الكبرى للنسائي:٩٦٠١ – أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو ضَمْرَةَ قِرَاءَةً قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي يَحْيَى الْأَسْلَمِيُّ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ مَوْلَى ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ «أَنَّ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ كَانَ إِذَا اتَّزَرَ أَرْخَى مُقَدَّمَ إِزَارِهِ حَتَّى تَقَعَ حَاشِيَتُهُ عَلَى ظَهْرِ قَدَمِهِ وَيَرْفَعَ الْإِزَارَ مِمَّا وَرَاءَهُ» فَقُلْتُ لَهُ لِمَ تَتَّزِرُ هَكَذَا؟ قَالَ

«رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَتَّزِرُ هَذِهِ الْإِزْرَةَ»

Why do you put on the lower garment in this way? He replied: It is how I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ do it.
