Abdullah ibn AbuBakr reported that he heard Urwah say: I entered upon Marwan ibn al-Hakam. We mentioned things that render the ablution void. Marwan said: Does it become void by touching the penis? Urwah replied: This I do not know. Marwan said: Busrah daughter of Safwan reported to me that she heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: He who touches his penis should perform ablution.

أَنَّهَا سَمِعَتْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَنْ مَسَّ ذَكَرَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ

"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Whoever touches his private part, let him perform Wudu'.'"

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ مَنْ مَسَّ فَرْجَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ

"I heard the Messenger of Allah say: 'Whoever touches his sexual organ then let him perform ablution."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَنْ مَسَّ فَرْجَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ

"I heard the Messenger of Allah say: 'Whoever touches his sexual organ, let him perform ablution.'"

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَنْ مَسَّ فَرْجَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ

[AI] For whoever comes into contact with the genitalia of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , let them perform ablution, and for any woman who touches her private parts, let her perform ablution.

لِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَنْ مَسَّ ذَكَرَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ وَأَيُّمَا امْرَأَةٍ مَسَّتْ فَرْجَهَا فَلْتَتَوَضَّأْ

I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say. . . He then mentioned the tradition to the same effect. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4492)

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] I entered the mosque in Damascus and saw people gathered and a sheikh speaking to them. I asked, "Who is this?" They said, "He is Sahl ibn al-Hanzaliyyah." I heard him saying, "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, 'Whoever eats meat, let him perform ablution.'"

دَخَلْتُ مَسْجِدَ دِمَشْقَ فَرَأَيْتُ أُنَاسًا مُجْتَمِعِينَ وَشَيْخًا يُحَدِّثُهُمْ قُلْتُ مَنْ هَذَا؟ قَالُوا سَهْلُ ابْنُ الْحَنْظَلِيَّةِ فَسَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَنْ أَكَلَ لَحْمًا فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ

"I heard the Messenger of Allah say: 'Whoever touches his sexual organ then let him perform ablution." (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 481)

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَنْ مَسَّ فَرْجَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ

[AI] I entered the mosque of Damascus and saw people gathered and a sheikh speaking to them. I asked, "Who is this?" They said, "This is Sahel ibn Al-Hanzaliyyah." So I listened to him saying, "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, 'Whoever eats meat, let him perform ablution.'"

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever touches his private parts, let him perform ablution." Urwah said, "I asked Busrah, and she verified it."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ مَسَّ فَرْجَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ» قَالَ عُرْوَةُ فَسَأَلْتُ بُسْرَةَ فَصَدَّقَتْهُ

"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Whoever touches his private part, let him perform Wudu'.'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 444)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «مَنْ مَسَّ فَرْجَهُ فَلْيُعِدِ الْوُضُوءَ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever touches his private parts should perform ablution (wudu) for prayer."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «مَنْ مَسَّ ذَكَرَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ وُضُوءَهُ لِلصَّلَاةِ»

[AI] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ, he said, "When one of you touches his private parts, then let him perform ablution, and the woman also likewise."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «إِذَا مَسَّ أَحَدُكُمْ فَرْجَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ وَالْمَرْأَةُ مِثْلُ ذَلِكَ»

[AI] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited a man from touching his private part with his right hand."

«نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنْ يَمَسَّ الرَّجُلُ ذَكَرَهُ بِيَمِينِهِ»

قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ مَنْ مَسِّ فَرْجَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ

أَن النَّبِيّ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ مَسَّ فَرْجَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ

[AI] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ who said: "Perform ablution after touching the private parts." And perhaps he also said: "Whoever touches his private parts should perform ablution."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «تَتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ مَسِّ الذَّكَرِ» وَرُبَّمَا قَالَ «مَنْ مَسَّ ذَكَرَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ»

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever touches his private parts should perform ablution."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ مَسَّ فَرْجَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ»

"I heard the Messenger of Allah say: 'Whoever touches his sexual organ then let him perform ablution." (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 481)

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever touches his private parts, let him perform ablution."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مَنْ مَسَّ ذَكَرَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ»

[AI] The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said, "Whoever touches his private parts should perform ablution."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ مَسَّ ذَكَرَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ»

[AI] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Whoever touches his private parts, let him perform ablution.'"

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ مَسَّ ذَكَرَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ»

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ مَسَّ ذَكَرَهُ أَوْ أُنْثَيَيْهِ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever touches his private parts should perform ablution for prayer."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مَنْ مَسَّ ذَكَرَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ وُضُوءَهُ لِلصَّلَاةِ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever touches their private parts, it is obligatory for them to perform ablution."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مَنْ مَسَّ فَرْجَهُ وَجَبَ عَلَيْهِ الْوُضُوءُ»

[AI] Whoever touches their private parts should perform ablution, and if they only touch them from the outside of their clothing, then wudu is not required for them.

مَنْ مَسَّ فَرْجَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ وَمَنْ مَسَّهُ يَعْنِي مِنْ وَرَاءِ الثَّوْبِ فَلَيْسَ عَلَيْهِ وُضُوءٌ

"The Messenger of Allah said: 'If anyone of you touches his penis, let him perform ablution.'" (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 479)

"إذَا مسَّ أحدُكُمْ ذكرهَ فليتوضَّأ".

"مَنْ أَفْضَى بِيَدِهِ إِلى ذَكَره فَليَتَوَضَّأ".

"مَنْ مَسَّ صَنَمًا فَليَتَوضَّأ".

"مَنْ مَسَّ ذَكَرهُ فَليَتَوَضَّأ".

"مَنْ مَسَّ فَرْجَهُ فَليُعِد الْوُضُوءَ".

"عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ قَالَ: مَنْ مَسَّ (إِبِطَهُ) فَليَتَوَضَّأ".

"عَنْ عُمَرَ قَالَ: مَنْ مَسَّ فَرْجَهُ فَليَتَوَضَّأ".

"عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ: مَنْ مَسَّ ذَكَرَهُ فَليَتَوَضَّأ".
