23. Chapter of Kāf (Male)
[Machine] The passage says: "It is said that the Mulaa'ib of Asinah came to the Prophet ﷺ in Tabuk. The Prophet ﷺ offered him Islam, but he refused and presented a gift to the Prophet ﷺ . The Prophet ﷺ said, 'We do not accept gifts from polytheists.' Then he said, 'Send whoever you want to the people of Najd, for I am their neighbor.' So the Prophet ﷺ sent a group, among whom was Al-Mundhir ibn 'Amr, who was known as 'A'nq (which means severed) so he can die. 'Amir ibn Al-Tufail heard about them and mentioned the incident."
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Who is your leader, O children of Salimah?" They said, "Al-Jadd bin Qais, but we regard him as stingy." He said, "And what disease is worse than stinginess?" They said, "Who is our leader, O Messenger of Allah?" He said, "Bishr bin Al-Bara bin Ma'rur."
[Machine] He informed them that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Who is your leader, O Banu Salamah?" They said, "Our leader is Al-Jadd bin Qays." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Why do you belittle him?" They said, "Because he is wealthier than us and we measure him with stinginess." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "What disease is worse than stinginess? He is not your leader." They said, "Then who is our leader, O Messenger of Allah?" He said, "Your leader is Bashir bin Al-Bara' bin Ma'rur."
[Machine] It was narrated that the Prophet ﷺ was asked, "Who is the best among people?" He replied, "A believer between two honorable people."
The Prophet ﷺ said: The believer is simple and generous, but the profligate is deceitful and ignoble. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4790)
[Machine] It was reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Who sighted the killing of Hamza?" A man replied, "May Allah honor you, I witnessed his killing. So he walked and stood over Hamza and saw that his stomach had been split and he had been disfigured. He said, 'O Messenger of Allah, he has been disfigured.' So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ disliked looking at him and stood between the killed corpses and said, 'I am a martyr for them, as these wounds will bleed with blood on the Day of Resurrection and their color will be the color of blood and their scent will be the scent of musk. They have come with reciting the Qur'an the most, so bury them together."
[Machine] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent back Al-Bara' ibn Ma'roor while he was suffering from a stroke. He commanded whoever is taking care of him to place him in front of the fire until his condition improves."
[Machine] "He asked the Prophet ﷺ about a sacrifice done by a woman with a stone, and he did not see any problem with it."
