So I said, "O Messenger of Allah, it is only a cloth (burdah) hanging (malha)." He said, "Do you not have in me a good example?" So I looked and his garment was halfway down his leg. Reported to us Abdul-Rahman ibn Muhammad ibn Salam Al-Tarsusi, he said: Abu Al-Nadr informed us, he said: Shayban informed us, from Ash'ath, he said: My aunt informed me, from the paternal uncle of Abu Ubaid ibn Khalid, he said: I came to Madinah when I was a young tribal man, and I had loosened my garment. So a man caught up with me from behind and mentioned something similar to it.

But whatever is lower than the ankle is in the Fire.’ And he said three times: ‘Allah will not look at the one who lets his lower wrap drag out of vanity.’” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3573)
