[Machine] I heard Muhammad ibn Abdullah ibn Numayr saying, "Khalid ibn al-Walid died in Hims in the year twenty-one."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was brought two roasted lizards, and Khalid ibn al-Walid was with him. The Prophet ﷺ desired to eat them, so it was said to him that they were lizards. He then grabbed them with his hand and Khalid ibn al-Walid said to him, "Is it forbidden, O Messenger of Allah?" He replied, "No, but they are not found in my people's land, so I find them delicious." Khalid then ate, while the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was watching him.
It is a lizard. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ raised his hand. I (Khalid) asked: Is it forbidden, Messenger of Allah? He replied, No, but it is not found in the land of my people, so I find it distasteful. Khalid said: I then pulled it and ate it while The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was seeing. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 3794)
Messenger of Allah, it is a lizard. Messenger of Allah ﷺ withdrew his hand, whereupon Khalid b. Walid said: Messenger of Allah, is a lizard forbidden? There opon he said: No, but it is not found in the land of my people, and I feel that I have no liking for it. Khalid said: I then chewed and ate it, and Messenger of Allah ﷺ was looking at me and he did not forbid (me to eat it). (Using translation from Muslim 1946a)
“O Messenger of Allah, it is the flesh of a mastigure.” He took his hand away, and Khalid said to him: “O Messenger of Allah, is a mastigure unlawful?” He said: “No, but it is not found in my land and I find it distasteful.” He said: “Then Khalid bent over the mastigure and ate some of it, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was looking at him.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3241)

[Machine] Um Hufaid gave Ma'imunah a piece of gazelle meat. The Prophet ﷺ entered, so she presented it to him. He would not eat food until he knew what it was. A woman said, "Inform the Prophet ﷺ of what this is." They said, "It is gazelle meat that Um Hufaid gave to Ma'imunah." The Prophet ﷺ intended to eat from it, but Hiram said, "Are you not in a state of consecration, O Messenger of Allah?" He said, "No, but I find myself weakened, and it is not the food of my people." Khalid said, "I ate it while sitting, and that did not bother me."

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) entered upon Maymunah and she presented to him a cooked goby fish with dates. Maymunah said, "Inform the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) before he eats." When he was informed, he withdrew his hand from it. They said, "Is it prohibited, O Messenger of Allah?" He said, "No, but I prefer to abstain from it." Khalid Ibn Al-Walid then made him try it and he ate it while the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) looked at him.
[Machine] Al-Qa'bi and Ibrahim bin Bashshar narrated that Sufyan bin 'Uyaynah narrated from 'Amr bin Dinar, who narrated from Abu Najih, who narrated from Khalid bin Hakim bin Hizam, who said: Abu 'Ubaidah bin al-Jarrah approached a man from the people of the land and spoke to him. Khalid bin al-Walid was asked, "Did the commander get angry?" He said, "I did not intend to make him angry, but I heard the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , saying, 'The people who will receive the severest punishment on the Day of Resurrection will be those who inflict the severest punishment on others in this world.'"

The Messenger of Allah said to Abu 'Ubaidah bin Jarrah: "This is the trustworthy man of this Ummah." (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 136)
"It is not permissible to eat the flesh of horses, mules or donkeys." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 4331)
[Machine] I accompanied the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and the Jews came to complain to him that people were encroaching upon their lands. So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent me and I called out to the people, "Verily, prayer is mandatory and nobody will enter Paradise except a Muslim." When the people gathered, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood up and said, "Why did the Jews complain that you have encroached upon their lands? Know that it is not permissible to take the wealth of the treaty people unlawfully. It is forbidden for you to use their riding animals or belongings, and every creature with fangs from the wild beasts and every creature with claws from the birds is prohibited."
[Machine] "Narrated by the Prophet ﷺ , he said: 'Behold! Let not a man recline on his couch and say, "We have found in the Book of Allah what is permissible, so we make it lawful, and what is forbidden, so we make it prohibited." Verily, I impose on you the prohibition of the property of the treaty allies.'" - Hadith.

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , said "O Khalid, announce to the people that the congregational prayer is obligatory and no one will enter Paradise except a Muslim soul." Then he left and performed the prayer with the migrants.
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "O Khalid, announce to the people that prayer is obligatory, and no one enters paradise except a Muslim soul." Then he left and prayed with the migration (prayer).
[Machine] Khalid ibn Al-Walid sent me with the messenger of Allah ﷺ on a military expedition, and we encountered a group of people who professed their oneness in faith. 'Ammar said, "These people have captured us because of their belief in oneness." I did not pay attention to 'Ammar's words, but I said to myself, "Shall I not inform the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ?" When we arrived before the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , I complained to him. When the Prophet ﷺ saw that he was not seeking retribution from me, he turned away and his eyes were filled with tears. The Prophet ﷺ then said to me, "O Khalid, do not curse 'Ammar. Whoever curses 'Ammar, Allah will curse him, and whoever hates 'Ammar, Allah will hate him, and whoever regards 'Ammar as foolish, Allah will regard him as foolish." Khalid then said, "O Messenger of Allah, seek forgiveness for me, by Allah, nothing prevented me from loving him except my ridicule of him." Khalid said, "There is nothing more fearful in my sins in my eyes than my ridicule of 'Ammar."
[Machine] There was a conversation between 'Ammaar and Khalid ibn Al-Waleed, which Khalid ibn Al-Waleed complained about to the Prophet ﷺ . The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Indeed, whoever opposes 'Ammaar, Allah will oppose him, and whoever insults 'Ammaar, Allah will humiliate him." Shu'bah said: Salamah said something similar to this.
[Machine] I have not done a deed that is more frightening to me than the possibility of being admitted to the Fire because of what Ammar did. So we said, "O Abu Sulaiman, what did he do?" He said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent me with a group of his companions to a village in the Arabian Peninsula, and I encountered them. Among them were Muslim families. Ammar spoke to me about some of his companions and said, 'Send them.' I said, 'No, not until I bring them to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. If he wishes, he will send them, and if he wishes, he will deal with them as he pleases.' So I went to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and Ammar sought permission to enter and he was granted. He said, 'O Messenger of Allah, did you not see what Khalid did? He did such and such.' Khalid said, 'By Allah, if it were not for your meeting, Ibn Sumayyah would not have insulted me.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Leave, O Ammar.' So he left while he was crying. He said, 'The Messenger of Allah ﷺ did not support me against Khalid.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to me, 'Did you not answer the man?' So I said, 'O Messenger of Allah, I did not respond to him except because of his insignificance.' When I heard that, I started to approach Ammar until I met him. I apologized to him and asked what he held against me.

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Be kind to us and let us be beneath those who shelter us from the people." I saw a jug that had broken, and its water was being poured out. So, Umm Ayyub and I got a piece of cloth that we had and used it to dry the water with the intention that none of it would reach the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to harm him. We used to prepare food, and when there was something left over, we would sprinkle it with the sites of his fingers and eat from it, seeking blessings. He returned our hospitality one night and we put garlic or onions in it, but we did not see any trace of his finger marks in it. I mentioned to him what we used to do and what we saw. He said, "I found the smell of this tree on it, and I am a man who whispers (converses with Allah). I did not like the smell of me to be found on it. But as for you, eat it."
