TABARANI 3853: from Sālim b. ʿAbdullāh —

[Machine] I got married during my father’s lifetime, and my father gave people permission (invited them), and Abu Ayyub was among those we invited. They had screened my house with a green cloth. Abu Ayyub came, entered, and saw me standing. He looked and saw the house covered with a green cloth, and he said, “O ‘Abdullah, do you cover the walls?” My father spoke, feeling ashamed: “The women have overpowered us, O Abu Ayyub.” He said, “As for one who fears that women will overpower him—then I did not think that they would overpower you.” Then he said, “I will not eat your food, and I will not enter your house.” Then he left—may Allah have mercy on him.
