الطبراني:٣٨٥١حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْمَدِينِيُّ فُسْتُقَةُ ثنا دَاوُدُ بْنُ رُشَيْدٍ عَنِ الْهَيْثَمِ بْنِ عَدِيٍّ قَالَ

«هَلَكَ أَبُو أَيُّوبَ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ سَنَةَ خَمْسِينَ بِأَرْضِ الرُّومِ وَهُوَ غَازٍ مَعَ يَزِيدَ»
