Abdullah ibn AbuBakr reported that he heard Urwah say: I entered upon Marwan ibn al-Hakam. We mentioned things that render the ablution void. Marwan said: Does it become void by touching the penis? Urwah replied: This I do not know. Marwan said: Busrah daughter of Safwan reported to me that she heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: He who touches his penis should perform ablution.

أَنَّهَا سَمِعَتْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَنْ مَسَّ ذَكَرَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ

"The Messenger of Allah said: 'If anyone of you touches his penis, let him perform ablution.'"

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِذَا مَسَّ أَحَدُكُمْ ذَكَرَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ

"The Messenger of Allah said: 'If anyone of you touches his penis, then he has to perform ablution.'"

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِذَا مَسَّ أَحَدُكُمْ ذَكَرَهُ فَعَلَيْهِ الْوُضُوءُ

أَنَّهَا سَمِعَتْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «يَتَوَضَّأُ الرَّجُلُ مِنْ مَسِّ الذَّكَرِ»

[AI] "The Prophet ﷺ said: 'When one of you swears an oath, then mention it.'"

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا حَلَفَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَذَكَرَهُ

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "When one of you completes his prayer, then let him mention its meaning."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ إِذَا قَضَى أَحَدُكُمْ صَلَاتَهُ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

When anyone wipes himself with pebbles (after answering the call of nature) he should do this odd number of times. (Using translation from Muslim 239)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا اسْتَجْمَرَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيُوتِرْ

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "When one of you finishes a task, he should praise Allah for it."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ إِذَا قَضَى أَحَدُكُمْ فَذَكَرَهُ

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying: "When one of you shrouds his brother, then let him shroud him nicely, if he is able to."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ إِذَا كَفَّنَ أَحَدُكُمْ أَخَاهُ فَلْيُحْسِنْ كَفَنَهُ إِنْ اسْتَطَاعَ

[AI] He said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, 'When one of you performs Istinja (cleansing after using the toilet), he should wipe himself three times.'"

أَنَّهُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ إِذَا تَغَوَّطَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَمْسَحْ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When one of you wakes up, let him rinse his mouth three times."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا بَالَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَنْتُرْ ذَكَرَهُ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ

I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say. . . He then mentioned the tradition to the same effect. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4492)

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ فَذَكَرَهُ

"I heard the Messenger of Allah say: 'Whoever touches his sexual organ then let him perform ablution." (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 481)

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever touches his private parts should perform ablution (wudu) for prayer."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «مَنْ مَسَّ ذَكَرَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ وُضُوءَهُ لِلصَّلَاةِ»

"The Messenger of Allah said: 'If anyone of you has intercourse with his wife, then he wants to do it again, let him perform ablution.'" (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 587)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «إِذَا مَسَّ أَحَدُكُمُ الْمَرْأَةَ فَأَرَادَ أَنْ يَعُودَ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ»

[AI] He heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying: "When any one of you wakes up from sleep, let him not touch his private parts with his right hand, nor clean himself with his right hand."

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «إِذَا بَالَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلَا يَمْسَحْ ذَكَرَهُ بِيَمِينِهِ وَلَا يَسْتَنْجِي بِيَمِينِهِ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "If one of you washes himself and then sees anything coming out from his private parts, he should perform ablution."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِذَا اغْتَسَلَ أَحَدُكُمْ ثُمَّ ظَهَرَ مِنْ ذَكَرِهِ شَيْءٌ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ»

"I heard the Messenger of Allah say: 'Whoever touches his sexual organ then let him perform ablution." (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 481)

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَنْ مَسَّ فَرْجَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever touches his private parts, let him perform ablution."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مَنْ مَسَّ ذَكَرَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ»

"I heard the Messenger of Allah say: 'Whoever touches his sexual organ, let him perform ablution.'" (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 482)

أَنَّهَا سَمِعَتْ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَنْ مَسَّ فَرْجَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ»

[AI] She heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "A man should perform ablution from touching his private parts."

أَنَّهَا سَمِعَتْ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «يَتَوَضَّأُ الرَّجُلُ مِنْ مَسِّ الذَّكَرِ»

[AI] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Whoever touches his private parts, let him perform ablution.'"

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ مَسَّ ذَكَرَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ»

[AI] I heard Urwah saying that Marwan sent a message to Busrah and asked her about this Hadith. She narrated that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When anyone of you touches their private parts, they should perform ablution."

سَمِعْتُ عُرْوَةَ يَقُولُ أَرْسَلَ مَرْوَانُ إِلَى بُسْرَةَ فَسَأَلَهَا عَنْ هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ فَحَدَّثَتْ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «إِذَا مَسَّ أَحَدُكُمْ ذَكَرَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ»

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "If one of you feels something he should perform ablution."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «إِذَا مَسَّ أَحَدُكُمْ ذَكَرَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ»

"The Messenger of Allah said: 'If anyone of you touches his penis, let him perform ablution.'" (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 479)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِذَا مَسَّ أَحَدُكُمْ ذَكَرَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "When one of you touches his private parts, or his female private parts, or his buttocks, then he should perform ablution (wudu)."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِذَا مَسَّ أَحَدُكُمْ ذَكَرَهُ أَوْ أُنْثَيَيْهِ أَوْ رُفْغَيْهِ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When one of you touches his private parts, let him perform ablution."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «إِذَا مَسَّ أَحَدُكُمْ ذَكَرَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ»

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "If one of you touches his private parts, then let him perform ablution."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «إِذَا مَسَّ أَحَدُكُمْ ذَكَرَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ»

[AI] If one of you places his side, let him perform ablution.

إِذَا وَضَعَ أَحَدُكُمْ جَنْبَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ

"If any one of you touches his private part with his hand, let him perform Wudu'." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 445)

"إِذَا أفْضَى أحدُكْم بيدِه إلى ذَكَرِه فليتوضأ".

"إِذَا أفضى أحدُكمْ إلى ذكَرِه فلا يصلِّ حتى يتوضَّأ".
