example.

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ مِثْلَهُ

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "Breaking the bone of a believer after their death is the same as breaking it while they are alive."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ إِنَّ كَسْرَ عَظْمِ الْمُؤْمِنِ مَيْتًا مِثْلُ كَسْرِ عَظْمِهِ حَيًّا

[AI] "From the Prophet ﷺ, a similar example."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ مِثْلَهُ

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ mention something similar.

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ

[AI] This translates to: "On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ, something similar to him."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ مِثْلَهُ

[AI] About the Prophet, ﷺ , like him.

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ مِثْلَهُ

[AI] I heard the Prophet ﷺ saying something similar to that.

سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ يَقُولُ «هَكَذَا رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَصْنَعُ»
