[Machine] He used to remain silent for a while after he finished praying with them. And when he recited the verse "Not the path of those who have evoked [Your] anger" (Al-Fatiha 7), he remained silent for a short moment. They objected to this, so he wrote to Ubay ibn Ka'b and Ubay wrote back to them that what Samurah did was correct.  

أحمد:٢٠٢٦٦حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ أَخْبَرَنَا مَنْصُورٌ وَيُونُسُ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ سَمُرَةَ بْنِ جُنْدُبٍ

أَنَّهُ كَانَ إِذَا صَلَّى بِهِمْ سَكَتَ سَكْتَتَيْنِ إِذَا افْتَتَحَ الصَّلَاةَ وَإِذَا قَالَ {وَلَا الضَّالِّينَ} [الفاتحة 7] سَكَتَ أَيْضًا هُنَيَّةً فَأَنْكَرُوا ذَلِكَ عَلَيْهِ فَكَتَبَ إِلَى أُبَيِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ فَكَتَبَ إِلَيْهِمْ أُبَيٌّ أَنَّ الْأَمْرَ كَمَا صَنَعَ سَمُرَةُ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to remain silent when he entered into prayer and when he finished recitation. Imran ibn Husayn disapproved of this and wrote to Ubayy ibn Ka'b. He wrote back to them affirming that Samurah was truthful.
