So I entered without seeking permission or greeting. The Prophet ﷺ said, "Go out and greet with peace upon you, shall I enter?" And that was after Safwan had embraced Islam. Abu Asim said, "Daghabis is a female camel located in the desert."

[Machine] A bedouin man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "Inform me of an action that will bring me close to paradise and keep me away from the hellfire." The Prophet ﷺ asked, "Have the two matters weighed heavily upon you?" The Bedouin man replied, "Yes." The Prophet ﷺ said, "You should speak justly and give preference to others." The man said, "By Allah, I cannot speak justly every hour, and I cannot give preference to others over my own wealth." The Prophet ﷺ said, "Feed the hungry and spread peace." The man said, "This is also difficult for me." The Prophet ﷺ then asked, "Do you have any camels?" The man replied, "Yes." The Prophet ﷺ said, "Look for a camel from your herd that is weak and its belly is down, then give it water to drink and go to a household that does not have water except very little and give them the water. Perhaps you will not lose your camel or have your water supply broken, and as a result, you will be granted paradise." So, the Bedouin man left while uttering takbeer (saying "Allahu Akbar") and his camel did not have its water supply broken, nor did his camel die, until he was martyred.

[Machine] "Oh Messenger of Allah, listen to him," he said. "Where is the army of 'Uthran?" The Prophet ﷺ recognized that army and said, "I was in that army." Tariq ibn al-Muraqqi asked, "Who will give me a spear in reward?" I asked, "What is its reward?" He said, "The first daughter born to me, I will marry her to him." So I gave him my spear, but something happened and I lost it. Later, I heard that he had a daughter who had reached marriageable age, so I said to him, "Let me take her as a wife and she will be my reward." But he refused unless I paid him a dowry. So the Prophet ﷺ said, "How much can you afford to give him?" I said, "She has seen the Qatir." So the Prophet ﷺ said, "It is best for you not to commit a sin or make her commit a sin. Leave her and don't pursue it."

[Machine] I heard the Prophet ﷺ giving a sermon during the Farewell Pilgrimage in the middle of the days of Tashreeq, saying, "Is this day Haram (forbidden)?" They (the people) replied, "Yes, O Messenger of Allah." He said, "Certainly, your blood, your wealth, and your honor are as sacred among you as the sanctity of this day of yours. I inform you who is a Muslim: a Muslim is one from whose tongue and hand the Muslims are safe. I inform you who is a believer: a believer is one whom the Muslims trust with their lives and wealth. I inform you who is a Muhajir (emigrant): a Muhajir is one who abandons sins that Allah has forbidden. It is forbidden for a believer to shed his blood, consume his flesh unlawfully, backbite him, violate his honor, strike him in the face, harm him, or repel him with a repulsion that shakes his faith."

[Machine] When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ arrived in Medina, after his departure from Taif, Bujair ibn Zuhair ibn Abi Sulma wrote to his brother Ka'ab ibn Zuhair ibn Abi Sulma, informing him that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had killed a man in Makkah who used to insult and harm him. He also mentioned that the remaining poets of Quraysh, such as Ibn Al-Ziba'ra and Hubayrah ibn Abi Wahb, had fled in all directions. If there is something you need for yourself, then flee to the Messenger ﷺ as he does not kill anyone who comes to him repenting. And if you do not do so, then escape to your own safety. Ka'ab recited poems in which he praised the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and mentioned his fear and the trembling of his knees due to the news. Then he left until he reached Medina and stayed with a man who had a connection with him from Juheinah, as he had told me. The next morning, he accompanied him to the Messenger of Allah's ﷺ prayer. He prayed with the people, then his companion pointed him towards the Prophet ﷺ and said, "This is the Messenger of Allah, so go to him and seek his protection." He told me that he approached the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and placed his hand in his hand, but the Messenger of Allah did not recognize him. He said, "O Messenger of Allah, Ka'ab ibn Zuhair has come seeking your protection, having repented and embraced Islam. Will you accept him if I bring him to you?" The Messenger of Allah ﷺ replied, "Yes." He said, "O Messenger of Allah, I am Ka'ab ibn Zuhair." Ibn Ishaq said, Asim ibn Omar ibn Qatadah narrated to me that a man from the Ansar jumped towards him and said, "O Messenger of Allah, let me and Allah's enemy strike his neck." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Leave him, for he has come repenting and seeking pardon." The Ansar were angry with this man for what he had done to their companion.

He advised Ka'b to seek the protection of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , as he does not kill anyone who comes to him repenting. If he did not want to do that, he should go to his own people for help. When Ka'b received the letter, he felt overwhelmed and frightened for his life. Those who were present with him trembled, assuming that he had been killed. When he could not find anything to say, he recited the poem he had composed praising the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and describing his fear and the trembling of his limbs. Then he left until he reached Madinah and stayed with a man named Ma'rifah, with whom he had some connection in Juhaynah. In the morning, he went with him to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and prayed with the people. Then Ma'rifah pointed him out to the Prophet, saying, "This is the Messenger of Allah." He asked Ka'b to come forward and gave him his hand. Since the Messenger of Allah ﷺ did not know who he was, Ka'b said, "O Messenger of Allah, Ka'b bin Zuhair has come, seeking your protection, remorseful and a Muslim. Would you be willing to receive him if I bring him to you?" The Messenger of Allah ﷺ replied, "Yes." Ka'b then said, "O Messenger of Allah, I am Ka'b bin Zuhair." Ibn Ishaq said that 'Asim bin 'Umar bin Qatadah reported that a man from the Ansar alighted and said, "O Messenger of Allah, let me take his life for you as the enemy of Allah." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ replied, "Leave him, as he has come repentant and seeking forgiveness." The Ansar became angry at him for what he had done to their companion. That happened because they did not know that Ka'b had come repentant, seeking forgiveness.

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed ablution, then rinsed his mouth three times and sniffed water into his nose three times, taking fresh water for each. He washed his face three times. After wiping his head, he said, "Like this," and gestured with his hand from the front of his head to the back, reaching as far as the bottom of his neck from his temples.

I entered upon the Prophet ﷺ while he was performing ablution, and the water was running down his face and beard to his chest. I saw him rinsing his mouth and snuffing up water separately. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 139)
«دَخَلْتُ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ وَهُوَ يَتَوَضَّأُ وَالْمَاءُ يَسِيلُ مِنْ وَجْهِهِ عَلَى لِحْيَتِهِ وَصَدْرِهِ يَفْصِلُ بَيْنَ الْمَضْمَضَةِ وَالِاسْتِنْشَاقِ»
[Machine] I saw the messenger of Allah ﷺ perform ablution and then he wiped his head.

[Machine] He heard Abu Ruhm Al-Ghifari, who was one of the companions of the Prophet ﷺ who pledged allegiance under the tree, saying, "I accompanied the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in the Tabuk expedition. When we were traveling at night, I walked near him, and then I felt drowsy and accidentally got close to his camel, fearing that I might injure his leg with a thorn. So I delayed my camel until I overcame drowsiness during a part of the night. Then his camel nudged my camel's leg with a thorn, causing it to get injured. I didn't wake up until he said, 'Has.' So I asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to seek forgiveness for me, and he said, 'Be silent.' Then the Prophet ﷺ woke up and asked me about those who lagged behind from the Banu Ghifari. So I informed him about their delay, then he asked me, 'What did the red camels with a streak of gray do?' So I told him about their delay, and he said, 'What did the black group do? Or the small dark-gray ones, who have blessings in their network of shade?' Then I mentioned the Banu Ghifari, but I didn't mention them until I mentioned a group of Muslims. So I said, 'O Messenger of Allah, those are a group of Muslims who have lagged behind.' So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'So what prevents any of those who lagged behind from carrying a mounted man on a camel from his camels, who is active in the way of Allah? For it is more honorable for my family that the Muhajirun of Quraysh, the Ansar, and the Ghifar tribe lag behind rather than me.'"

[Machine] He (Abu Ruhamah) heard Kalthoom bin Huthayn, one of the companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, who pledged allegiance under the Tree, saying: I participated in the battle of Tabuk with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. One night, I walked with him while we were in the Al-Akhdir area, close to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. We became overcome with drowsiness, and I fell asleep with my camel close to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. As my camel approached his, I became startled out of fear that it may hit the leg of his camel. So, I pulled my camel away from his until my eyes closed for a while. It was late in the night, and my camel caught up with the camel of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and its leg hit the saddle. I did not wake up until he said, 'Hass!'. I said, 'O Messenger of Allah, seek forgiveness for me', and he replied, 'Go on'. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked me about those who had been left behind from the Banu Ghifar tribe. I informed him about them, and then he asked me, 'What did the red-footed brown camels do?' I explained their absence, and then he asked, 'What did the black-footed white camels do?' I said, 'By Allah, I do not know who they are among us'. He said, 'Rather, it is those who have abundant wealth tied to their saddles'. I then remembered them among the Banu Ghifar tribe, but I did not mention them until I remembered that they were allies of ours. So, I said, 'O Messenger of Allah, they are allies of ours from the Muslims'. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'What prevented any of those (wealthy people) when they were left behind from carrying a camel loaded with his mixed luggage for the sake of Allah's cause? Truly, I consider my Muhajirin from the Quraysh, Ansar, Ghifar, and Aslam to be above my own family''.
