10. Baṣrans (11/27)
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "When two men marry the same woman, the first one has more right. And when two men compete to buy something, the first one has more right."
the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade selling animals for animals on credit. (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 2270)
The Prophet ﷺ said: Acts of begging are lacerations with which a man disfigures his face, so he who wishes may preserve his self-respect, and he who wishes may abandon it; but this does not apply to one who begs from a ruler, or in a situation which makes it necessary. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1639)
[Machine] He used to remain silent for a while after he finished praying with them. And when he recited the verse "Not the path of those who have evoked [Your] anger" (Al-Fatiha 7), he remained silent for a short moment. They objected to this, so he wrote to Ubay ibn Ka'b and Ubay wrote back to them that what Samurah did was correct.
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed two units of prayer with us during the solar eclipse, and we did not hear him say anything in them.
10.12 [Machine] Arfajah bin As'ad
AbdurRahman ibn Tarafah said that his grandfather Arfajah ibn As'ad who had his nose cut off at the battle of al-Kilab got a silver nose, but it developed a stench, so the Prophet ﷺ ordered him to get a gold nose. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4232)
[Machine] "That he was wounded in his nose on the day of the dogs in the pre-Islamic era, so he mentioned a similar incident."
[Machine] He saw his grandfather, meaning he recognized him.
[Machine] "That his nose was injured on the day of the dogs in the pre-Islamic era, so he mentioned a similar incident."
[Machine] His grandfather, Arfajah, was hit in the nose on the day of the dogs, so he mentioned the incident.
[Machine] He injured his nose on the day of the dogs, meaning the water they had disputed over during the time of ignorance. So, he mentioned a similar incident and said at the end, "So I took a golden nose as a replacement, but you are not like it."
[Machine] I heard my father say, "A group of people from the companions of Hadith came and sought permission from Abi Al-Ashhab, and he granted it to them. They said, 'Tell us.' He replied, 'Ask.' They said, 'We do not have anything to ask you about.' Then his daughter from behind the curtain said, 'Ask him about the Hadith of Arfajah bin As'ad when his nose was injured on the Day of the Battle of Kullab.'"
I have heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: Different evils will make their appearance in the near future. Anyone who tries to disrupt the affairs of this Umma while they are united you should strike him with the sword whoever he be. (If remonstrance does not prevail with him and he does not desist from his disruptive activities, he is to be killed.) (Using translation from Muslim 1852a)
10.13 [Machine] A man from Bani Salit.
[Machine] He passed by the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while he was sitting at the gate of the mosque with a worn-out garment that does not have any other covering on it, and he was saying, "The Muslim is the brother of another Muslim, he does not wrong him nor does he abandon him. Taqwa (piety) is here." The Prophet ﷺ pointed to his chest with his hand.
10.14 [Machine] A man from the Bani Sulaim tribe
[Machine] Narrated by one of the sons of Sulaiman, whom I consider to have seen the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , that Allah tests His servant with what He has given him. So whoever is content with what Allah has allotted for him, Allah blesses him in it and expands it for him. And whoever is not content, Allah does not bless him in it.
10.15 [Machine] My Handsome Father, About His Father
[Machine] The people were struck on a Friday, meaning with rain, so the Prophet ﷺ commanded that it be announced that the prayer today, or the Friday prayer today, should be performed in the tents.
[Machine] He said, "Oh Abu Suleiman, in which year did you hear from Nafi' ibn Umar?" He said, "In the year sixty-nine, the year of the Battle of Husayn."
[Machine] In His saying, blessed and exalted be He, "And do not confer favor seeking [from others] an increase" (Quran 74:6). He said, "Do not give something while seeking more than it."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "How amazing is the situation of the believer! Allah only decrees for him that which is good for him."
10.16 [Machine] A Man About the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ
[Machine] A man and I were traveling with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , and people were watching us. In the afternoon, it was time for the Prophet ﷺ and me to take a rest, so he stopped and I stopped with him. He struck my shoulder and said, "Say, 'I seek refuge in the Lord of daybreak.'" So I said, "I seek refuge in the Lord of daybreak." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ recited it and I recited it with him. Then he said, "Say, 'I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind.'" So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ recited it and I recited it with him. He said, "When you pray, recite these."
10.17 [Machine] Men from the Companions of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ
"Whoever believes in the Last Day, let him treat his neighbour well. Whoever believes in Allah and Last Day, let him honor his guest. Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, let him say something good or else remain silent" (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3672)
[Machine] From the companions of the Prophet ﷺ , it was narrated that the Prophet ﷺ mentioned something similar.
[Machine] "He came to the Prophet ﷺ and embraced Islam, with the condition that he would only perform two prayers. The Prophet accepted that from him."
[Machine] "I was raised to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , and I heard him saying: 'A Muslim is the brother of another Muslim, he does not wrong him, nor does he abandon him. Taqwa (piety) is here,' and he pointed to his chest, 'Taqwa is here,' and he pointed to it two or three times."
10.18 [Machine] Stronghold of Ibn Yasar
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever is entrusted with the responsibility of taking care of a group of people, but deceives them, then he will be in the Hellfire."
[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "He is not a true leader of a nation, whether it be small or large, who does not uphold justice within it."
[Machine] Indeed, I will tell you a story that I have not told you before. I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "Allah does not entrust a servant with the care of people, and then he dies on the day he dies while deceitful to them, except that Allah has forbidden Paradise for him."
The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever takes a (false) oath in order to grab (others) property, then Allah will be angry with him when he will meet Him." (Using translation from Bukhārī 2673)
[Machine] He witnessed the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on the day of Hudaybiyah while he was holding a branch from a tree in his hand, protecting the head of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , and people were giving allegiance to him, pledging not to flee, and they were then 1,400.
“Whoever swears a false oath in order to seize the wealth of a Muslim unlawfully, he will meet Allah when He is angry with him.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 2323)
[Machine] When my father became ill, the son of Ziyad came to him and narrated the incident.
[Machine] "A man from the Ansar married a woman and her hair fell out. So, he asked the Prophet ﷺ about sexual intercourse. The Prophet cursed the one who does the act of Waseela and the one who is being Waseela'd."
“Worship during the time of bloodshed is like emigrating to me.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3985)
[Machine] We were in the city and there was a lot of dates. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited us from eating dried dates. A man came to him and asked him about his old mother, whether he should offer her wine as she does not eat food. Maqil prohibited him.
[Machine] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: The cow is the pinnacle of the Quran, and its apex is the verse 'Allah! There is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of existence' [Quran 2:255]. Eighty angels descend with each verse of it. It was extracted from beneath the Throne, and it was connected to either Surah Al-Baqarah or Surah Ya-Sin. The heart of the Quran is Surah Al-Baqarah. No person reads it, desiring Allah and the Hereafter, except that they are forgiven. And recite it over your deceased."
“Recite Qur’an near your dying ones,” meaning Ya-Sin. (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 1448)
[Machine] I heard Maqil ibn Yasar saying, "We were with the Prophet ﷺ during one of his journeys, and we stopped at a place with plenty of garlic. Some of the Muslims consumed it and then came to the mosque to pray with the Prophet ﷺ. He forbade them from doing so. They came to the mosque again after that, and he forbade them once more. They came to the mosque yet again, and their smell could be detected. He said, 'Whoever ate from this tree, let them not come close to our mosque.'"
[Machine] "We were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on a journey, and he mentioned its significance to us."
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ commanded me to judge between people, so I asked, "What is the best way for me to judge, O Messenger of Allah?" He replied, "Allah is with the judge as long as he does not knowingly commit injustice."
that the Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever says three times when he gets up in the morning: 'A'udhu Billahis-Sami Al-'Alim Min Ash-Shaitanir-Rajim' and he recites three Ayat from the end of Surah Al-Hashr - Allah appoints seventy-thousand angels who say Salat upon him until the evening. If he dies on that day, he dies a martyr, and whoever reaches the evening, he holds the same status." (Using translation from Tirmidhī 2922)
[Machine] "One day, the Prophet ﷺ performed ablution and asked me, 'Do you have any intention of marrying Fatimah?' I replied, 'Yes.' He then sat next to me and said, 'Indeed, her burden will be carried by someone other than you, and the reward will be yours.' It was as if I had never had anything until we entered upon Fatimah. He asked her, 'How do you find yourself?' She replied, 'By Allah, my sadness has intensified, my sorrow has deepened, and my illness has prolonged.' Abu Abdur-Rahman said, 'I found in the handwriting of my father [Ali] in this narration, 'Would you be pleased if I married you to the one who is the most senior among my followers, the one who has the most knowledge, and the one who possesses the most patience?'"
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Injustice will not remain after me except for a short time, until something from justice disappears with it. Then, in injustice, someone will be born who does not know anything but it. Then Allah will bring forth justice, and every time something from justice appears, something from injustice will disappear with it, until someone is born who does not know anything but justice."
[Machine] And the companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to gather during his lifetime and good health. Allah called upon them: whoever hears the Messenger of Allah ﷺ mentioning a matter related to his grandfather, stand up.' Ma'qil ibn Yasar stood up and said: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: "A duty will be brought forth in which there is a grandfather, and he will be given a third or a sixth." He asked: "What is the duty?" He replied: "I do not know." He asked: "What prevented you from knowing?"
Which of your knows what share the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had given to the grandfather from the estate? Ma'qil ibn Yasar said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ gave him a sixth. He asked: Along with whom? He replied: I do not know. He said: You do not know; what is the use then? (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 2897)

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Worship during trials is like making a migration to me."
[Machine] About a man who was Al-Hasan, may Allah will it so, from Ma'qil ibn Yasir, he said, "There was nothing beloved to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ than horses." Then he said, "O Allah, forgive! Not just women."
