It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas that the Prophet ﷺ forbade praying after 'Asr. (Using translation from Nasāʾī 569)  

الكبرى للنسائي:٣٦٨ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ حُجَيْرٍ عَنْ طَاوُسٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ «نَهَى عَنِ الصَّلَاةِ بَعْدَ الْعَصْرِ»

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ نَهَى عَنِ الصَّلاَةِ بَعْدَ الْعَصْرِ  

abudawud:1274 – Muslim b. Ibrāhīm > Shuʿbah > Manṣūr > Hilāl b. Yisāf > Wahbb. al-Ajdaʿ > ʿAlī

The Prophet ﷺ prohibited to offer prayer after the afternoon prayer except at the time when the sun is high up in the sky.  

أبو داود:١٢٧٤ – حَدَّثَنَا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ هِلاَلِ بْنِ يِسَافٍ عَنْ وَهْبِ بْنِ الأَجْدَعِ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ نَهَى عَنِ الصَّلاَةِ بَعْدَ الْعَصْرِ إِلاَّ وَالشَّمْسُ مُرْتَفِعَةٌ  

tabarani:4900 – Aḥmad b. Yaḥyá al-Ḥulwānī > Muḥammad b. Muʿāwiyah al-Naysābūrī > Ibn Lahīʿah > ʿAbdullāh b. Hubayrah > Qabīṣah b. Dhuʾayb > Zayd b. Thābit

Abu Huraira is reported to have said that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited to observe prayer after the 'Asr prayer till the sun is set, and after the dawn till the sun rises. (Using translation from Muslim 825)

«أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنِ الصَّلَاةِ بَعْدَ الْعَصْرِ»

أَنَّهُ صَلَّاهُمَا بَعْدَ الْعَصْرِ
