[Machine] He witnessed the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on the day of Hudaybiyah while he was holding a branch from a tree in his hand, protecting the head of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , and people were giving allegiance to him, pledging not to flee, and they were then 1,400.  

أحمد:٢٠٢٩٣حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَجِيدِ الثَّقَفِيُّ أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ عَنِ الْحَكَمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْأَعْرَجِ عَنْ مَعْقِلِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ

أَنَّهُ شَهِدَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَوْمَ الْحُدَيْبِيَةِ وَهُوَ رَافِعٌ غُصْنًا مِنْ أَغْصَانِ الشَّجَرَةِ بِيَدِهِ عَنْ رَأْسِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ يُبَايِعُ النَّاسَ فَبَايَعُوهُ عَلَى أَنْ لَا يَفِرُّوا وَهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ أَلْفٌوَأَرْبَعُ مِائَةٍ

«ثُمَّ بَايَعَ النَّاسُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ زَمَنَ الْحُدَيْبِيَةِ وَهُوَ تَحْتَ الشَّجَرَةِ وَأَنَا رَافِعٌ غُصْنًا مِنْ أَغْصَانِهَا عَنْ وَجْهِهِ فَلَمْ نُبَايِعْهُ عَلَى الْمَوْتِ وَلَكِنْ بَايَعْنَاهُ عَلَى أَنْ لَا نَفِرَّ وَهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ أَلْفٌ وَأَرْبَعُ مِائَةٍ»
