Abdullah ibn AbuBakr reported that he heard Urwah say: I entered upon Marwan ibn al-Hakam. We mentioned things that render the ablution void. Marwan said: Does it become void by touching the penis? Urwah replied: This I do not know. Marwan said: Busrah daughter of Safwan reported to me that she heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: He who touches his penis should perform ablution.

أَنَّهَا سَمِعَتْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَنْ مَسَّ ذَكَرَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ

"When any one of you urinates, let him not hold his penis in his right hand."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا بَالَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلاَ يَأْخُذْ ذَكَرَهُ بِيَمِينِهِ

"When any one of you a wants to return (to have intercourse again), let him perform Wudu'."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا أَرَادَ أَحَدُكُمْ أَنْ يَعُودَ تَوَضَّأَ

"I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: 'When any one of you visits some people,he should not lead them in prayer."'

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ إِذَا زَارَ أَحَدُكُمْ قَوْمًا فَلاَ يُصَلِّيَنَّ بِهِمْ

"The Messenger of Allah said: 'If anyone of you touches his penis, let him perform ablution.'"

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِذَا مَسَّ أَحَدُكُمْ ذَكَرَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ

"The Messenger of Allah said: 'If anyone of you touches his penis, then he has to perform ablution.'"

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِذَا مَسَّ أَحَدُكُمْ ذَكَرَهُ فَعَلَيْهِ الْوُضُوءُ

"The Messenger of Allah said: 'If anyone of you has intercourse with his wife, then he wants to do it again, let him perform ablution.'"

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِذَا أَتَى أَحَدُكُمْ أَهْلَهُ ثُمَّ أَرَادَ أَنْ يَعُودَ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ

أَنَّهَا سَمِعَتْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «يَتَوَضَّأُ الرَّجُلُ مِنْ مَسِّ الذَّكَرِ»

[AI] "The Prophet ﷺ said: 'When one of you swears an oath, then mention it.'"

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا حَلَفَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَذَكَرَهُ

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "When the prayer is established, so he mentioned it."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ إِذَا أُقِيمَتِ الصَّلَاةُ فَذَكَرَهُ

[AI] The translation of the passage into English is: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'When one of you prays, he should mention its meaning.'"

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا صَلَّى أَحَدُكُمْ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "When one of you completes his prayer, then let him mention its meaning."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ إِذَا قَضَى أَحَدُكُمْ صَلَاتَهُ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say. . . He then mentioned the tradition to the same effect. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4492)

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "When one of you finishes a task, he should praise Allah for it."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ إِذَا قَضَى أَحَدُكُمْ فَذَكَرَهُ

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying: "When one of you shrouds his brother, then let him shroud him nicely, if he is able to."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ إِذَا كَفَّنَ أَحَدُكُمْ أَخَاهُ فَلْيُحْسِنْ كَفَنَهُ إِنْ اسْتَطَاعَ

[AI] He said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, 'When one of you performs Istinja (cleansing after using the toilet), he should wipe himself three times.'"

أَنَّهُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ إِذَا تَغَوَّطَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَمْسَحْ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "If one of you wants something from his wife, let him go to her, even if she is busy at the oven."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا أَرَادَ أَحَدُكُمْ مِنْ امْرَأَتِهِ حَاجَةً فَلْيَأْتِهَا وَلَوْ كَانَتْ عَلَى تَنُّورٍ

This hadith has been narrated on the authority of Zuhri with the same chain of transmitters. (Using translation from Muslim 2556c)

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "Modesty is all good." Then he mentioned the hadith.

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ الْحَيَاءُ خَيْرٌ كُلُّهُ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ

"I heard the Messenger of Allah say: 'Whoever touches his sexual organ then let him perform ablution." (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 481)

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When one of you wakes up in the morning and has not performed the Witr prayer, let them perform it."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «إِذَا أَصْبَحَ أَحَدُكُمْ وَلَمْ يُوتِرْ فَلْيُوتِرْ»

[AI] We were with Abu Hurairah when Hasan ibn Ali ibn Abi Talib came to us and greeted us with peace. We returned the greeting, but Abu Hurairah did not notice him. So we said to him, "O Abu Hurairah, Hasan ibn Ali greeted us with peace." He followed him and said, "And peace be upon you, my master." Then he said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'He is a master.'"

كُنَّا مَعَ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ فَجَاءَ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ عَلَيْنَا فَسَلَّمَ فَرَدَدْنَا عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامَ وَلَمْ يَعْلَمْ بِهِ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ فَقُلْنَا لَهُ يَا أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ هَذَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ قَدْ سَلَّمَ عَلَيْنَا فَلَحِقَهُ وَقَالَ وَعَلَيْكَ السَّلَامُ يَا سَيِّدِي ثُمَّ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «إِنَّهُ سَيِّدٌ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever touches his private parts should perform ablution (wudu) for prayer."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «مَنْ مَسَّ ذَكَرَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ وُضُوءَهُ لِلصَّلَاةِ»

"The Messenger of Allah said: 'If anyone of you has intercourse with his wife, then he wants to do it again, let him perform ablution.'" (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 587)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «إِذَا مَسَّ أَحَدُكُمُ الْمَرْأَةَ فَأَرَادَ أَنْ يَعُودَ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ»

[AI] He heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying: "When any one of you wakes up from sleep, let him not touch his private parts with his right hand, nor clean himself with his right hand."

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «إِذَا بَالَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلَا يَمْسَحْ ذَكَرَهُ بِيَمِينِهِ وَلَا يَسْتَنْجِي بِيَمِينِهِ»

"I heard the Messenger of Allah say: 'Whoever touches his sexual organ then let him perform ablution." (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 481)

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَنْ مَسَّ فَرْجَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever touches his private parts, let him perform ablution."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مَنْ مَسَّ ذَكَرَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ»

[AI] She heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "A man should perform ablution from touching his private parts."

أَنَّهَا سَمِعَتْ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «يَتَوَضَّأُ الرَّجُلُ مِنْ مَسِّ الذَّكَرِ»

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever touches his private parts, let him perform ablution."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ مَسَّ ذَكَرَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ»

[AI] The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said, "Whoever touches his private parts should perform ablution."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ مَسَّ ذَكَرَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ»

[AI] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Whoever touches his private parts, let him perform ablution.'"

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ مَسَّ ذَكَرَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ»

[AI] I heard Urwah saying that Marwan sent a message to Busrah and asked her about this Hadith. She narrated that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When anyone of you touches their private parts, they should perform ablution."

سَمِعْتُ عُرْوَةَ يَقُولُ أَرْسَلَ مَرْوَانُ إِلَى بُسْرَةَ فَسَأَلَهَا عَنْ هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ فَحَدَّثَتْ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «إِذَا مَسَّ أَحَدُكُمْ ذَكَرَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ»

"I heard the Messenger of Allah say: 'Whoever touches his sexual organ then let him perform ablution." (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 481)

"The Messenger of Allah said: 'If anyone of you touches his penis, let him perform ablution.'" (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 479)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِذَا مَسَّ أَحَدُكُمْ ذَكَرَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "When one of you touches his private parts, or his female private parts, or his buttocks, then he should perform ablution (wudu)."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِذَا مَسَّ أَحَدُكُمْ ذَكَرَهُ أَوْ أُنْثَيَيْهِ أَوْ رُفْغَيْهِ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ»

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying: "Whoever touches his private parts or his genitals or his buttocks, then he should perform ablution for prayer."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَنْ مَسَّ ذَكَرَهُ أَوْ أُنْثَيَيْهِ أَوْ رُفْغَيْهِ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ وُضُوءَهُ لِلصَّلَاةِ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever touches his private parts should perform ablution for prayer."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مَنْ مَسَّ ذَكَرَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ وُضُوءَهُ لِلصَّلَاةِ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever touches their private parts or their anus or their reproductive organs, should not pray until they perform ablution."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مَنْ مَسَّ رُفْغَهُ أَوْ أُنْثَيَيْهِ أَوْ ذَكَرَهُ فَلَا يُصَلِّي حَتَّى يَتَوَضَّأَ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When one of you touches his private parts, let him perform ablution."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «إِذَا مَسَّ أَحَدُكُمْ ذَكَرَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ»

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "If one of you touches his private parts, then let him perform ablution."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «إِذَا مَسَّ أَحَدُكُمْ ذَكَرَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ»
