4. Friday Ṣalāh (Jumuʿah)
[Machine] About Aisha, the wife of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ , she said, "People used to go out for Jum'a (Friday prayer) from their houses and rooftops."
[Machine] On the authority of the Prophet, ﷺ , he said: "Indeed, Friday prayer is obligatory upon whoever hears the call." This was mentioned by Ad-Daraqutni, may Allah have mercy on him, in his book with this chain of narration as a marfu' hadith. It was also narrated from Hajjaj ibn Artat from Amr in the same marfu' manner.
[Machine] He heard the call, so whoever hears it and does not come, has disobeyed his Lord, and this is an established fact.
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever hears the call to prayer and does not respond, there is no prayer for him. Qurada Abu Nuh narrated this from Shu'bah regarding its elevation. Mention of it has passed and others from the trustworthy have contradicted them."
[Machine] He heard the call but did not respond, so he has no prayer except with an excuse. This is mentioned as a statement by Ibn Abbas and narrated by Ma'ra Al-Abdi from Adi bin Thabit, as a marfu' narration.
[Machine] Narrated by Prophet Muhammad ﷺ : "Whoever hears the call to prayer but does not respond, their prayer will not be accepted." And Abu Tahir Al-Faqih informed us, narrating from Abu Abdullah Muhammad bin Abdullah As-Saffar, narrating from Ismail bin Ishaq, who also mentioned it in the same manner (raised narration). And it is also narrated from Abu Musa Al-Ash'ari in a raised and stopped manner.
[Machine] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ , he said: "Whoever hears the call to prayer and does not respond while he is free and healthy, then he will have no prayer."
[Machine] He heard the call but did not respond, so there is no prayer for him except with a valid excuse.
[Machine] He heard the call to prayer, empty and correct, then did not respond. Thus, Abu Bakr ibn Abi Burdah said, "There is no prayer for him." I only see him as a delusion.
[Machine] Ali said, "There is no prayer for the neighbor of the mosque except in the mosque." It was said, "Who is the neighbor of the mosque?" He said, "Whoever hears the caller."
[Machine] He used to come from the corner, riding two miles from Basra to attend the Friday prayer, and sometimes he does not attend it.
