The Prophet ﷺ gave the verdict that ʿUmra is for the one to whom it is presented.

قَضَى النَّبِيُّ ﷺ بِالْعُمْرَى أَنَّهَا لِمَنْ وُهِبَتْ لَهُ

[AI] "That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'If you knew, you would mention it similarly.'"

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ لَوْ تَعْلَمُونَ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ

The Prophet ﷺ said: There is no ghoul. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 3913)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ لَهُ يَا بُنَيَّ

“I asked Jabir bin ‘Abdullah about hyenas: ‘Are they game (that can be hunted)?’ He said: ‘Yes.’ I said: ‘Can I eat them?’ He said: ‘Yes.’ I said: ‘Is this something that you heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ?’ He said: ‘Yes.’” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3236)

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ؟ قَالَ نَعَمْ

the Messenger of Allah ﷺ sold a Mudabbar. (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 2512)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ بَاعَ الْمُدَبَّرَ

Life grant is for one upon whom it is bestowed. (Using translation from Muslim 1625f)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ الْعُمْرَى لِمَنْ وُهِبَتْ لَهُ

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ forbade us from walking in one shoe.

نَهَانَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَنْ يَمْشِيَ أَحَدُنَا فِي النَّعْلِ الْوَاحِدَةِ

[AI] He informed him that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ decreed that Umrah is for whoever is granted it.

أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَضَى فِي الْعُمْرَى أَنَّهَا لِمَنْ وُهِبَتْ لَهُ

[AI] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade us from entering the unseen realms."

نَهَانَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَنْ نَدْخُلَ عَلَى الْمُغِيبَاتِ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited me from selling something that I do not possess. Ayub (one of the narrators) said, or he said (it was) a commodity that I do not have.

نَهَانِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَنْ أَبِيعَ مَا لَيْسَ عِنْدِي قَالَ أَيُّوبُ أَوْ قَالَ سِلْعَةً لَيْسَتْ عِنْدِي

[AI] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'The deceased from death due to a side blow is considered a martyr.'"

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ الْمَيِّتُ مِنْ ذَاتِ الْجَنْبِ شَهِيدٌ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ لَا شِغَارَ فِي الْإِسْلَامِ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ الْعُمْرَى لِلْوَارِثِ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ لَا تَبِيعُوا الْمُغَنِّيَاتِ

Qays ibn Talq said: Talq ibn Ali visited us on a certain day during Ramadan. He remained with us till evening and broke fast with us. He then stood up and led us in the witr prayer. He then went to his mosque and led them in prayer. When the witr remained, he put forward another man and said: Lead your companions in the witr prayer, for I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying: There are no two witrs during one night. أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ لَا وِتْرَانِ فِي لَيْلَةٍ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to accept the gift and reward for it.

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَقْبَلُ الْهَدِيَّةَ وَيُثِيبُ عَلَيْهَا

[AI] The translation of the passage into English is as follows: "The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , said: Whoever is held accountable will be punished."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ زَارَ الْبَيْتَ لَيْلًا

“Do not cut off (the thief's hand) except for something worth one quarter of a Dinar or more (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 2585)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ لَا تُقْطَعُ الْيَدُ إِلَّا فِي رُبُعِ دِينَارٍ

"The hand of the thief is to be cut off for a quarter of a Dinar, or more." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 4917)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ تُقْطَعُ الْيَدُ فِي رُبُعِ دِينَارٍ

"Geckos are vermin." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2886)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ الْوَزَغُ فُوَيْسِقٌ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ لِعَمَّارٍ تَقْتُلُكَ الْفِئَةُ الْبَاغِيَةُ

Yahya said, "Malik related to us from Ibn Shihab from Sa'id ibn al-Musayyab that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'The pledge given as security is not forfeited.' " Malik said, "The explanation of that according to what we think - and Allah knows best - is that a man gives a pledge to somebody in security for something. The pledge is superior to that for which he pawned it. The pledger says to the pawn-broker, 'I will bring you your due, after such-and-such a time. If not, the pledge is yours for what it was pawned for.' " Malik said, "This transaction is not good and it is not halal. This is what was forbidden. If the owner brings what he pledged it for after the period, it is his. I think that the time condition is void."

أنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قالَ: «لا يَغْلَقُ الرَّهْنُ» -[٧٢٩]- قالَ مالِكٌ: «وتَفْسِيرُ ذَلِكَ فِيما نُرى، واللَّهُ أعْلَمُ، أنْ يَرْهَنَ الرَّجُلُ الرَّهْنَ عِنْدَ الرَّجُلِ بِالشَّيْءِ، وفِي الرَّهْنِ فَضْلٌ عَمّا رُهِنَ بِهِ، فَيَقُولُ الرّاهِنُ لِلْمُرْتَهِنِ: إنْ جِئْتُكَ بِحَقِّكَ، إلى أجَلٍ يُسَمِّيهِ لَهُ، وإلّا فالرَّهْنُ لَكَ بِما رُهِنَ فِيهِ» قالَ: «فَهَذا لا يَصْلُحُ ولا يَحِلُّ، وهَذا الَّذِي نُهِيَ عَنْهُ، وإنْ جاءَ صاحِبُهُ بِالَّذِي رَهَنَ بِهِ بَعْدَ الأجَلِ، فَهُوَ لَهُ، وأُرى هَذا الشَّرْطَ مُنْفَسِخًا»

Yahya related to me from Malik from Amr ibn Yahya al-Mazini from his father that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There is no injury nor return of injury."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ لاَ ضَرَرَ وَلاَ ضِرَارَ

Messenger of Allah, do not say Amin before me. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 937)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «لَا تَسْبِقْنِي بِآمِينَ»

The Prophet ﷺ said: The contractual obligation of a slave is three days. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 3506)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «عُهْدَةُ الرَّقِيقِ أَرْبَعُ لَيَالٍ»

the Messenger of Allah forbade selling water. (Using translation from Nasāʾī 4660)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ «نَهَى عَنْ بَيْعِ الْمَاءِ»

[AI] On the authority of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, he said, "The seven repeatedly-recited verses (Al-Fatiha) are the opening of the Book."

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «السَّبْعُ الْمَثَانِي فَاتِحَةُ الْكِتَابِ»

[AI] I heard Salman Al-Farsi say, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ advised us not to burden ourselves for the guest."

سَمِعْتُ سَلْمَانَ الْفَارِسِيَّ يَقُولُ «نَهَانَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنْ نَتَكَلَّفَ لِلضَّيْفِ» سنده لين

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever is kind and dutiful to his parents, good tidings to him, may Allah increase his lifespan."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ بَرَّ وَالِدَيْهِ طُوبَى لَهُ زَادَ اللَّهُ فِي عُمْرِهِ»

[AI] The translation of the given Arabic sentence into English is: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'A believer is forgiven.'"

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «الْمُؤْمِنُ مُكَفَّرٌ»

[AI] From the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , he said, "Water is from water."

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ «الْمَاءُ مِنَ الْمَاءِ»

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Musk is the best of perfumes."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «الْمِسْكُ هُوَ أَطْيَبُ الطِّيبِ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever kills a person unjustly, his stomach will not be punished in his grave."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ قَتَلَهُ بَطْنُهُ لَمْ يُعَذَّبْ فِي قَبْرِهِ»

"Geckos are vermin." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2886)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «الْوَزَغُ فُوَيْسِقٌ»

"Whoever vows to obey Allah, let him obey Him, and whoever vows to disobey Allah, let him not disobey Him." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 3806)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ نَذَرَ أَنْ يَعْصِيَ اللَّهَ فَلَا يَعْصِهِ»

The Prophet ﷺ said, "ʿUmrá is permissible." (Using translation from Bukhārī 2626)

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «الْعُمْرَى جَائِزَةٌ»

"Yahya bin Abi Kathir narrated to us, he said: 'Abu Salamah bin 'Abdur-Rahman narrated to me, he said: "I heard Jabir say: 'The Messenger of Allah said: "A lifelong gift belongs to the one to whom it was given."'"'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 3750)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «الْعُمْرَى لِمَنْ وُهِبَتْ لَهُ»

"There is no lifelong gift. Whoever is given something as a lifelong gift, it belongs to him." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 3752)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «لَا عُمْرَى وَمَنْ أَعْمَرَ شَيْئًا فَهُوَ لَهُ»

"Abu Az-Zubair informed me that he heard Jabir saying: 'The Messenger of Allah said: "Whoever is given something on the basis of 'Umra it belongs to him for the rest of his life and after he dies."'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 3735)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ أُعْمِرَ شَيْئًا فَهُوَ لَهُ حَيَاتَهُ وَبَعْدَ مَوْتِهِ»

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «الْوَزَغُ فُوَيْسِقٌ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Do not combine my name and my nickname."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «لَا تَجْمَعُوا بَيْنَ اسْمِي وَكُنْيَتِي»
