I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying a hadith like that of Yunus.

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ مِثْلَ حَدِيثِ يُونُسَ

This hadith has been reported on the authority of Anas through another chain of transmitters.

سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ يَقُولُ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ

Abdullah ibn AbuBakr reported that he heard Urwah say: I entered upon Marwan ibn al-Hakam. We mentioned things that render the ablution void. Marwan said: Does it become void by touching the penis? Urwah replied: This I do not know. Marwan said: Busrah daughter of Safwan reported to me that she heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: He who touches his penis should perform ablution.

أَنَّهَا سَمِعَتْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَنْ مَسَّ ذَكَرَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ

"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Whoever touches his private part, let him perform Wudu'.'"

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ مَنْ مَسَّ فَرْجَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ

"I heard the Messenger of Allah say: 'Whoever touches his sexual organ then let him perform ablution."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَنْ مَسَّ فَرْجَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ

"I heard the Messenger of Allah say: 'Whoever touches his sexual organ, let him perform ablution.'"

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَنْ مَسَّ فَرْجَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ

أَنَّهَا سَمِعَتْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «يَتَوَضَّأُ الرَّجُلُ مِنْ مَسِّ الذَّكَرِ»

[AI] For whoever comes into contact with the genitalia of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , let them perform ablution, and for any woman who touches her private parts, let her perform ablution.

لِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَنْ مَسَّ ذَكَرَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ وَأَيُّمَا امْرَأَةٍ مَسَّتْ فَرْجَهَا فَلْتَتَوَضَّأْ

"I heard the Messenger of Allah say: 'Whoever touches his sexual organ then let him perform ablution." (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 481)

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَنْ مَسَّ فَرْجَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ

[AI] I heard the Prophet ﷺ saying something similar to that.

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying something similar to that.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ مَسَّ ذَكَرَهُ فَلَا يُصَلِّ حَتَّى يَتَوَضَّأَ

Yahya related to me from Malik from Zayd ibn Aslam that Sad al- Jari, the mawla of Umar ibn al-Khattab asked Abdullah ibn Umar about fish which had killed each other or which had died from severe cold . He said, "There is no harm in eating them.'' Sad said,' 'I then asked Abdullah ibn Amr ibn al As and he said the same."

سَأَلْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ عَنِ الْحِيتَانِ يَقْتُلُ بَعْضُهَا بَعْضًا أَوْ تَمُوتُ صَرَدًا فَقَالَ لَيْسَ بِهَا بَأْسٌ قَالَ سَعْدٌ ثُمَّ سَأَلْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ فَقَالَ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ

أَنَّهَا سَمِعَتْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «إِذَا مَسَّ أَحَدُكُمْ ذَكَرَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ»

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever touches his private parts, let him perform ablution." Urwah said, "I asked Busrah, and she verified it."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ مَسَّ فَرْجَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ» قَالَ عُرْوَةُ فَسَأَلْتُ بُسْرَةَ فَصَدَّقَتْهُ

"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Whoever touches his private part, let him perform Wudu'.'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 444)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «مَنْ مَسَّ فَرْجَهُ فَلْيُعِدِ الْوُضُوءَ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever touches his private parts should perform ablution (wudu) for prayer."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «مَنْ مَسَّ ذَكَرَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ وُضُوءَهُ لِلصَّلَاةِ»

[AI] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ, he said, "When one of you touches his private parts, then let him perform ablution, and the woman also likewise."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «إِذَا مَسَّ أَحَدُكُمْ فَرْجَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ وَالْمَرْأَةُ مِثْلُ ذَلِكَ»

قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ مَنْ مَسِّ فَرْجَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ

أَن النَّبِيّ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ مَسَّ فَرْجَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ

[AI] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ who said: "Perform ablution after touching the private parts." And perhaps he also said: "Whoever touches his private parts should perform ablution."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «تَتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ مَسِّ الذَّكَرِ» وَرُبَّمَا قَالَ «مَنْ مَسَّ ذَكَرَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ»

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever touches his private parts should perform ablution."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ مَسَّ فَرْجَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ»

"I heard the Messenger of Allah say: 'Whoever touches his sexual organ then let him perform ablution." (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 481)

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَنْ مَسَّ فَرْجَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever touches his private parts, let him perform ablution."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مَنْ مَسَّ ذَكَرَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ»

"I heard the Messenger of Allah say: 'Whoever touches his sexual organ, let him perform ablution.'" (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 482)

أَنَّهَا سَمِعَتْ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَنْ مَسَّ فَرْجَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ»

[AI] "The Prophet ﷺ said: 'Whoever touches his private parts should perform ablution.'"

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ مَسَّ ذَكَرَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ»

"I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: 'Perform Wudu' from that which has been touched by fire.'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 171)

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «تَوَضَّئُوا مِمَّا مَسَّتِ النَّارُ»

[AI] He heard Marwan say that Busrah bint Safwan informed me and said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'Whoever touches his private parts, let him perform ablution.'"

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ مَرْوَانَ يَقُولُ أَخْبَرَتْنِي بُسْرَةُ بِنْتُ صَفْوَانَ قَالَتْ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَنْ مَسَّ فَرْجَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ»

[AI] She heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "A man should perform ablution from touching his private parts."

أَنَّهَا سَمِعَتْ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «يَتَوَضَّأُ الرَّجُلُ مِنْ مَسِّ الذَّكَرِ»

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ مَسَّ ذَكَرَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ»

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever touches his private parts should perform ablution."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ مَسَّ ذَكَرَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ»

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever touches his private parts, let him perform ablution."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ مَسَّ ذَكَرَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ»

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ said, "A man should perform ablution from touching his private parts."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «يَتَوَضَّأُ الرَّجُلُ مِنْ مَسِّ الذَّكَرِ»

[AI] The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said, "Whoever touches his private parts should perform ablution."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ مَسَّ ذَكَرَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ»

[AI] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Whoever touches his private parts, let him perform ablution.'"

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ مَسَّ ذَكَرَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ»

"I heard the Messenger of Allah say: 'Whoever touches his sexual organ then let him perform ablution." (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 481)

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَنْ مَسَّ فَرْجَهُ فَلَا يُصَلِّي حَتَّى يَتَوَضَّأَ»

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying: "Whoever touches his private parts or his genitals or his buttocks, then he should perform ablution for prayer."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَنْ مَسَّ ذَكَرَهُ أَوْ أُنْثَيَيْهِ أَوْ رُفْغَيْهِ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ وُضُوءَهُ لِلصَّلَاةِ»

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever touches his private parts, let him perform ablution."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ مَسَّ ذَكَرَهُ أَوْ أُنْثَيَيْهِ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever touches his private parts should perform ablution for prayer."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مَنْ مَسَّ ذَكَرَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ وُضُوءَهُ لِلصَّلَاةِ»

"The Messenger of Allah said: 'If anyone of you touches his penis, let him perform ablution.'" (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 479)

أَنَّهَا سَمِعَتْ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «إِذَا مَسَّ أَحَدُكُمْ ذَكَرَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ»

[AI] I was with Mu‘āwiyah when his caller to prayer gave the adhān. Mu‘āwiyah repeated what the caller said, until when he said, “Come to prayer,” he said, “There is no might nor power except with Allah.” Then when he said, “Come to success,” he said, “There is no might nor power except with Allah.” After that, he repeated what the caller said, then said, “I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say that.”

إِنِّي عِنْدَ مُعَاوِيَةَ إِذْ أَذَّنَ مُؤَذِّنُهُ فَقَالَ مُعَاوِيَةُ كَمَا قَالَ الْمُؤَذِّنُ حَتَّى إِذَا قَالَ حَيَّ عَلَى الصَّلَاةِ قَالَ لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللهِ فَلَمَّا قَالَ حَيَّ عَلَى الْفَلَاحِ قَالَ لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللهِ وَقَالَ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ مَا قَالَ الْمُؤَذِّنُ ثُمَّ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ ذَلِكَ

[AI] If he wants to sleep or eat, then he should perform ablution, his ablution being for prayer.

أَنْ يَنَامَ أَوْ يَطْعَمَ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ وُضُوءَهُ لِلصَّلَاةِ»

[AI] Whoever touches their private parts should perform ablution, and if they only touch them from the outside of their clothing, then wudu is not required for them.

مَنْ مَسَّ فَرْجَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ وَمَنْ مَسَّهُ يَعْنِي مِنْ وَرَاءِ الثَّوْبِ فَلَيْسَ عَلَيْهِ وُضُوءٌ

[AI] Such as that.

"The Messenger of Allah said: 'If anyone of you touches his penis, let him perform ablution.'" (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 479)

"مَنْ أَفْضَى بِيَدِهِ إِلى ذَكَره فَليَتَوَضَّأ".

"عَنْ عُمَرَ قَالَ: مَنْ مَسَّ فَرْجَهُ فَليَتَوَضَّأ".

"عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ: مَنْ مَسَّ ذَكَرَهُ فَليَتَوَضَّأ".
