12. Chapter of Zay (Male)
١٢۔ بَابُ الزَّايِ
the Prophet ﷺ passed judgement on the basis of an oath (from the claimant) along with a (single) witness. (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 2369)
«أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَضَى بِالْيَمِينِ مَعَ الشَّاهِدِ»
[Machine] "That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited what is between the garment and the body."
Note: The passage refers to a saying or teaching of the Prophet Muhammad, indicating that he forbade wearing clothing that tightly clings to the body.
«أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ حَرَّمَ مَا بَيْنَ لَابَتَيْهَا»
[Machine] He entered the market and caught a bird with his net. Zaid bin Thabit said, "Leave it alone, don't you know that the Prophet ﷺ prohibited hunting birds between their nests?"
أَنَّهُ دَخَلَ الْأَسْوَاقَ فَاصْطَادَ بِهَا نَهْسًا يَعْنِي طَائِرًا فَقَالَ زَيْدُ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ خَلِّ سَبِيلَهُ لَا أُمَّ لَكَ أَمَا عَلِمْتَ «أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ حَرَّمَ صَيْدَ طَيْرِ مَا بَيْنَ لَابَتَيْهَا»
[Machine] "That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited what is between the two Haras of Al-Madinah, meaning what is between its two boundaries."
«أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ حَرَّمَ مَا بَيْنَ لَابَتَيْ الْمَدِينَةِ» يَعْنِي مَا بَيْنَ حَرَّتَيْهَا
