When I woke up, my dream bothered me, so I asked Hafsah about it. She said, "Yes, what did you see?" So I said, "Ask the Prophet ﷺ about it." "I had a dream of a cloud with shade dripping butter and honey. I saw the people scooping it up with their hands, some taking much and some taking little. I saw a rope extending from the sky to the earth. Then I saw you O Messenger of Allah ! You took hold of it and went up, then a man took hold of it after you do so, then a man took hold of it after him to do so. Then a man took hold of it and it was severed, and then connected for him, and he did so (i.e. , went up)." Abu Bakr said: "May my father and mother be ransomed for you O Messenger of Allah! Allow me to interpret it." He said: "Interpret it." so he said: "As for the cloud with its shade, it is Islam. As for what the butter and honey that dropped from it, this is the Quran and its delicateness and sweetness. It means some of them gathered much of the Quran and some of them a little. As for the rope extending from the sky to the earth, it is the truth which you are upon, you clug to it and Allah exalted you. Then another man will take hold of it after you and ascend on it, then after him, another man will take hold of it and ascend on it. Then another [man] will take hold of it but it will break, then be connected so he will ascend on it. Inform me O Messenger of Allah! Am I correct or am I mistaken?" The Prophet ﷺ said: "You are correct in some of it and mistaken in some of it." He (i.e., Abu Bakr) said: "I swear to you by my father and my mother O Messenger of Allah! Inform me in what I was mistaken?" The Prophet ﷺ said: "Do not swear." (Using translation from Tirmidhī 2293)

[Machine] It seemed as if the sun or the moon was suspended on the Earth, with strong chains. Abu Ja'far had doubts about it, so he mentioned that to the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him. The Prophet replied, "That is the death of your nephew, meaning the Messenger of Allah himself."

“In a dream I saw myself emigrating from Makkah to a land in which there were date-palm trees, and I thought that it was Yamamah or Hajar, but it was Al-Madinah, Yathrib. And I saw in this dream of mine that I was wielding a sword then it broke in the middle. That was what befell the believers on the Day of Uhud. Then I wielded it again and it was better than it had been before, and that is what Allah brought about of the Conquest and the regrouping of the believers. And I also saw cows, and by Allah it is good, for they are the group of the believers (who were martyred) on the Day of Uhud, and the goodness is that which Allah brought forth after that, and the reward of the truth which Allah brought us on the Day of Badr.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3921)

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I saw as if I were in a fortified shield and I saw a cow being slaughtered. I interpreted the shield to be Madinah and the cow to be a group of people. By Allah, they are better off if we confront them when they enter upon us." They said, "By Allah, they have never entered upon us during the pre-Islamic times. Will they then enter upon us during Islam?" He said, "That is your concern then." Some of the Ansar said to each other, "We will discuss the Prophet's ﷺ matter in his presence." So they went to him and said, "O Messenger of Allah, what is your opinion?" He said, "Now, if a prophet wears an armor for his people, he should not take it off until he fights."

[Machine] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ, he said one day, "Indeed, I saw in a dream that a man came to me with a bunch of dates, and I ate them. Then I found a seed in them that harmed me when I chewed it. Then he gave me another bunch of dates." So I said, "When I ate what you gave me, I found a seed in it that harmed me." Abu Bakr said, "Your eyes found sleep, O Messenger of Allah. This is the secret mission that you sent, both of which they captured, and they found a man seeking your protection. So I said to Mujalid, 'What is he seeking your protection for?' He said, 'He says, "There is no god but Allah".'"

[Machine] Narrated Aisha, the wife of the Prophet: "There was a woman from the people of Medina who had a merchant husband. They used to have disputes, and whenever her husband was absent, she would see a dream. Every time he was away, she would see in her dream that the roof of her house had collapsed and that she had given birth to a male child who was blind in one eye. So, she would come to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and say, 'My husband has gone out as a merchant, and he has left me behind while I am pregnant. I have seen in my dream what a sleeper sees.?' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ would say: 'Good, it will be as you have seen it,' and she would return to her house. Indeed, her husband would return to her, and she would give birth to a male child who was blind in one eye. This happened two or three times, and every time she would see the dream, she would come to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and tell him about it. Once, she came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while he was absent, and she had seen the dream. She said to me, 'What do you advise me to do? Should I ask the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about it?' I said, 'Yes.' So, when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came, she told him about it. He said to her, 'What is your desired outcome?' She replied, 'By Allah, if your interpretation is true, my husband will die and I will give birth to a male child who will eventually become evil.' Then, she started weeping. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered the room while she was weeping and asked her what was wrong. She told him what she had said and how she had interpreted the dream. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'O Aisha, tell her that when you see a dream, it is either about what you have seen or about what the person who sees it interprets it to be. Her husband will die, and by Allah, she will give birth to a male child who will eventually become evildoer.'
