12. Chapter of Zay (Male)
١٢۔ بَابُ الزَّايِ
[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "If Allah were to punish the inhabitants of His heavens and earth, He would have punished them without being unjust to them. And if He were to have mercy on them, His mercy would be better for them than their own actions. And if the equivalent of Mount Uhud of gold were to be spent in the cause of Allah, it would not be accepted from you until you believe in destiny, all of it and that whatever has afflicted you was not going to miss you, and whatever has missed you was not going to afflict you. And if you were to die in any other state than this, you would enter the Hellfire."
سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «لَوْ أَنَّ اللهَ عَذَّبَ أَهْلَ سَماَوَاتِهِ وَأَرْضَهِ لَعَذَّبَهُمْ وَهُوَ غَيْرُ ظَالِمٍ لَهُمْ وَلَوْ رَحِمَهُمْ كَانَتْ رَحْمَتُهُ خَيْرًا لَهُمْ مِنْ أَعْمَالِهِمْ وَلَوْ كَانَ جَبَلُ أُحُدٍ وَمِثْلُ أُحُدٍ ذَهَبًا تُنْفِقُهُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ مَا تَقَبَّلَ اللهُ مِنْكَ حَتَّى تُؤْمِنَ بِالْقَدَرِ كُلَّهِ وَتَعْلَمَ أَنَّ مَا أَصَابَكَ لَمْ يَكُنْ لِيُخْطِئَكَ وَأَنَّ مَا أَخْطَأَكَ لَمْ يَكُنْ لِيُصِيبَكَ وأَنَّكَ إِنْ مُتَّ عَلَى غَيْرِ هَذَا دَخَلْتَ النَّارَ»
"The Messenger of Allah said: 'Umra (a gift given for life) is for the heir.'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 3716)
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «الْعُمْرَى لِلْوَارِثِ»
[Machine] "That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ determined that Al-ʿUmarah would be the life and death of the Mu'ammar."
«أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَضَى فِي الْعُمْرَى أَنَّهَا لِلْمُعَمَّرِ حَيَاتَهُ وَمَوْتَهُ»
The Prophet ﷺ said: If anyone gives something in life-tenancy, it belongs to the one to whom it is given, in his life and after his death; and do not give property to go to the survivor, for if anyone gives something to to to the survivor, it belongs to him. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 3559)
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مَنْ أَعْمَرَ شَيْئًا فَهُوَ لِمُعَمَّرِهِ مَحْيَاهُ وَمَمَاتَهُ لَا تُرْقِبُوا شَيْئًا فَمَنْ أَرْقَبَ شَيْئًا فَهُوَ سَبِيلُهُ»
the Prophet ﷺ ruled that a gift given for life belongs to the heirs (of the recipient). (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 2381)
«أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ جَعَلَ الْعُمْرَى لِلْوَارِثِ»
[Machine] "The Prophet ﷺ decided that Umrah is permissible."
«أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَضَى فِي الْعُمْرَى أَنَّهَا جَائِزَةٌ»
The Prophet ﷺ as saying: Life tenancy is permissible. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 3548)
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «الْعُمْرَى جَائِزَةٌ»
The Prophet ﷺ said: If anyone gives something in life-tenancy, it belongs to the one to whom it is given, in his life and after his death; and do not give property to go to the survivor, for if anyone gives something to to to the survivor, it belongs to him. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 3559)
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مِنْ أَعْمَرَ عُمْرَى فَهِيَ لَهُ مَحْيَاهُ وَمَمَاتَهُ لَا تُرْقِبُوا شَيْئًا فَمَنْ أَرْقَبَ شَيْئًا فَهُوَ سَبِيلُ الْمِيرَاثِ»
"Abdul-Jabbar bin Al-'Ala' narrated to us, he said: 'Sufyan narrated to us from Ibn Abi Najih, from Tawus, and perhaps it is from Ibn 'Abbas, who said: There is no Ruqba, and whoever gives a gift on the basis of Ruqba, it is part of his estate.'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 3708)
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَا تُرْقِبُوا فَمَنْ أَرْقَبُ شَيْئًا فَسَبِيلُ الْمِيرَاثِ»
[Machine] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ who said, "Hajj is the journey of inheritance."
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «الْعُمْرَى سَبِيلُهَا سَبِيلُ الْمِيرَاثِ»
[Machine] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ who said, "Al-'Umra and ar-Ruqba are the means to inheritance."
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «الْعُمْرَى وَالرُّقْبَى سَبِيلُهَا سَبِيلُ الْمِيرَاثِ»
"The Messenger of Allah said: 'Umra (a gift given for life) is part of the estate.'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 3715)
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «الْعُمْرَى سَبِيلُهَا سَبِيلُ الْمِيرَاثِ»
قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «الْعُمْرَى مِيرَاثٌ»
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , said, "The 'umrah is for the heir" or he said, "Its (reward) is the same as the reward of inheritance."
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «الْعُمْرَى لِلْوَارِثِ» أَوْ قَالَ «سَبِيلُهَا سَبِيلُ الْمِيرَاثِ»
The Prophet ﷺ as saying: Life tenancy is permissible. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 3548)
