I entered upon the Prophet ﷺ while he was performing ablution, and the water was running down his face and beard to his chest. I saw him rinsing his mouth and snuffing up water separately. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 139)  

الطبراني:١٦٥٢١ – حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ هَاشِمٍ الْبَغَوِيُّ ثنا أُمَيَّةُ بْنُ بِسْطَامٍ ثنا مُعْتَمِرٌ ثنا لَيْثٌ عَنْ طَلْحَةَ بْنِ مُصَرِّفٍ عَنْ أبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ قَالَ

«دَخَلْتُ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ وَهُوَ يَتَوَضَّأُ وَالْمَاءُ يَسِيلُ مِنْ وَجْهِهِ عَلَى لِحْيَتِهِ وَصَدْرِهِ يَفْصِلُ بَيْنَ الْمَضْمَضَةِ وَالِاسْتِنْشَاقِ»
