23. Chapter of Kāf (Male)
[Machine] Al-Qa'nabi narrated from Malik, from 'Ataa' bin Abdullah al-Khurasani, who said: "A man came to me in the market of Kufa and told me that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to him while I was blowing underneath a pot for my companions. My head and beard were infested with lice. He took hold of my forehead and said, 'Shave this off and observe fasting for three days or feed six poor persons.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ knew that I did not have anything with which to provide food."
[Machine] It was narrated that the Prophet ﷺ passed by someone during the Umrah of Hudaibiyah, and his hair had become thick. The Prophet said to him, "O Ka'b ibn 'Ujrah, this is harming you." He replied, "Yes, Messenger of Allah. Do I have permission?" The Prophet said, "Shave it, or fast for three days, or feed six poor people."
[Machine] I experienced a headache while I was with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in the year of Hudaybiyah, to the point where I became worried about my eyesight. Then Allah revealed: "So whoever among you is ill or has an ailment of the head [making shaving necessary must offer] a ransom of fasting [three days] or charity or sacrifice." So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ called me and said, "Shave your head and fast for three days, or feed six poor people with raisins or sacrifice a sheep." So I shaved my head and remained silent.
[Machine] Narrated by the Prophet ﷺ, he said: "There are supplications that are never answered negatively; when one says 'Glory be to Allah' thirty-three times, 'Praise be to Allah' thirty-three times, and 'Allah is the Greatest' thirty-three times after every obligatory prayer."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There are expiations for those whose statements do not fail, who glorify Allah thirty-three times and praise Him thirty-three times after every prayer, and who glorify Him thirty-four times."
There are certain ejaculations, the repeaters of which or the performers of which after every prescribed prayer will never be caused disappointment:" Glory be to Allah" thirty-three times." Praise be to Allah" thirty-three times, and" Allah is most Great" thirty-four times. (Using translation from Muslim 596a)
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "There are thirty-three tasbih, thirty-three tahmid, and thirty-four takbir that are not invalidated by the one who recites them or the one who performs them after every prayer."
[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: "There are certain phrases that the one who says or does them will never be disappointed. They are: Subhanallah (Glory be to Allah) thirty-three times, Alhamdulillah (Praise be to Allah) thirty-three times, and Allahu Akbar (Allah is the Greatest) thirty-four times, after every prayer."
