That the Prophet ﷺ had said to her, "ʿAbdullah is a pious man."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ لَهَا إِنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ رَجُلٌ صَالِحٌ

ʿAbdullah bin ʿUmar used to say, "There is no more Hijrah (i.e. migration) after the Conquest of Mecca."

أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ ؓ كَانَ يَقُولُ لاَ هِجْرَةَ بَعْدَ الْفَتْحِ

ʿAbdullah bin ʿUmar used to say, "There is no migration after the Conquest (of Mecca).

أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ ؓ كَانَ يَقُولُ لاَ هِجْرَةَ بَعْدَ الْفَتْحِ

عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ

(As above 827).

عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ مِثْلَ حَدِيثِ مَنْصُورٍ

‘More weak than Ya’qūb bin Atā ’?’ He said: ‘Yes’. Then he said: ‘I did not see anyone transmitting on authority of Muhammad bin Abd Allah bin Ubayd bin Umayr’.

ذُكِرَ عِنْدَهُ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ اللَّيْثِيُّ فَضَعَّفَهُ جِدًّا فَقِيلَ لِيَحْيَى أَضْعَفُ مِنْ يَعْقُوبَ بْنِ عَطَاءٍ قَالَ نَعَمْ ثُمَّ قَالَ مَا كُنْتُ أُرَى أَنَّ أَحَدًا يَرْوِي عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ

An Amir or a person pronounced taslim twice. 'Abdullah said: Where did he get this sunnah?

عَبْدُ اللَّهِ أَنَّى عَلِقَهَا

A hadith like this has been narrated by the same chain of transmitters.

عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ نَحْوَهُ

"Ibrahim bin 'Abdullah bin Qariz."

إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ قَارِظٍ

A hadith like this has been narrated by 'Ubaidullah b. Umar with the the same chain of transmitters.

عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ مِثْلَهُ

"I heard Ibrahim (narrate) from 'Alqamah and Al-Aswad from 'Abdullah," and he narrated something similar. (Using translation from Nasāʾī 720)

عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ نَحْوَهُ

(Another chain) with similar meaning. (Using translation from Tirmidhī 3093)

عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بِنَحْوِهِ

[AI] "About Ubaydah, similar to him."

عَنْ عَبِيدَةَ مِثْلَهُ

[AI] "From Ibn Abbas, something similar to it."

عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ مِثْلَهُ

Another chain with similar narration. (Using translation from Tirmidhī 1599)

عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ نَحْوَهُ

[AI] "Like him is Ibn Umar."

عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ مِثْلَهُ

[AI] From Abdullah ibn Abu Bakr, with his chain of narration to him, something similar to this.

عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ بِإِسْنَادِهِ نَحْوَهُ

[AI] From Ubaidullah ibn Umar, approximately.

عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ نَحْوَهُ

[AI] About Ibn 'Umar regarding it.

عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ نَحْوَهُ

The above mentioned tradition has also been transmitted by Ma’mar through a different chain of narrators to the same effect. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 895)

عَنْ عُمَرَ نَحْوَهُ

[AI] From the son of Umar, similar to him.

عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ نَحْوَهُ

[AI] "From Abdullah, similar to him."

عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ مِثْلَهُ

When I came to Madinah, sickness was occurring in the city and they were dying quickly. I sat with 'Umar bin al Khattab ؓ and a funeral passed by, Good things were said about (the deceased) and ‘Umar ؓ said: It is due. Then another (funeral) passed by; good things were said about (the deceased) and he said: It is due. Then a third funeral passed by: bad things were said about the deceased and ‘Umar said: It is due. I said: What is due, O Ameer al Mu'mineen? He said: I said what the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: ʿAny Muslim in whose favour four people testify, Allah will admit him to Paradise.ʿ We said: Or three? He said: “Or three.ʿ We said: Or two? He said: ʿOr two.” Then we did not ask him about one,

حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ بُرَيْدَةَ

I wanted to ask ʿUmar something but I did not find a chance, so I waited for two years. Then when we were in Marraz-Zahran, he went to relieve himself, then he came after relieving himself and I poured water for him, I said: O Ameer al-Muʿmineen, who are the two women who helped one another against the Messenger of Allah ﷺʿ? He said: ʿAʿishah and Hafsah. ʿ As mentioned in the Qurʿan: ʿIf you two (wives of the Prophet ﷺ) turn in repentance to Allâh. (it will be better for you), your hearts are indeed so inclined to oppose what the Prophet ﷺ likes); but if you help one another against him (Muhammad ﷺ). then verily, Allâh is his Maula (Lord, or Master, or Protector), and Jibril (Gabriel). and the righteous among the believers, and furthermore, the angels are his helpersʿ (surah at-Tahreem 66:3)

عَنْ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ حُنَيْنٍ

[AI] "From Abdullah, similar to him."

عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ مِثْلَهُ

[AI] I visited Abdullah bin Mas'ud and discussed it with him.

غَدَوْتُ عَلَى عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] The translation is: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ , indeed Abdullah, indeed Abdullah."

رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِنَّ عَبْدَ اللهِ إِنَّ عَبْدَ اللهِ

[AI] "Salim, the father of Abdullah, told me."

حَدَّثَنِي سَالِمٌ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ

[AI] From his father, Abdullah bin Umar, a similar narration or something similar to this.

عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ مِثْلَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ أَوْ نَحْوَهُ

[AI] Nafi' informed me about Abdullah ibn Umar and mentioned something similar.

أَخْبَرَنِي نَافِعٌ عَنْعَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ

[AI] Hamza ibn Abdullah ibn Umar narrated it to me and mentioned it.

حَدَّثَنِي حَمْزَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ فَذَكَرَهُ

[AI] "From Abdullah son of Amr son of Al-Aas, something similar to that."

عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِي مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ

[AI] "From Abdullah Ibn Amr, similar to him..."

عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو نَحْوَهُ

عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ

[AI] From Abu Abdullah Al-Agharr, similar to it.

عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ الْأَغَرِّ نَحْوَهُ

[AI] "About Aamir, like him."

عَنْ عَامِرٍ مِثْلَهُ

[AI] Saeed reported on the authority of Abdullah bin Abi Awfa who said to him.

سَعِيدٍعَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي أَوْفَى مِثْلَهُ

[AI] "About worship."

عَنِ الْعِبَادَةِ

[AI] Yazid ibn Abdullah mentioned him.

يَزِيدُ ابْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ فَذَكَرَهُ

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ

[AI] The passage translates to: "Muhammad ibn Yusuf ibn Abdullah ibn Salam narrated the hadith of the neighbor."

عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يُوسُفَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ سَلَامٍ وَذَكَرَ حَدِيثَ الْجَارِ

[AI] "From Abdullah ibn Al-Harith."

عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ

[AI] "From Abdullah ibn Umar like that"

عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ

[AI] Yahya ibn Abbād ibn Abdullah ibn Zubayr narrated to me.

حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ عَبَّادِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ

Yahya related to me from Malik from Rabia ibn Abi Abd ar-Rahman that Abdullah ibn az-Zubayr allowed retaliation for a head wound which splintered the bone.

أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ الزُّبَيْرِ أَقَادَ مِنَ الْمُنَقَّلَةِ

Yahya related to me from Yahya ibn Said that Umar ibn al-Khattab asked a man what his name was. He said, "Jamra (live coal)." "The son of who?" He said, "Ibn Shihab (meteor, flame)." "From whom?" He said, "From al-Huraqa (burning)." "Where do you live?" He said, "At Harrat an-Nar (lava field of the fire). "At which one of them?" He said, "At Dhati Ladha (one with flames)." Umar said, "Go and look at your family - they have been burned." Yahya added, "It was as Umar ibn al-Khattab, may Allah be pleased with him, said."

أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ قَالَ لِرَجُلٍ مَا اسْمُكَ فَقَالَ جَمْرَةُ فَقَالَ ابْنُ مَنْ فَقَالَ ابْنُ شِهَابٍ قَالَ مِمَّنْ قَالَ مِنَ الْحُرَقَةِ قَالَ أَيْنَ مَسْكَنُكَ قَالَ بِحَرَّةِ النَّارِ قَالَ بِأَيِّهَا قَالَ بِذَاتِ لَظًى قَالَ عُمَرُ أَدْرِكْ أَهْلَكَ فَقَدِ احْتَرَقُوا قَالَ فَكَانَ كَمَا قَالَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ رضى الله عنه

Ibn ʿUmar used to send his Hadi from Jam' (to Mina) in the last third of the night with the pilgrims amongst whom there were free men and slaves, till it was taken into the Manhar (slaughtering place) of the Prophet ﷺ . (Using translation from Bukhārī 1711)

عن ابن عمر ؓ

[AI] "From Abdullah like him."

عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ مِثْلَهُ

(Another chain) with similar meaning. (Using translation from Tirmidhī 3093)

عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ

[AI] The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said to her, "Indeed, Abdullah bin Umar is a righteous man."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ لَهَا «إِنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ رَجُلٌ صَالِحٌ»

[AI] Talhah ibn Ubaydullah is also known as Abu Muhammad.

«طَلْحَةُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ يُكَنَّى أَبَا مُحَمَّدٍ ؓ»
