[Machine] That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Jibril came to me and said, 'Command your companions to recite the Talbiyah aloud, as it is one of the symbols of Hajj.' Zaid ibn Khalid was not mentioned."  

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ أَتَانِي جِبْرِيلُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ فَقَالَ مُرْ أَصْحَابَكَ أَنْ يَجْهَرُوا بِالتَّلْبِيَةِ فَإِنَّهَا مِنْ شِعَارِ الْحَجِّ وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ زَيْدَ بْنَ خَالِدٍ  

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ was invited to a funeral to lead the prayer for the deceased. He said, "Indeed, your companion struggled in the cause of Allah."  

دُعِيَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ لِجِنَازَةٍ يُصَلِّي عَلَيْهَا فَقَالَ «إِنَّ صَاحِبَكُمْ غَلَّ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ»  

[Machine] He informed him that he heard Zaid bin Khalid Al-Juhani saying, "We were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in Khaybar when a brave man died and the Prophet ﷺ did not offer funeral prayer for him. So they went to look at his belongings and found in it two Jewish necklaces equivalent to two dirhams."  

أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ زَيْدَ بْنَ خَالِدٍ الْجُهَنِيَّ يَقُولُ «كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ بِخَيْبَرَ فَمَاتَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَشْجَعَ فَلَمْ يُصَلِّ عَلَيْهِ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فَذَهَبُوا يَنْظُرُونَ فِي مَتَاعِهِ فَوَجَدُوا فِيهِ خَرَزاتٍ مِنْ خَرَزِ يَهُودٍ يُسَاوِي دِرْهَمَيْنِ»  

[Machine] Al-Qa'abi narrated from Malik who narrated from Abu Yazid al-Qaraatisi who narrated from Abdullah ibn al-Hakam who narrated from Bakr ibn Sahl who narrated from Abdullah ibn Yusuf who said: "I am Malik who narrates from Yahya ibn Sa'id who narrates from Muhammad ibn Yahya ibn Habban who narrates from Abu 'Umarah al-Ansari that Zaid ibn Khalid al-Juhani informed him that a man died on the day of Khaybar, and they mentioned him to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Zaid claimed that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Pray for your companion.' He said that the faces of the people changed due to this. Zaid claimed that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Indeed, your companion has been elevated in the way of Allah.' He said that they opened his belongings and found two Jewish beads worth two dirhams."  

ثنا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ عَنْ مَالِكٍ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو يَزِيدَ الْقَرَاطِيسِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الْحَكَمِ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ سَهْلٍ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ قَالُوا أَنَا مَالِكٌ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ حَبَّانَ عَنْ أَبِي عَمْرَةَ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ أَنَّ زَيْدَ بْنَ خَالِدٍ الْجُهَنِيَّ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ رَجُلًا تُوُفِّيَ يَوْمَ خَيْبَرَ وَأَنَّهُمْ ذَكَرُوهُ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَزَعَمَ زَيْدٌ أَنَّهُ قَالَ «صَلُّوا عَلَى صَاحِبِكُمْ» قَالَ فَتَغَيَّرَتْ وُجُوهُ الْقَوْمِ لِذَلِكَ فَزَعَمَ زَيْدٌ أَنَّهُ قَالَ «إِنَّ صَاحِبَكُمْ قَدْ غَلَّ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ» قَالَ فَفَتَحْنَا مَتَاعَهُ فَوَجَدْنَا خَرَزَاتٍ مِنْ خَرَزِ يَهُودٍ يُسَاوِينَ دِرْهَمَيْنِ  

A man from the Companions of the Prophet ﷺ died on the day of Khaybar. They mentioned the matter to the Messenger of Allah. He said: Offer prayer over your companion. When the faces of the people looked perplexed, he said: Your companion misappropriated booty in the path of Allah. We searched his belongings and found some Jewish beads not worth two dirhams. أَنَّ رَجُلًا مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ مِنْ أَشْجَعَ تُوُفِّيَ وَأَنَّهُمْ ذَكَرُوهُ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ «صَلُّوا عَلَى صَاحِبِكُمْ» فَتَغَيَّرَتْ وُجُوهُ الْقَوْمِ لِذَلِكَ فَلَمَّا رَأَى الَّذِي بِهِمْ قَالَ «إِنَّ صَاحِبَكُمْ غَلَّ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ» فَفَتَّشْنَا مَتَاعَهُ فَوَجَدْنَا خَرَزًا مِنْ خَرَزِ الْيَهُودٍ مَا يُسَاوِي دِرْهَمَيْنِ  

[Machine] A man from the companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ died, who was one of the bravest. They mentioned him to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he said, "Pray for your companion, for he strove in the cause of Allah." They searched his belongings and found a Jewish necklace worth two dirhams.
