Abdullah ibn AbuBakr reported that he heard Urwah say: I entered upon Marwan ibn al-Hakam. We mentioned things that render the ablution void. Marwan said: Does it become void by touching the penis? Urwah replied: This I do not know. Marwan said: Busrah daughter of Safwan reported to me that she heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: He who touches his penis should perform ablution.

أَنَّهَا سَمِعَتْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَنْ مَسَّ ذَكَرَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ

"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Whoever touches his private part, let him perform Wudu'.'"

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ مَنْ مَسَّ فَرْجَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ

"I heard the Messenger of Allah say: 'Whoever touches his sexual organ then let him perform ablution."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَنْ مَسَّ فَرْجَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ

"I heard the Messenger of Allah say: 'Whoever touches his sexual organ, let him perform ablution.'"

[AI] For whoever comes into contact with the genitalia of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , let them perform ablution, and for any woman who touches her private parts, let her perform ablution.

لِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَنْ مَسَّ ذَكَرَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ وَأَيُّمَا امْرَأَةٍ مَسَّتْ فَرْجَهَا فَلْتَتَوَضَّأْ

"I heard the Messenger of Allah say: 'Whoever touches his sexual organ then let him perform ablution." (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 481)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ مَسَّ ذَكَرَهُ فَلَا يُصَلِّ حَتَّى يَتَوَضَّأَ

Yahya related to me from Malik from Hisham ibn Urwa that his father used to say, "If any of you touches his penis he has to do wudu."

أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَقُولُ مَنْ مَسَّ ذَكَرَهُ فَقَدْ وَجَبَ عَلَيْهِ الْوُضُوءُ

[AI] The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said, "Whoever touches his private parts should perform ablution." Uruwah disapproved, so he asked Busrah, who affirmed it.

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ مَسَّ ذَكَرَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ» فَأَنْكَرَ عُرْوَةُ فَسَأَلَ بُسْرَةَ فَصَدَّقَتْهُ

أَنَّهَا سَمِعَتْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «إِذَا مَسَّ أَحَدُكُمْ ذَكَرَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ»

[AI] The prophet, ﷺ , said: "When one of you touches their private part, they should perform ablution." Uruwah objected to this and asked Busrah, who confirmed it.

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «إِذَا مَسَّ أَحَدُكُمْ ذَكَرَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ» قَالَ فَأَنْكَرَ ذَلِكَ عُرْوَةُ فَسَأَلَ بُسْرَةَ فَصَدَّقَتْهُ

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever touches his private parts, let him perform ablution." Urwah said, "I asked Busrah, and she verified it."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ مَسَّ فَرْجَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ» قَالَ عُرْوَةُ فَسَأَلْتُ بُسْرَةَ فَصَدَّقَتْهُ

"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Whoever touches his private part, let him perform Wudu'.'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 444)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «مَنْ مَسَّ فَرْجَهُ فَلْيُعِدِ الْوُضُوءَ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever touches his private parts should perform ablution (wudu) for prayer."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «مَنْ مَسَّ ذَكَرَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ وُضُوءَهُ لِلصَّلَاةِ»

[AI] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ, he said, "When one of you touches his private parts, then let him perform ablution, and the woman also likewise."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «إِذَا مَسَّ أَحَدُكُمْ فَرْجَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ وَالْمَرْأَةُ مِثْلُ ذَلِكَ»

قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ مَنْ مَسِّ فَرْجَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ

أَن النَّبِيّ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ مَسَّ فَرْجَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ

[AI] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ who said: "Perform ablution after touching the private parts." And perhaps he also said: "Whoever touches his private parts should perform ablution."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «تَتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ مَسِّ الذَّكَرِ» وَرُبَّمَا قَالَ «مَنْ مَسَّ ذَكَرَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ»

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever touches his private parts should perform ablution."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ مَسَّ فَرْجَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ»

"I heard the Messenger of Allah say: 'Whoever touches his sexual organ then let him perform ablution." (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 481)

[AI] She heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "A man should perform ablution from touching his private parts."

[AI] The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said, "Whoever touches his private parts should perform ablution."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ مَسَّ ذَكَرَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ»

[AI] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Whoever touches his private parts, let him perform ablution.'"

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَنْ مَسَّ ذَكَرَهُ أَوْ أُنْثَيَيْهِ أَوْ رُفْغَيْهِ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ وُضُوءَهُ لِلصَّلَاةِ»

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever touches his private parts, let him perform ablution."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ مَسَّ ذَكَرَهُ أَوْ أُنْثَيَيْهِ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever touches his private parts should perform ablution for prayer."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مَنْ مَسَّ ذَكَرَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ وُضُوءَهُ لِلصَّلَاةِ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever touches their private parts, it is obligatory for them to perform ablution."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مَنْ مَسَّ فَرْجَهُ وَجَبَ عَلَيْهِ الْوُضُوءُ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever touches their private parts or their anus or their reproductive organs, should not pray until they perform ablution."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مَنْ مَسَّ رُفْغَهُ أَوْ أُنْثَيَيْهِ أَوْ ذَكَرَهُ فَلَا يُصَلِّي حَتَّى يَتَوَضَّأَ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever touches his private parts must perform ablution." Urwah said, "So I asked Busrah, and she confirmed it."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مَنْ مَسَّ ذَكَرَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ» قَالَ عُرْوَةُ فَسَأَلْتُ بُسْرَةَ فَصَدَّقَتْهُ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When one of you touches his private parts, let him perform ablution."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «إِذَا مَسَّ أَحَدُكُمْ ذَكَرَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ»

"The Messenger of Allah said: 'If anyone of you touches his penis, let him perform ablution.'" (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 479)

أَنَّهَا سَمِعَتْ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «إِذَا مَسَّ أَحَدُكُمْ ذَكَرَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ»

[AI] If he wants to sleep or eat, then he should perform ablution, his ablution being for prayer.

أَنْ يَنَامَ أَوْ يَطْعَمَ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ وُضُوءَهُ لِلصَّلَاةِ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever touches his private parts should perform ablution." Urwah narrated, "So I asked Busrah, and she confirmed it."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَنْ مَسَّ ذَكَرَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ قَالَ عُرْوَةُ فَسَأَلْتُ بُسْرَةَ فَصَدَّقَتْهُ

[AI] That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Whoever touches his private parts, then he must perform ablution."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ مَسَّ ذَكَرَهُ فَعَلَيْهِ الْوُضُوءُ

[AI] Whoever touches their private parts should perform ablution, and if they only touch them from the outside of their clothing, then wudu is not required for them.

مَنْ مَسَّ فَرْجَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ وَمَنْ مَسَّهُ يَعْنِي مِنْ وَرَاءِ الثَّوْبِ فَلَيْسَ عَلَيْهِ وُضُوءٌ

"The Messenger of Allah said: 'If anyone of you touches his penis, let him perform ablution.'" (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 479)

"إذَا مسَّ أحدُكُمْ ذكرهَ فليتوضَّأ".

"مَنْ أَفْضَى بِيَدِهِ إِلى ذَكَره فَليَتَوَضَّأ".

"عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ: مَنْ مَسَّ ذَكَرَهُ فَليَتَوَضَّأ".
